This place has a certain candour that you don't see as much nowadays - it doesn't pretend to be…read moreanything that it isn't. It's family run, honest, relatively cheap and has an odd charm about it.
Basically, T's is a little collection of old boxy buildings of different shapes and sizes attached to a number of Tennis courts. They're an outdoor pool (that I didn't try, it was too cold out!) and a mini golf range (where I think you have to pay $5 to play).
The owner was good humoured and chatty, she gave us a quick tour and some milk for making tea and coffee in our rooms.
We stayed in the economy cabin. It was a small boxy room with a double bed, mini fridge, mugs, towels, some plates, a kettle, a small TV, a heater and plenty of blankets. It warmed up quickly, the bed was comfy and the place was neat and clean. If it was noisy, we didn't hear it.
All accommodation here includes free continental breakfast near check in, which has toast, crumpets, cereal, plenty of spreads, tea, coffee and juices. The owner came over and had a chat with us again about our trip and gave us some advice about where to stop.
It's about a 10 minute drive (or 30 min walk) from the centre of town, which has lots of fish and chip places, bars and restaurants.
Look, if you're looking for luxury this isn't the place. But if you're looking for a quirky place that's good value, give it a go. I know we'll be going back.
