This place is so fun and great to hang out in. It's the best and cleanest men only spa in the LA area. You pay for 8 hours and can pay for another 8 hours and stay up to 16 hours. Lockers are less expensive than rooms. Getting a room gives you more privacy and also a chance to rest. It's also fun to leave the door open in case you click with someone walking by. There are 3 "Deluxe Rooms" that are larger than the rest and have a small hallway window with blinds. Those are the best. Bring flip flops or shower sandals to walk around in. You can also buy them there. Best times are Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, but I've heard there are "rush hours" at noon during the week and around 5-7pm when it gets really busy for a few hours. The steam room is dimly lit and really fun and they have a sauna too. There's a nice outdoor patio with a fountain where you can take sun on lounge chairs. There are 2 video rooms for groups with lots of seating. There are also "play rooms" you can check out. There's a bathroom upstairs and then downstairs there are several showers and also two bathrooms. You can always bring your towel back to the front desk for a new one and they also offer larger towels. If you want a new towel you just have to ask. The staff is constantly cleaning everything and the steam room and showers look great. If you're hungry, they have a bar where you can order snacks, juices and soft drinks. Give a tip personally to the staff on duty at the desk and the guy who clean rooms as it's a tough job and they work hard cleaning. They will change your sheets with new ones if you ask nicely (I always leave a tip for this) and make sure your room is in order; they are super sweet, especially José. read more

I have a five month membership at this establishment. When I went this last time they said I trashed the last room I was in a few months ago and wanted to charge me $45 for a cleaning fee. I explained I didn't do what they said I did, but they didn't believe me. I had no proof of having done anything wrong, & said I always kept the room in good condition. The rate says $50 on their board right next to the window, and they always up charge by a different amount every time. Maybe a call to LA county is in order. First time here on a Sunday afternoon, arriving at about 1:00pm. There's no onsite parking, which really worried me because I drove 45-mins to get there. It's in a major street, and I was able to find parking just across the street. I smiled, and nicely told the guy at the front desk that this was my first time. He was totally cool, so the comments about the rude employees must have come from people who were rude themselves. I got checked in quickly, and got a room with a small TV. The room itself was outrageously small, but it definitely served its purpose. No pool, no hot tub. MAIN FLOOR. Huge steam room that was the perfect temperature with a ton of steam. It's dimly lit, so it was a smidge too dark for my liking, but I still had plenty of fun in there. OK sized dry sauna that also was the perfect temperature. Shenanigans going on in both. Two bathrooms. Big snack bar that was fully stocked with all kinds of stuff. Some gym equipment, including a treadmill. Lounge area playing that movie with Vin Diesel where he can see perfectly in the dark and he's on an alien planet. A bunch of showers and two bathrooms. Lockers are also on the first floor. SECOND FLOOR. Two decent sized video rooms with two level seating. Full on orgy going on in one. One bathroom. STD testing room that was open and staffed. A bunch of private rooms. An outdoor patio with plenty Ty of nice outdoor recliners. Crowd was on the older side, but there were a bunch of younger guys there, too. The 5 stars is more a reflection of this place's personal importance to me and the community. As far as bathhouses go, it's probably more of a solid 3 1/2 - 4 star experience. The steam room is excellent, as is the sun deck. The playrooms are good enough, though the smaller one is really too small. The GH booths are fine; I prefer a more public alley, but hey, whatever. The crowd is pretty good, generally down to play, leans middle-aged but a good mix. I confess, there were other spas in town that I liked better, but they all closed. Now it's down to NoHo and FLEX, and NoHo is miles better. I see a lot of negative comments here about the staff. I've found them generally professional. It might not be service with a smile, but the place is clean and basically well-run. Whatever the venue's modest flaws, I'm profoundly grateful it's still around. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly pretty crowded. Got a room and jungle juice came to like $70. Steep price but was overall worth it. Lockers are way cheaper too like $30. I carry a little booz to have a nice buzz. Liquor store is next door which is convenient. I recently got on doxy pep so feel safer to live out some anon fantasies. 2 things I wanted to point out that I had no idea they had, for the bottoms there is a private bathroom stall with sink on the 1st floor. It's on the right before you get to the showers. Perfect for douching. And 2nd they have private gloryhole rooms right when you reach the top of the stairs. It says "Fun Zone' on the doors. Darkly lit and the doors lock which is a nice feature. One downside is they don't have a jacuzzi. :( I miss the indoor one they had years ago. It's definitely not as crowded as it was 20 years ago when I was barely 21 lol. Man that was the best. So many tops ugh. I try out this place long time ago and last week i do visit again and hmm i feel so fun, maybe i meet the person around here is nice guy , we talking and enjoying each other very nicely. That is my experience having fun here . And for the steam room and shower area is just okay, don't expect to much like in the luxury place. I heard and read the comments some people talking very badly about this place , maybe on that time when they visit they meet bad guys, i do see before. But we can avoid that person. Or you think you in danger and that bad guy attacks you just going out and tell front desk person to call police or you can call by yourself. I wanna say don't bother going if you're a chubbier guy. You'll most likely be ignored. Most of the guys there are older but still plenty of hotties. There's a gym a sauna and a cafe which I thought was a plus and the private rooms are small but not terrible the walls are thin though. The vibe depends on the night. My ex BF and I go to this one as an alternative since they shut the other one in downtown LA. Midtowne was our favorite spot. A lot smaller yes, but makes it so lesser to make rounds if that makes sense. I enjoy the steam room very much. The GH rooms are so much fun also. Putting on a show is what my ex BF really enjoyed. I front desk staff was incredibly attentive. Facility was clean and spacious. There's a gym with 8 pieces of workout equipment with 10 sets of dumbbells. A 3 bench steam room and a very comfortable ad a ( all on first floor. The reason the Hollywood Spa was closed was due to the fact that their location, which was leased, became highly desired by the new Hollywood club scene. The space was leased and the owners of the building sold it out from under the Spa, for some enormous sum. (Sad, but who of us wouldn't do the same?) Perhaps Peter W. was treated poorly; we don't know. But we also don't know how poorly Peter W. may have been treating the staff or the environment or the other customers. At any rate, using his subjective experience, over objective facts, to determine the Spa's closure of its other club in Hollywood, is illogical and just factually incorrect. Full disclosure: I'm NOT in any way connected to the Hollywood Spas except as a long-time customer. Nor am I being paid or even discussing this review with the Spa or its personnel. I'm just a guy who has never been treated, nor has heard of anyone else being treated the way Peter W. declares he was. (Although, I admit, I do dislike his whiney tone.) I am standing in front of the door in awe about how poorly I was treated by the on duty cashier. The way I was just treated was appalling. The cashier told me when I went to pay that they were closing at 6 AM. I was fine with that. However, he did not tell me that my membership had expired, therefore being $35 instead of $25 until after he had run my card. I asked him, and he just shrugged his shoulders. I went upstairs, and just got angrier and angrier as I thought about it. While I did not mind that there were not a lot of people, the unfriendliness and lack of courtesy from the cashier really upset me. I came down and asked him why he did not tell me that my membership had expired and it was going to be $35 instead of $25 for a locker, and his response was, it's not his responsibility to tell me. I'm at the signs are posted. I asked him why he didn't say anything, and he was so nasty and had the worst disposition. And I left immediately, after less than 10 minutes there, because I was so furious at this man's behavior. And he was putting it on me like it was my fault.
