The INDIAN employee have tried to scam me for my money 2 times now. The first one, I came in and paid my $20. This was supposed to give me 4 hours. I knew what time I got here, so I always check the time in and out that they write. He tried to give me a used green ticket that was going to expired in an hour and a half. I told him the time was wrong, and he said, "oh, I didn't see!" HE TRIED TO GIVE ME A USED TO TICKET SO WE CAN POCKET THE MONEY I JUST GAVE HIM! For some reason, he always asked people for the ticket back when people leave. SCAM! He wants to keep it so they can give that to a person that isn't paying attention and doesn't check the times when they get there. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, he is able to pocket the money that the person just paid. The second time he tried to scam me, today, October 13, 2024, he wanted to check my ticket. I knew the time that I came in and what time I'm supposed to leave by. When he gave me a green ticket back, it was a completely different one with different times!!! He tried to switch it up so he can use my ticket to give to another person. I told him he gave me the wrong one! Then he was like, "oh you want to stay the whole hours?!" WHY DOES IT MATTER TO HIM OF I DO OR NOT?! THE INDIAN GUY IS A SCAMMER. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR TICKETS WHEN YOU GET IN TO SEE IF THE TIMES ARE CORRECT AND THAT THEYRE NOT GIVING YOU A USED ONE. ALSO, PAY ATTENTION WHEN HES CHECKING TICKETS SO HE DOESNT SWITCH IT UP ON YOU!! IF I DIDNT PAY ATTENTION, HE WOULD HAVE SCAMMED ME! I KNOW HES ALREADY SCAMMED SOOOO MANY PEOPLE FOR THEIR MONEY! I want to give this a higher rating, but strangely, I also want to give it one star. So I compromised. There is no place like the Tiki Theatre. It has stood the test of time, and is practically a Hollywood landmark. It is unclean. There is rampant drug use, either openly in the theater or, in some feeble attempt a secrecy, the bathroom. This bathroom, by the way, is close enough to the "action," which means if someone sinks a mean dook, the whole place will stink up. This will probably happen during your 4-hour visit. This brings me to my next topic: the smells. Think of a bodily fluid. Well, it has steeped into and subsequently dried into every chair in the house, and probably pooled into a puddle beneath them, too. I can't fully describe the olfactory experience besides to call it otherworldly. The patrons typically stick to themselves for the most part, but as you might expect, the ones that don't are quite cruisy, and sometimes pushy. You may be, uh, grabbed. Don't expect staff to do anything about it. There will probably be at least one transient in the audience. They may or may not smell or be unruly, but they will be there all night. The last time I visited, the manager and employee were locked in an extremely heated argument regarding the employee allegedly following female patrons, which disrupted my customer experience and frankly, disturbed me. Pricing is more than expected, although considering the risk these types of businesses take, it is understandable. To finish my critique of the Tiki Theatre, I once got a yeast infection from a chair there (for future reference it's the center chair on the 2nd row, and folks, I recommend keeping all articles of clothing on). So why the generous three stars? Well, firstly, I want to say that the dungeon-esque dark and dank characteristics of this place, and most adult video viewing venues, form in the mind of a new patron a most unsavory atmosphere. Intimidation and distaste is sure to follow, however both the reaction and the perception liable is mostly a production of the mind. If you can come into these venues with a more open-minded and realistic expectations, the fright dissipates, and the sleaze that once prompted revulsion comes to be welcomed. The Tiki Theatre is the paragon of such uncouth virtues, and because of this, it has won my heart. The proverbial dark-and-dank that defines these sorts of establishments are better represented here than any other competing establishment in LA. The selection at Tiki Theatre is not amazing, but it is absolutely good enough to take care of, ahem, the business at hand. The screen and sound are also acceptable. And finally, I would like to say of my fellow audience members that most are far nicer and more approachable than we seem. Just keep things respectful and within reason, for God's sake! But to mention the will of the divine in such a place of wickedness is futile. There is no God here. We like that. read more

Tiki Theater is a small good movie theater with a good size screen as well, but the content shown on the screen is long and boring low-grade xxx videos that go on and on. OK, so I drive past this place many times and I've been curious.
