SERVICE PROVIDED WAS ABUSIVE: The service provided by Dr…read more James Leonette was poor and abusive. I feel as a mother it is my duty to inform female patients about his bullying behavior. As background my daughter is wheelchair bound and doesn't have full use of her arms/hands and is unable to stand and walk. Red Flag #1 When sitting down for her FIRST appointment with Dr. Leonette my husband and I were with her as we are her caregivers. Usually during the initial consultation there are introductions, a get to know you, and your medical history. He didn't want to listen to her tell her medical history and interrupted her repeatedly and asked her instead what her goals are. Red Flag #2 When he was being rough and causing pain she expressed to him that it hurt and to back off, and he didn't adjust pressure, he just said it's going to hurt and to deal with it. To put it into perspective her hands and body are arthritic and osteoporotic. Her hands and fingers are contracted and fragile. For him to not adapt could cause permanent damage. HUGE RED FLAG #3 He wheeled her to the X-Ray room where I wasn't allowed and shut the door. My daughter asked if she needed to take off her glasses for the X-Ray, and he knelt down to her face and told her "You need to calm the fuck down!" Mind you we just met him, she's in a room alone with him and can't leave on her own. When he wheeled her out of the room I could tell something was wrong in her expression and he was off. She couldn't tell me what happened until after we got home because she was so shook up. I called the office immediately to request that I talk with him. When he called back I questioned him for how he treated my daughter, and asked why he did it. He said, "I am unorthodox in my approach and I do it to throw people off of their patterns." To which I said, you just met her, how do you know her "patterns", you wouldn't hear her history? I then asked why he wouldn't stop when she was hurting and asking him to stop and adjust pressure? For both questions he made excuses for himself that he was having a bad day because he was having back pain. He was unwilling to adapt his approach and was unapologetic. To say that my daughter is shook up and feeling vulnerable is an understatement. On paper Dr. James Leonette tics the boxes, he is highly educated and skilled, but in reality he is egotistical and domineering, and based off of this appointment his disposition is ill-equipped to working with the handicap population.

Really easy to schedule with Troy. As a health care worker, I have to have my N95 respiratory fit test yearly, but as a traveler I'm not always in the hospital when it comes due. I appreciated how simple it was to schedule and appointment. I also appreciated that this was far simpler than the usual fit test. Would definitely utilize this place again, at least for this aspect of the facility.

I have only been to one Chiropractor since I've lived in Morgantown, and I don't plan on going…read moreanywhere else! I had spondylolisthesis in my 5th lumbar vertebrae about a year ago, but wasn't diagnosed until I had my first evaluation and x-rays completed by Dr. Jared S. He also told me that my spine was slightly crooked and that my hips were out of alignment. I was soon going to his office for weekly appointments so he could gently reposition the troublesome vertebrae, straighten out my spine, and re-allign my hips all at once. Each appointment only took me a total of 30 minutes at the most between walking through the door and exiting. After only a few weeks of treatment my lower back pain was nearly gone, and after a few more months of appointments my pain was gone. It surprised me how friendly Dr. Jared and his staff are. They try to get to know me beyond the appointments. My schedule was always changing with my call-basis job, and they were perfectly willing to try to find times that would work best for me and I rarely ran into problems with rescheduling. Yes, my treatment was a simple one and wasn't too difficult to reschedule, but despite this they made sure to understand my situation and work out a solution. All in all I have had a very enjoyable experience with them, and I plan to visit them again in the future. Very friendly and helpful!
