I decided on TCO Blaine due to their close location to my home and their new facilities. I contacted my insurance, and they are in-network!! I was able to make my first appt within 7 days of calling. Check-in was a breeze. The lobby directory told me to report to the 2nd floor clinic. Big enough lobby with a big TV and coffee bar. My wait wasn't long. The reception, Medical Assistant (Makenzie??) and Medical Doctor (Dr. Ridley) were friendly and welcoming. After my exam, it was recommended that I return for hand therapy. Appointments are made on the 1st floor so I headed down to that suite. A gentleman helped me make an appointment for 4 days later (today, Friday). So today was my 2nd time here. Today, I met with Katie, an occupational (hand) therapist. She was great! She worked on my wrist, arm, and shoulder to see where I was having pain. She gave me verbal and written instructions/ homework/ daily exercises to do at home for the next couple of weeks. So we'll see how I feel in 6 weeks. It may be one and done, or I'll need to see her again. Haven't received a bill, so I can't speak on that yet.. But overall, I've been happy with how I've been treated.

I would not waste your time/money with these clowns at Summit Orthopedics. I live in Blaine…read moreMinnesota. I went to Summit Orthopedics in Blaine, Vandais Heights and Plymouth offices. The long and short of it is that Kevin Lingren told me to go see Dr. Ed Santos. Dr Ed Santos told me to go see Dr. Saber. Dr Saber then sent me back to Ed Santos and Ed Santos sent me back to Kevin Lingren. I still have no resolution or understand what is wrong with me and it has been 6 months. I am very frustrated with Summit Orthopedics. Just to provide some background - the weekend of May 18, 2024 this started. By that Monday I struggled to walk up the stairs. The first week the pain was in my lower back. I was still able to function normally albeit slowly. Second week I started having trouble sitting. Third week I could not sit at all. It was so painful I had to lie on the floor all the time. The pain was very severe in my left hip and especially in my hip flexors. It felt like it was the entire left hip, front, back and side. First I saw a hip doctor Kevin Lingren on June 7 2024. He took X-rays, looked at them and said my hips are healthy and the problem was probably originating from my spine. No physical exam. He prescribed steroids for me. I made an appointment to see the surgeon Dr Ed Santos. I was impaired greatly and can barely make it through my day. I finally get to see his PA. I complained that the pain was so bad in my left hip flexors, two of them, one in my groin and the one leading to my quadricep. Hurt so bad I could not function. I had to ask for a physical exam. I still don't feel like I had a comprehensive exam, I thought I had more than one thing happening to me but no one addressed another potential issue, they just kept saying severe stenosis. An MRI and PT was prescribed. I could not get into see the PT because they were very busy so I started doing very gentle movements at home. I could not function normally. I could not go to the gym, grocery store or work. I could not function when I got out of bed. I couldn't even prepare something to eat or tie my shoes. I started doing PT movements at home. I watched hours of you tube videos every day to hopefully gain a little knowledge on what might be happening with me, I still had no idea and the doctors did not give me any information beyond stenosis and me having a 6th lumbar vertebrae (which the MRI never mentioned). Since they have the knowledge I would expect that one of these doctors would do a physical exam and could explain what was happening to me. oth hip Flexors were so painful I could not cough or take a deep breath. It hurt too bad to sit on the toilet so I used a female urinal. I couldn't bend over to feed my dogs. I had to lay down on the floor all day every day, either on my back or on my stomach. I ate on the floor. I worked from home laying on my back looking up at the monitors placed on the edge of my desk. EVERY DAY I would watch HOURS of you tube videos to find out how I could help myself and do gentle rehab on myself. My range of motion was poor. My left leg was weak, especially my knee and hip flexors. I fought every day to get it back. I couldn't do anything or go anywhere unless I did rehab. I couldn't take a shower or get ready without having to spend 20 or 30 minutes on the floor to reset my hips. I couldn't drive. I had to wait 6 weeks to go see the surgeon to go over the MRI results. I was in agony. Crying daily. I felt my life was over. I didn't know what was wrong with me. Finally I got to see Dr Santos and he barely spent 5 minutes with me. No physical examination whatsoever. I still was not getting any information. He didn't explain it to me or how/why it happened. Spending time with me to explain this would have helped me a lot. Instead he told me that I basically have stenosis on the left side of my L5/L6. He said he didn't think I would need surgery and he recommended me to go see MD, Dr Saber. I finally was able to see dr. Saber's PA. Although I know the diagnosis of stenosis was accurate, my symptoms are not consistent with stenosis, they are consistent with a soft tissue injury. I passed a lot of the tests they give me because I am physically fit but no one bothered to test my hip flexors even though that is what I have been complaining about the entire time. I failed my left knee jerk reaction. She gave me no physical examination. I was frustrated. I left crying. I was injured on May 20th 2024 and now it is November 10th 2024 I am doing much better but still suffer a little. I still can't really sit in an office chair so I have a sit/stand desk. At home I moved my recliner to my desk. I still have to take Advil and Tylenol but probably half of the day instead of the whole day. I am taking all my information and my MRIs to go see a real doctor at Twin Cities Spine Center. The reason I am better now is because of ME. I want these drs to hear this. They did not help me during a time when I needed it.

Even when it correctly recognizes the department I request, it frequently transfers me to the wrong location or disconnects the call after multiple transfers. I was diagnosed with an infection, but when my test results were returned, my physician never reviewed them. I made numerous attempts to contact the office, but I was unable to reach anyone by phone because of the phone system. The only way to communicate with the clinic was to drive there in person. Given the seriousness of my medical situation, this lack of communication was very concerning. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic.

The receptionist said we had to be there at least 20 minutes before the scheduled appointment. I knew nothing about this. I made the appointment through the scheduling line, as usual and that was the time she was scheduled for. My mother is substantially demented, running low on the medication they sent her home with from the hospital, and is suffering from edema, which though present previously, has gotten so much worse and her prescribed furosemide is no longer taking care of this. They gave us an appointment in April. I'm planning on contacting my attorney. I will take her to Health Partners. I'll never use a Fairview Clinic or a Fairview Hospital again. We'll take her to Regions.

Despite this, my entire half day was wasted before they completed my cleaning. Six months later, I returned for my scheduled appointment only to be told I had to complete the same small X-rays or "take my business somewhere else." although they already completed panoramic X-rays. They wasted my time at both appointments, as if I didn't have work or other responsibilities. The lack of professionalism, communication, and compassion was extremely disappointing.

This dentist office is not worth your time or money…read more I also feel that my overall health care was drastically diminished by the care that I received in this dental office. I left my last dentist because she does not accept Medicare Advantage. I do have gum disease, however, my pockets have been holding steady at 5's for the last 20 years. Is it a coincidence that within one year of seeing this hygienist, my pockets have all of the sudden increased to 7's? I guess I'll never know the answer to that. My last appointment with them was for a cleaning in October of 2024. During this appointment Yer Lee (the hygienist), pierced my lower lip with her dental tools. It took approximately 1 1/2 weeks for the swelling to go down. Her reaction to the piercing was: "It's ok". My reaction: "No it's NOT OK". She also smeared fluoride all over my teeth (even though in my last appointment, I specifically stated that I don't want that treatment. After researching it, I found that the ADA states " Fluoride must be ingested, topical fluoride is ineffective". Plus, I have a bridge for my upper 6 teeth (i.e. they are fake teeth). Yer Lee is obviously not smart enough to realize that fluoride, even if the ADA had thought that it was effective, can NOT be absorbed by fake teeth. When I called to cancel my next appointment and ask that my dental records be sent to my new dentist, the office staff wasn't even curious as to WHY I was leaving their facility for another. Her attitude was almost as if they get lots of these requests.
