My local state park that I have quite literally lived in and visited for many many years. The lake walk is beautiful and so relaxing. There are so many shelters to relax at. It's simply perfect.

Always enjoy walking around the lake and boathouse areas. It's nice to see some of the wildlife around like the Great Blue Herons. Recently, we spotted a Mute Swan hanging out in and out of the water.

This park in the North Hills of Pittsburgh (McCandless, Hampton, and Pine townships) is nearly 3,100 acres in size, and it has a 65-acre lake for boating, kayaking, and fishing. Other amenities are a nature center, golf courses, swimming pool, ice rink, dek hockey rink, ballfields, shelters, off-leash areas for dogs, basketball courts, archery range, tennis courts, fields for radio-control airplanes, Go Ape zip lines and tree crossing, etcetera! They even have a restaurant to eat at. I have hiked the trails at this large, beautiful park many times, and I consider this park to be a blessing to the residents of the Northern suburbs and to visitors. By the way, as you can see, I am no professional protographer, but if you want to see some absolutely amazing photos of wildlife, particularly birds, from North Park, then I encourage you to follow North Park on their social media. Those photographers' bird photos are gorgeous!

The boat house always beautiful and especially during the Fall.

I have been enjoying North Park for such a long time and it is always there for a long trek, kayak adventure, or a trail hiking outing. I love Marshall Island and the pond there and also the tennis and pickle ball courts. I have taken multiple photos of it which I will include as part of the review.

Check out the map I took a picture of at the park for locating the cherry blossom trees. They have a peak bloom and are so beautiful.

Wonderful park. The dog parks are great and clean, and the lake itself is a blast. You can rent kayaks and canoes for a fun family day.

The center also offers private instruction for golfers of various ability levels. My husband and I are not "real" golfers; We visited for the mini golf. Currently, the cost for the putt putt is $8 per adult and $5 per child aged 13 and under. When we paid our fees for the putt putt, the employee promptly and politely served us. The putt-putt course was not the most interesting that I have ever played, but my husband and I had fun with it. We skipped one hole because it was covered in some rain or other water, but the other holes were in good condition. After we finished our putt-putt game, I returned to the employee to purchase a small Hershey's ice cream. She again served us very promptly and politely. I had chosen the Orange Blossom flavor, which contained vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet, and I enjoyed it.

I give the atmosphere and food a solid 5 at Shooters. Wednesdays and Fridays they have live music. And the menu is good for what the establishment is. I loath having to sit at that bar when he's there. The MOST miserable human I've ever met. Completely ignores you when there's 3 other people at the bar. This guy should never work in an environment with other humans. Mark I do not know how this person has a job. Your entire staff across all your establishments are amazing. Highly impressed. Nice thick slices of multigrain toast, fried egg, ton of bacon, tomato, avocado, and pesto. Served with some breakfast potatoes as well which were tasty. Bottomless mimosas were tasty. Waitress kept them coming and they all tasted great. Overall, Shooters is a great spot. Never a bad time at this place. Great staff. All the food is good. The smash burger or the buffalo chicken wrap are my go-to when it's not brunch. Only gripe is they don't separate the bay fee from your food bill which is an attempt to inflate tip percentage in my opinion.

The Seth Raynor layout boasts template hole designs such as Punchbowl, Eden, Cape, Redan, Alps, and Biarritz. The front nine features more template holes than the back with the inward nine showcasing more hole designs unique to Fox Chapel. Like all Raynor courses, Fox Chapel focuses much more on good architecture and having fun rather than a punishing challenge. The result is a layout that you look forward to playing every time out whether it is with your buddies, spouse, or kids. The family friendly club delivers a parkland layout that caters to all handicap levels with a modest level of forced carries and non grassed areas with additional facilities that include fine and casual dining, a swimming pool, and tennis courts. Raynor conceived a routing that makes it one of the easiest and most enjoyable courses to walk that you'll find, especially considering the rolling terrain. This feature helped Fox Chapel secure the 2002 Curtis Cup and the 2012-2014 Senior Players Championships. The layout also lends itself to Fox Chapel boasting a healthy caddie program with three levels of caddie experience to choose from while those that don't wish to walk being offered a cart for their round. Bottom line, Fox Chapel is a flagship example of how to deliver a club that attracts families through great amenities, service, and a Top 100 golf course that is flat out fun for every handicap level. In conclusion, I wish Fox Chapel was my home course. The routing is a ton of fun with brilliant versions of Redan and Biarritz; my favorite par three designs. From the scratch golfer to the guy taking his family out for a round, Fox Chapel beautifully caters to a wide swath of golfers with the enjoyable architecture that only Seth Raynor could deliver. A top five course in Pennsylvania, don't miss an opportunity to play here.

The place was pretty crowded with all simulators full and people hanging out at the bar. There weren't any openings for that night, but we were able to book a 2 hour slot for Sunday evening. Per the employee we spoke to, it takes approximately one hour per person to finish an 18 hole course on the simulator. We came back on Sunday and it was definitely less crowded. While we waited for our turn, we ordered some drinks and food at the bar. The food was lackluster, but I wasn't expecting much. Basic tortilla chips and nacho cheese/salsa. The boneless wings were decent and fresh, but they didn't have just a regular buffalo hot wing flavor, so we just got them without sauce. The simulator was explained to us in detail and we took some time to practice before getting "on" the course. We brought our own clubs, but we were told you can borrow clubs, if necessary. You definitely have to know how to golf if you're trying to get through the course. It's been a while since I golfed, so the good news for me is that they cutcyou off after double par. Ha. Because of my lack of skills, we only made it through 9 holes in 2 hours, but it was still a lot of fun. The simulators have cameras above you so you can actually play back your swing and see what you're doing right/wrong. The balls are dispensed on a tee with the push of a button, which is nice. The simulator is pretty accurate when it comes to your swing - mine barely went anywhere, while my husband's went far. Haha.
