The staff was friendly and they had some interesting routes. The small size is a downside, and also their hours are limited. On weekdays they're open in the evening. And on weekends they're open from noon - 5:00 p.m. Also, there are a few ways they could improve. First, most routes don't have the finish marked, so we were left wondering where the ending was or if it's a top-finish climb. The walls are sparce- they could fit more routes in. And the walls are pretty worn out- lots of chipped paint and chalk residue. That being said, I had a fun time, the staff was friendly, and the price was fair. I'll probably go again if I'm in the area.

He inserted himself coaching my family who was doing well in unfamiliar surroundings and caused divisions by insinuating my husband was doing all the work and we weren't helping him. This Team doesn't appear to have it together. We listened to Johnnys long story about nothing on the busride to the river only to find out we had to still stand in the hot sun while he gave another 45 minutes of instructions (which could have been given on the bus instead of the joke attempts). the lunch spot has tall grass and biting flies. Johnny got mad at another family because they could work the valve on the archaic water jugs and sarcastically stepped in to show everyone how easy it was. We were all super thirsty and under stress mind you. we will never go with this outfitter again.

Just so you know from the get go here, I did not pay for this myself, my school that I had went to,…read moreHope For Hyndman Charter School took the 5th and 6th graders there every year as a overnight field-trip. So we get there and that is when I found my first problem, the bunks. This is not like a "normal" camp like you see in the movies either, so the boys' bunks were in the basement of the building where all of the water valves are. Let me just say, hormonal teenage boys + the girls hot water valve does not end well. The girls bunks were upstairs in 4 different rooms. They were tiny, cramped, and had bedbugs. Then you go on a hike up a mountain with a big group of people without stopping for any breaks the entire time. Which is not a good time in case you didn't know. After that you get back and go to the game room which is also in the basement which has tabletop games like ping pong, pool, air hockey, etc. There is also archery, zip lining, rock climbing, "trust exercises", fishing, and a sky swing. Over all it was a pretty fun time, the people running it were nice, and they took good care of the place at least.

We had a fantastic visit with Karen and Don. What a hidden gem tucked in the valley of the…read moremountains. The river is directly across the street and perfect for trout fishing. Karen and Don gave us a walking tour of the area and showed us all kinds of interesting flora and fauna. We had such a wonderful time relaxing, hiking, and enjoying the scenery. They had great tips on what to do in the area. Don gives fly fishing lessons and is a patient teacher. We had a fantastic breakfast and lots of interesting conversation. I think Karen and Don know something about everything. It was great. I was sorry that we had to be on our way. The good news is this is a 4 seasons area. I'm sure it's beautiful in the fall and is a short drive to Wisp Resort for winter skiing.

We stopped by one afternoon and Don took time to give us a full tour of the cottage as well as the bed and breakfast. He even gave my husband a fly fishing lesson. In the center of the park is a decent sized fishing pond where I have caught many bluegills, although the sign says it is stocked with trout (so you may catch some here and there). There is also a decent sized playground for kids, a public swimming pool (which you can check times and cost online), and I believe some type of paddle boats (you may have to check the hours and such for that) which is the only watercraft allowed on the pond. They appear to cut the grass on Fridays (so allergy sufferers beware). They have plenty of covered picnic areas, trash cans, and bathrooms.. although I don't believe I have seen any doggy stations (I saw one lady the other day who didn't bother to pick up her dogs poop, yuck). They are open from 8am til Dusk.
