Think twice before booking and staying here! After staying at the North Pier Hotel in Cowes on the weekend I felt compelled to provide feedback on our experience. Based on our experience I would have to say we would NEVER revisit. I simply cannot fathom they have no form of after hours representation, well nothing that is easily located. No reception, no security. An emergency number is buried in the small brochure and we only located this the following morning. At the cost for the room for the night (nearly $300), there is no walk through of the venue, no introduction to the room or facilities located therein, but the main issue was the 'Party' going on in the room directly above ours (Room 303). We are not party poopers and the music playing not really an issue. What was an issue was the jumping around and running from one end of their room to the other, the sliding of the balcony door and crashing it closed. Once or twice, no problem. But this was a constant throughout the night. At around 11pm I went to the room to request the running around and jumping up and down on the floor be kept to a minimum. The young male occupant who answered the door knew exactly why I was there and apologised explaining it was his girlfriends birthday party. I went back to our room and upon arriving there we had birthday cake thrown from their balcony at ours. This hit the balcony door, narrowly missing my partner who had just come inside. The noise increased becoming louder as if to imply "Up Yours!" We were incensed at this going to the hotel premises next door to speak with security. On the way down we witnessed 2 of the male occupants of the room throwing things from the balcony. We spoke with Security who came to our room and investigated the claims. They then said they would deal with it and speak to the occupants of the room directly above. We thought this would be the end of it, but no. After security left two drinks were poured over the railing from above onto ours, music level was increased, the stomping became louder and more defiant, along with the opening and slamming of the sliding door and their entry door. This continued through until 1am where I got out of bed and went to confront them again. I was greeted by the same male occupant who was in a near naked state. He apologised again and I left. This did nothing other than merely cause them to carry on further. At 2am we were close to calling the Police, uncertain whether they even had any jurisdiction within the premises. At around 2.30am the party makers had obviously had enough of their partying and decided to call it a night. At the end of the day, there should've been some form of on-site hotel representation to deal with matters of unruly and defiant party makers... All at the expense of other guests paying a premium price for a room. When checking out the following morning we both spoke with the girl at reception who was shocked and apologetic for the occurrences during the night. Whilst it's not, and wasn't her fault we asked that this matter be documented on our booking information so we could follow up with an email to advise how disappointed we were with your accommodation venue. I suggest management visit Rm 203, have another staff member go to the room directly above and replicate the activities of this night to appreciate what is audible directly below along with consideration of the hour of the night. I expected investigation and follow up from management, but Saltwater Properties could care less. Their response to me was basically a list of what we should've done... A little late after the fact. No acknowledgement there's an issue or of the issues and would look into it further, possibly making changes. Just an email saying sorry and saying we should've done this, or could've done that... Not good enough and assume the rest of the Saltwater managed Properties are afflicted with the same, or similar problems and probably with the same level of after sales customer service Just our thoughts, but buyer beware! read more

Nice hotel. Just stayed 2 nights. Good location overlooking the beach. Lovely little village of Cowes. Clean, basic room. Shower was just ok. Reception has limited hours. Room service forgot to replace tea bags and milk but the bar staff were friendly and helped out. Would stay again. read more
