Our family, neighbors, fellow ranchers, and farm-animal community have relied on Stockmans Vet Clinic since it first opened. The difference in care, professionalism, and judgment since the departure of Dr. Kramer is stark and already well known throughout this town. We arrived with a dog actively bleeding from a longstanding mass -- a situation that required immediate triage. Despite having a confirmed appointment, we were told we were not on the schedule. No attempt was made to verify the error, correct it, or address the medical emergency in front of them. The veterinarian who interacted with us demonstrated no urgency, no empathy, and no professionalism. Communication was dismissive and disrespectful, and our dog's condition was minimized rather than assessed. At no point was there concern for the risk of continued bleeding or deterioration. This was not a misunderstanding -- it was a failure of basic veterinary responsibility. When a clinic cannot manage scheduling accurately, respond appropriately to an emergency, or treat long-term clients with professionalism, it raises serious concerns about patient safety. Among long-time ranchers and animal owners in this area, the decline of this clinic is already being discussed openly. Trust, once lost, does not return easily -- especially when animals' lives are placed at risk. We will not return, and we can no longer recommend this clinic to anyone who expects competent, compassionate veterinary care.

So happy with the way she cares for the dogs and doesn't "upsell" you like some other places I have been to. Fair, upfront pricing is very important when it comes to vet care and she walked me right through all I needed to know. Super A++++ I'm taking my dog in tomorrow!

If I could give zero stars I would. I am new to the area and used this kennel to board my dog…read morebecause they had good reviews and seemed like a good place. My mother picked my dog up today as I wasn't going to make it back on time. The vet staff said "Oh, we didn't think you were coming until tomorrow". Upon seeing him, she expressed to me that he was not his normal self but initially attributed it to him just being tired and ready to go home as the vet staff did not offer any information about his stay. She then alerted me to his inability to balance himself like normal, walk like normal, he was jittery, and his eyes were glassy and almost cross eyed looking. Naturally I called the vet asking what was going on with my dog. My call was promptly answered and when questioned I was placed on hold for 10 minutes (to grab his chart is what I was told). Then another staff answered and I let them know I was on hold while staff was grabbing the chart. Another 5 minutes went by and finally a man answered the phone (I assume the vet) and asked what he could do for me. I asked him what was going on with my dog. He told me my dog was "a basket case" and "freaking out and bloodying his paws while in the kennel" so they gave him a medication to calm him down. He was very rude and short with me. I asked the vet why I was not notified of this prior to my dog receiving the sedative. I was told "I don't know what the girls did or didn't do. I was just alerted to his paws and he was a basket case so we did what we thought was best." When questioned about the quantity and duration of sedative received, I was told that he could not provide that information as it wasn't documented anywhere. I again asked why neither I nor my emergency contact were informed of what was going on. (This dog has been boarded at least 50 times in his 8 years of life and has NEVER had behavior issues). The vet again told me he didn't know and that the dog was "a basket case". The medication they gave my dog is acepromazine 25 mg. This medication is a TRANQUILIZER. They gave my dog this medication: 1. Without notifying me of issues prior to administration. 2. Without notifying me after/during administration. 3. Did not offer the information when the dog was picked up. 4. Were unable to tell me how much he received 5. Were unable to tell me when his last dose was. My dog (picked up 6 hours ago) is still lethargic, moving very slow, glassy eyed, and unable to move correctly. I have not been given information on how long this will last, side effects to watch for, or any monitoring he may need. I will NEVER look to these people for services again and I hope this happens to no one else. ***Update: It took until 9-10am the next day for him to come out of the sedation. Unacceptable.
