That being said, when I came here last week I was shocked by how expensive it was. $75 for a blazer and two dresses - you have gotta be kidding me?! It costs $4 for a regular load of washing, and $1.50 per 10mins in the dryer - useful knowledge for winter. The man who runs the Laundromat couldn't be nicer, and was very happy for me to leave the machine running and come back in half an hour when it was done. So, I popped across the road, got a great coffee and croissant from Pyrenees, and sat reading my book in rocket park for half an hour! So much nicer than being cooped up in a Laundromat watching a machine spin. There's parking on road right by the entrance, which is ideal when lugging laundry to and fro. Seriously, we are now reevaluating whether we should even be in a hurry to buy a new washing machine now....

The Rocket Park Laundromat is also incredibly reasonably priced. In the winter we take our laundry down already washed, and to get two loads dried and folded it only costs about $10! Well worth it! Tip: The Rocket Park Laundromat is open til around 6pm each night, so don't worry if you drop it off on your way to work, it will still be open for you to pick your garments up in the evening!

Pretty basic stuff, but they are reliable and friendly! The only thing is if you are having pant legs taken up then measure them first! Silly me didn't properly measure my trousers and hem them before I took them in, I estimated whilst in the store and not surprisingly they are still too long. Stupid me! NZ Drycleaners are located really close to Countdown in Lynmall, so they are easy to find and their is always a park close by.

I spotted this gem the other day when out walking the dogs when I noticed their sign which read "3 garments for $44." I needed to try this out for myself so a week later I returned, 3 garments in hand (1 x shirt, 2 x silk dresses short enough to claim as tops). Entering my items into the till, the lady informed me my total was $39! What do you mean?! Even cheaper than $44! I couldn't believe it... Four days later I picked up my dry cleaning and after a full inspection I can quite confidently say that this place is 'da bomb.' Each item was beautifully clean and steamed to perfection. I must also add that they ladies are super friendly and don't mind a natter! This could quite possibly be the best dry cleaning place in Auckland!
