After meeting with one event planner who tried to completely hijack and change our vision while overcharging us at the same time, we were concerned that we were not going to be able to have the decor we wanted. Enter Jennifer Saphier. I hired her only about a month before the wedding, yet she jumped into action like she had been a part of the process all along. She completely understood and executed our vision. She was extremely flexible and attentive to detail and VERY reasonably priced. I contacted them via email and George McCabe, the owner, called and emailed me back immediately. After 3 years of event planning in my professional life and contacting a few dozen vendors for our wedding, I am delighted to recommend George and his services to anybody who needs a bartender. George at North Shore Bartending was one of the easiest and most pleasant vendors I have ever dealt with. Our venue and ceremony had atypical timing, but George didn't sweat it and made sure that everything went off without a hitch. Their rates were really reasonable as well. The biggest challenge we threw at George was that our color scheme was purple and silver so we wanted a purple signature drink. Not only that, but we wanted the drink to feature a special lychee liqueur, Lichido. George worked for weeks to develop a drink that not only looked the right purple shade, but also tasted great. I pictured him like a mad scientist stirring up cocktails in his libation lab. He told me stories about how his wife and daughter were even privy to tasting his concoctions. That amazed me that he was working on our specialty drink even at home. It was all worth it. Our guests were raving about the final result all night. Even the men were slurping them up! I never got to personally thank George (yes, he even bartended at our wedding so I was glad to finally meet the man in person!) because I was dancing when he closed the bar for the night. Emails and phone calls would go unanswered. 2 months before the wedding he defended his lack of action by telling my wife "well it's a long time until your wedding." He would not provide invoices when asked. We then had my father in law take over dealing with them, who finally succeeded in securing a contract after additional prodding from our event coordinator. 3 days before the wedding George called my wife again and did not seem to remember any of the details of his conversations with my father in law. He responded to this by saying "I didn't write it down" and asked for his phone number again. As I said, the service on the day of was great. The management, however, cannot seem to keep track of anything and only added unnecessary headaches to our wedding planning. We had to use them due to a contract with our venue, but if not for this we would have dropped them long before the day. Avoid at all costs.

Our ceremony location was a walk from the parking lot, which was planned for beforehand with the company and led to an upcharge. We also paid 50% extra for same-day pickup, yet when the delivery person dropped off the chairs, he told us he refused to come back today and instead would return tomorrow to pick them up. Since our ceremony was at a state park, leaving property overnight is not permissible and could lead to a citation/penalty. After multiple pleas to get him to return to pickup the chairs, he threatened that he wouldn't return unless I and members of my group moved the 60 chairs from the ceremony location to the parking lot. This all occurred while we were preparing to start our reception. So, he wanted the groom and his family/friends to carry these chairs to the parking lot before the reception, despite having paid extra for this very service. When reaching out to the company about how poor the service was, not to mention how unprofessionally he spoke to our coordinator, they made an excuse about the time a gate closed (though our invoice clearly states the pickup time) and said the chairs were eventually picked up overnight, then refused to respond to another email. Don't risk having to deal with this on your wedding day. Avoid this company.

My husband and I used this company (AKA North shore event) to rent chairs for our wedding ceremony…read moreon 6/18/22. This company charged us an additional fee of $250 for delivery and collection of the chairs, $60 for labor to set up the chairs, and an additional $300 for the 400 meter distance from the staff parking lot to the drop off location. These payments were made and paid in full 7 days prior to the event. Do not use this company if you want to get the service you paid for. The delivery service (Kosmo Hayes who also is the president of the company) argued with me (the bride) and my wedding coordinator when they had to deliver the chairs the 400meter distance, at 12pm. They then went on to say at 1:30pm that they wont be back to pickup the chairs, and that my husband and his wedding party should PICK UP THE CHAIRS AND DELIVER THEM TO THE GATE!!! Obviously that's was not going to happen since we paid the invoice (including delivery/collection/labor/distance) in full 7 days prior and the invoice clearly stated the delivery and collection terms. However, when we reported this terrible experience to the company manager Nicole Hayes, she yelled at me over the phone and hung up on me! If you are planning your own rental from this company be aware that they have no respect for the services they provide and they will ask you (or your event guests) to perform the services that they were already paid for.

Admission with rental skates included was $10 per person with no time limit. The decor was reminiscent of the early 2000s (think: neon glow-in-the-dark murals on concrete walls) and they played pop hits ranging from the 2000s to modern day. It felt a bit like a 2000s-era after school program activity in the best possible way! Overall, we had a great time skating here for about an hour. The staff were good about keeping people moving in the same direction, and the rink had plenty of people, but not too many as to cause a constant danger of collisions. This would be a great experience for children and adults alike. Especially for the price, the hours of fun here can't be beat!
