I've bowled in a league here for three years and you'd think for the prices they charge for bowling that they could fix the ladies room. One stall doesn't lock, one sink doesn't work, one hand dryer doesn't work and the toilet paper roll holder is broken in two stalls. It is disgusting in there. This is a top-notch bowling alley. It's very modern, well kept, and spacious. Neon lights, good music, and quality equipment make this place a go-to for bowling. There is also a nice bar and club bar here for the night owls. The food and drinks are really good. I don't expect bowling alleys to have good food, but this spot has delicious food options. For example, the pizza is large and perfectly made. The steak and cheese spring rolls are AWESOME...perfectly crispy and flavorful. I've been running two leagues at Townline for 20 years. My advice to everyone is to avoid this place like the plague during summer. Can't remember the last time their AC actually worked although they'll always tell you it's set as high as possible. Last night it was 82 degrees inside Townline. Anthony, the owner has money to build a new bowling / entertainment facility at the Northshore Mall but he can't be bothered to spend the money to actually fix or replace the AC at Townline and provide a comfortable place for people to go. read more

Obviously parking is a hassle depending on time and day but when you get in, I don't wanna leave. The food is the classic fried American style pick up and eat food, haven't explored much else menu wise. There's always something happening beyond the lanes so keep an eye for themed entertainment. Came in at 10:50 wanted to play with my family before they left to florida and the young lady in the front said that they did there last call for games, when it says they close at 12. Got there a whole hour before they closed and couldn't play for that hour waste of time and they were very rude and on there phones not even paying attention to the customers. read more

The worst security. He was rude and told us to never come back just because one of our friends that was inside tried to come back in to get his wife since he didn't let us in because it was full. We understood but he was inside before and just wanted to get her to leave since the rest of us couldn't get in. SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL and literally told us to never come back. read more

I think Town Line may have just become our new go-to place for bowling in the North Shore area... Decent rates, great atmosphere, up-to-date technology, and plenty of lanes (seriously... so. many. lanes.) - we came away very pleasantly surprised by this place. I'd driven by this establishment a few times on Route 1, and always thought it looked kind of like a fancy strip club, or a pretentious nightclub - but, lo and behold, this place is actually super chill, while also being very modern and classy-looking. We were here on a Saturday night around 6 PM (after calling both Kings establishments in the area and finding that they both had around an hour wait). Looking back, I'm actually really glad that the busyness of Kings allowed us to discover this place! We came in here just as they were getting the Atomic Bowling underway, which is $30 per lane (for 4 people or under) per hour. We ended up getting in three full games within the hour (it was just two of us), so it was a solid value for our dollar. The place was about half-full when we got there, but did to fill up a bit by the time we left (but they have 48 lanes so... this is definitely a good place you go if you're trying to minimize the chance of a wait time!). The lanes themselves are snazzy looking, and you get to choose a fun theme for your scoring monitor (we chose the Halloween theme, despite it being June... I am a proud year-round Halloween enthusiast). The music was also A+, with a very well-curated selection of music videos (mostly 90s pop/rap songs - I highly approve). The only tiny critique I had of this place was that I couldn't seem to find any balls that were under 10 lbs - I ended up just giving up and going with a 10 lb once. Having said this, I'm sure the staff would have been happy to help me if I really wanted to insist on finding a lighter one (yeah, yeah, I'm weak, I know). We didn't try any of the food this time, but they seemed to have a good-sized menu of standard pub-style fare, and you can order drinks as well. The clientele here was a mix of families (they have an arcade here too!), individual bowlers, and groups of adults - this place really is for everyone and anyone! I came here for a few years and was pleased because because the bowling lanes were somewhat well maintained, and an improvement over other venues in Boston where lanes are not looked after and are not geared towards serious bowlers. In the past year unfortunately Town Line has turned into the same mess and terrible experience you find in Downtown Boston. Extremely overpriced, rude and spotty service, the works. Have a problem with your lanes? Good luck getting help. This place is here to make money off people looking to come, drink, and get loud and obnoxious on Friday/Saturday nights. If you are a serious bowler, go elsewhere. The ball return will ruin your ball if you dare bring it. You'll have people screaming left and right when you're in your approach and you'll wish you just stayed home instead of spending $30 an hour to bowl. read more

We called ahead of time on a *Tuesday* and wanted to make a reservation. They told us that it wasn't necessary to and that it's first come first serve. They failed to mention that there was a fundraiser and bowling league that night so when we got there, there were no lanes available until 9. read more

The staff is horrible , our lane was broken and wasn't Dispensing any more bowling balls or pins my boyfriend went up to ask what's going on and the girl at the front was giving major attitude and wouldn't give her name when asked, he asked her three times for it and she rudely responded "sam". They didn't offer us a diffrent lane for all the time that was wasted waiting for pins to come back up once each player played. Very disappointed. We are visiting family and came with foreign ids. We were not able to be served, the manager/ supervisor was half my age and would not accept my id. Requested passports as if we were in an airport. Very ridiculous I don't know how kids are managing these business now. read more

This is a review for the few times I went with a friend in 2019. The staff were knowledgeable. The restaurant and bartender next door made everything on menu exceptionally. The lettuce cups are my favorite. Lanes were self-explanatory, I wish we didn't have to share a main table, but in Covid-world they distance those out which is nice. Ample free parking. One half lack of star is to the gaming area. At least 2 games were not operable every time we went so it was a bit annoying. My other half lack of star is to the nighttime playlist. Lanes as far as the eye can see! The staff is always helpful, friendly, and it's even nice enough to set up the lanes league style so I can practice for real. A Bowling Alley! Ten pin, none of that New England small ball crap. That's for your grandma. This place has a bar, food, a gameroom and a club next door. They do Atomic glow in the dark bowling. I bowled a 200! Yes I was with kids and the bumpers were up but I never even hit the bumper except when I crossed the line and slipped on a very slippery lane and hit my head on it. I hadn't bowled in a while. This place is old, It took me a good half hour to find a ball because I have small hands and like a heavy ball but that's a tough request. (I'm big everywhere else for the record) So I had a pink ball, so what? It was fun although not too cheap but whatever. Atomic Bowling sounds awesome. Check out their web site. Malden Rocks! Friday and Saturday nights, Atomic Bowling: $30/hour for 4 people. Friday and Saturday nights, Pool: $20/hour. Normally bowling is like $5/game per person. Townline got a lot better since it's renovation and it's definitely a lot nicer and cleaner, it even has a decent arcade! On a weekend night this place is packed full of people. A struggle to get a pool table, but usually there's no wait for bowling. Arcade can be a little crowded too. Food here is a little expensive, not worth, unless you're desperate. There's your usual stuff from fries and burgers. Drinks are pretty expensive too but I wouldn't bother with those. read more

Town Line has few benefits, its cheaper, quieter and less obnoxious then the "big ball" bowling places in Boston proper. They serve booze ( well kinda, avoid the mix drinks because you're just paying a marked up price for soda). The lanes themselves seem OK enough, I wish they would upgrade the balls but otherwise i don't have any problem with the bowling alley. There's skeeball in the arcade, but nothing else that's note worthy. A fun bowling venue with a convenient location! This is my fav bowling place because it is not as expensive as others in Boston and the Boston area and it is a convenient location. I went on a Friday night in January and only waited in a short line. When we were leaving, however, the line was pretty lengthy so I suggest going earlier rather than later unless you don't mind waiting. Also, if you find a decently lighter weighted ball, guard it with your life unless you want to feel like a weakling trying to use the heavier balls. They could use a few more balls that are lighter in weight because most people seemed to want those and they were like gold there. Great bowling alley. It's a very nice, huge place with ample parking. Although their arcade needs to be updated with some better games, the actual bowling aspect of the place is great. They have lots and lots of lanes and the games are fairly priced. They are very well maintained and the staff is great. They also have a fully-stocked bar which is a plus although you will need a bracelet from the bowling counter in order to go and bring the drinks back to the lane. Aside from that they also serve food and have a very nice atmosphere. I felt comfortable there and will be returning there in the future for my bowling needs. read more

Town Slime. Such a consistent affair. I didn't even know it was Town Line Ten Pen Video & Billiards and I've been here about 20 times. Granted, that does make it appear fancier (a worthwhile-but-hopeless endeavor), but I thought I was reviewing the wrong place. If you want to bowl or whatever, and you can't bowl anywhere else, go here. Otherwise, go to that other place; I assure you it will be the superior choice. One thing that makes Town Line standout is how unequivocally consistent it is. The checklist is long, and they offer: A marginal amount of fun ...for $10. Shady people from all walks of life. Outdated lanes, warn-out pool tables and the vapid black screens of non-functioning arcade games. I'm fairly sure there is a money-back guarantee in play here for the aforesaid things. Ask the staff about it if they don't deliver. This place sucks so good, and with such dependability, I may want to make it my girlfriend. read more

Town Line Ten Pin is proof that you can't judge a book by it's cover. The outside has old school, concrete walls with paint. You sort of don't know what you are getting yourself into, but it's much nicer on the inside. I have been here three times: twice during "Liquid Lanes," and once on a Saturday afternoon. Liquid Lanes takes place Friday and Saturday nights. For four people or less, you rent a lane for $25 an hour instead of paying per person per game. I think it actually works out in your favor if you are a quick player. We manage to play 2 games in a little under an hour. There are only a few lanes reserved for those who cannot drink alcohol, so be prepared to wait in line if it's busy. We have never had a problem getting a lane to order alcohol at. The drink prices are OK. Beers are $5.00 or $5.50. You can order a bucket, but you don't get a discount for doing so like most places. They just put however many beers you order in a bucket with ice. They don't seem to have a lot of servers, so be prepared to wait a bit for drinks. Each lane has phones so you can call the bar and place an order. Last night when we called the bar to place a drink order, the only response we got was "We don't know where the server is," and then we hung up on. We did eventually get our beers, but it was another 15-20 minutes. Overall, this is a fun place to go in a group. It can get a little expensive depending on how many people you go with, but you'll still have a great time. read more

There's not too much option when it comes to bowling around the Boston area if you're looking for a place that has plenty of lanes. You can typically get a lane without waiting at Town Line, they have plenty of bowling balls, and the lanes are properly oiled and maintained. They're pretty fast to help with any lane issues, too. I think it's a little too big for the amount of waitress staff they have trying to serve the lanes, but you can primarily serve yourself if you don't want to deal with the hassle of having a server. read more

The Town Line Ten Pin made a distinct impression right off the bat. Having trekked from Newton (stopping for a beverage in Somerville) in search of the 'Atomic Bowling' i'd heard so much about, i had high expectations. As we waited for the rest of our party to show, a couple angry-looking teens came out, followed by a few excited packs of them, bearing a distinctive, 'we're going to watch a fight' look. Sure enough, we craned our necks to look outside, and saw the first two kids beating the ever-loving crap out of each other. Mere feet from my car's bumper, no less. Once we got inside, the guy behind the counter seemed to be relieved to be speaking to adults and we got a couple lanes pretty quickly. Atomic Bowling is about what you'd expect from the name. Black light, chasing rope lights, thumpin' bass, music videos (heavy on the Britney Spears that night). Good for revealing every speck of lint on your shirt. The balls are brightly colored and work well in the black light. They are totally committed to the possibilities of making bowling Atomic (what a world we live in! when i was a kid...), and pull it off pretty well; pretty much everything looks good in the dark. In case you couldn't tell, though, the clientele is largely teenage, with all the attendant rambunctiousness, but there are a few lanes where you can drink, and you're thus insulated. Except for the fact that a drunk guy in the lane next to me wandered into my lane confused. So maybe i'm being a little harsh on the kids. Beer and other stuff can be brought to you, which is good. The seating isn't great, but they have snazzy scoring screens with goofy animations. It's $25/lane/hour at night, which i totally couldn't have afforded as a kid, but is pretty cheap entertainment for a group as an adult. read more
