He did not seem to know what he was doing. Furthermore, when we were signing papers in finance, music was blaring that it was hard to hear the finance person. the music was not only loud, it was vulgar with lots of racism and swearing rap. needless to say. This dealership has dropped levels on professionalism, costumer courtesy and class. We will not be returning to this dealership. we have purchased more than twenty vehicles from this dealership when it was under different management and dealt with an amazing sales guy Kosta. with the new management, they moved him. Poor choice as the newly hired fresh out of high school pretty boys did not know their stuff like the previous sales people.

On pickup day, I was told the simple installation wasn't done and if I wanted it done it would now cost me 3 shop hours! This was incredibly frustrating as I had already booked a PPF appointment for the following two days and was preparing for a road trip that weekend. The salesman actually suggested using a loaner vehicle as a practical solution to stay on schedule but when management got involved, specifically Warren Evans (New Car Manager), things got shockingly unprofessional. He was dismissive, raised his voice, spoke to me in a rude and condescending tone, and showed no willingness to work toward a resolution. I decided at that point not to go through with the purchase with him being 100% of the reason why. The salesman and finance manager were actually nice and helpful and you could tell they were trying to make things right. However Warren needs to taught manners and basic customer service skills. I can't believe someone this emotionally unintelligent was allowed to become manager. This was by far the most unprofessional experience I've had at a dealership. I will never do business with Alberta Honda again.

I often say that everyone makes mistakes, but you can truly judge character by how one handles them. I don't really know what to say other than I appreciate her efforts. If you have had a negative experience here, I encourage you to reach out to Krysta, there is no doubt she will do whatever she can to try to fix it. 1 STAR -- BUYERS FROM OUT OF TOWN, READ THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE THE DRIVE…read more I live approximately five hours from River City Hyundai in Edmonton, so I made it extremely clear from the beginning that I could not simply "come down and see what happens." I was shopping for a 2026 Santa Fe Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid AWD and was quoted a very competitive price of $56,398. I was initially told approximately $18,000 for my trade, and the paperwork I was subsequently given showed a $16,660 trade allowance, subject to inspection. Because I live five hours away, I specifically discussed the trade and the condition of my vehicle before making the trip. I made it clear that I would not the deal if the payment increased significantly. I was reassured that as long as my vehicle was in good condition, there should be no problem. This wasn't some mystery vehicle they knew nothing about. It is a Hyundai, and I disclosed the mileage. My local Hyundai dealership had already physically inspected it and offered $15,500. Based on River City Hyundai's representations and paperwork, we proceeded. I obtained insurance on the new vehicle, my husband took time off work, we spent the money on fuel and drove five hours to Edmonton. We arrived. The new Santa Fe was exactly the vehicle represented to me. Then they inspected my trade. Suddenly my vehicle was supposedly worth only: $11,000. Not $18,000. Not the $16,660 shown on the paperwork. $11,000. That's a $5,660 reduction from the written trade allowance after we drove five hours to get there. And somehow another Hyundai dealership that had actually inspected the exact same vehicle in person could offer $15,500. I cannot speak to anyone else's experience or what River City Hyundai intended. I can only tell you exactly what happened to us. But here's my opinion: a great deal isn't a great deal if the numbers don't survive the customer's arrival at the dealership. I had specifically explained why I needed accurate numbers BEFORE making a ten-hour round trip. They knew how far away we lived. They knew the mileage. They knew I couldn't afford substantially higher payments. They reassured me enough that I insured the new vehicle and made the trip. If they genuinely believed my trade could potentially drop by more than $5,600 after inspection, I would have expected that risk to be made crystal clear before a customer drove five hours. Instead, we arrived after investing our time and money and were presented with a completely different financial reality. Maybe they expected that after driving five hours, paying for insurance, burning the gas and taking time off work, we'd feel too invested to walk away. They underestimated us. We walked. I would rather drive five hours home empty-handed than spend years making payments on a deal I told them from the beginning I wanted in writing which they did but changed it anyway! River City Hyundai didn't lose this sale because I changed my mind about the vehicle. I loved the vehicle. They lost the sale because the numbers I travelled five hours for weren't the numbers waiting for me when I arrived. My advice to anyone travelling from outside Edmonton: do not make the trip based on preliminary trade numbers. Get the trade value as firmly documented as possible, ask exactly what could cause it to change after inspection, and be completely prepared to walk away. I did. Five hours there. Five hours home. Expensive lesson learned. One star.

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Be Careful With the Advertised Deals…read more I normally don't write negative reviews, but my experience with Go Nissan North was extremely disappointing and frustrating. On August 8 around 9:30 PM, I submitted an inquiry for a red Nissan Rogue demo listed at $30,900 with 0% financing for 60 months. Around 9:45 PM, a salesperson named Christine called me. Yes, it was late, but I answered and specifically confirmed the $30,900 price and 0% financing for 60 months before agreeing to come in. An appointment was booked for 2 PM on August 9. My wife and I drove approximately 30 minutes to the dealership based on the information that had been confirmed with me over the phone. Once we arrived, suddenly I was told that the vehicle was considered used and could not qualify for 0% financing. Seriously? This was the exact financing offer I had specifically confirmed before making the trip. If the salesperson didn't know whether the vehicle qualified, that should have been checked before calling me, confirming the offer, and booking an appointment. I told him directly that I felt we had been lured into the dealership. Had I been told the truth beforehand, we would not have wasted our time driving there. Then the story changed again. After speaking with the manager, I was offered a new 2026 Nissan Rogue at approximately $32,500, 0% financing for 60 months and $0 down. We negotiated the deal and agreed to 5 years of free oil changes and one detailing per year for 5 years. We agreed to move forward. Then came the next problem -- the color. We wanted GRAY. I was told they didn't have the gray vehicle available at the dealership. This was surprising because their own website showed the gray color as available. I still agreed to proceed and told them to bring one from another dealership. The salesperson went back to the manager and came back with another surprise: $250 to bring the vehicle from another dealership + $250 because we wanted a color other than black = $500 additional. I agreed to pay the $500 because we specifically wanted gray. The salesperson then told us he had contacted nearby dealerships and would have an answer the next day because it was already around 4 PM on Sunday. He specifically told me: "I will call you first thing tomorrow." Before we left, he again tried to convince us to take the black vehicle because it was "a good deal." No. We had already made it clear that we wanted gray. On August 10, I called around 12 PM because I had not heard anything. I was told he had just started work and was talking to the manager and would call me within an hour. Four hours passed. No call. I called again. I was told he was still talking to the manager and would call me back. At this point, this is beyond frustrating. We went to this dealership because of a red Rogue advertised at $30,900 with 0% financing for 60 months. Instead, we experienced: Financing terms that changed after we arrived A 30-minute drive based on information that apparently wasn't verified Multiple changes to the proposed deal An unexpected $500 charge for the color/vehicle transfer A vehicle supposedly unavailable despite the website showing availability Pressure to accept a color we specifically said we didn't want Promised callbacks that never happened Hours of waiting for basic answers Extremely poor communication From a customer's perspective, this felt very much like a bait-and-switch experience: advertise an attractive deal, get the customer into the dealership, and then change the terms once they're there. What makes it worse is that I confirmed the original price and financing over the phone before coming in. A dealership should respect customers' time and provide accurate information upfront. If a vehicle doesn't qualify for advertised financing, check that before inviting customers to drive 30 minutes to the dealership. If the gray vehicle isn't available, say so before negotiating and making a deal. And if you promise to call a customer back, actually call them back. I am extremely disappointed with how this entire situation has been handled. This isn't how I expected to be treated when purchasing a new vehicle. Go Nissan North -- I hope management takes this seriously and reviews exactly how this customer was handled.
