Mandeep and Stephany were really good and helped me get into the car I was looking for, moonroof, heated seats, ect. However, the car I test drove and the car I received didn't have the same regular features. The car I test drove had power seating but the car I bought had manual adjusted seats. I wasn't told the car I bought had manual seating until after I had purchased it and was disappointed that I spent all that money for manual seats, when the rest of the car had all these upgraded features. There was a little miscommunication when it came time to pick up my vehicle, the salesmen didn't know anything about the car starter, and I found a dirty and wrong size trunk cover in the back of my new car. If I didn't go through it, I would have driven away with dirty, mismatch accessories. However, I spoke with Kyle (manager) and he compensated me for my troubles with free gas and a car wash. However, when I got my car back it was covered with circular scratches that come from an automated car wash. I also purchased a protection spray for my car, but it doesn't seem like its protecting from anything! I have scratches on my car and rust underneath.2/10 would not recommend.

After looking…read moreonline and test driving others, I found a used Kia Soul EX on sale at Northside Mitsubishi. Our sales rep was Jun and he was very pleasant to deal with. We were not pressured into buying any additional warranty, upgrades, etc, so we bought it in cash for asking price + GST. After taking the new vehicle to my regular mechanic, he alerted us to an engine ticking noise that was alarming and I should have it checked out. I contacted the used vehicle manager Kyle who asked us to bring it in and have it looked at. He agreed to have it sent to their sister store (Sherwood Kia) to be diagnosed and tested for power train warranty (Kia is 100,000km). He also provided us with a loaner vehicle to use while our Kia was in service, which was offered before I had asked for it. The service manager Chase liaised between Sherwood Kia and myself to keep me updated of the claim into Kia Canada for engine warranty. They had my Kia for a total of 5 weeks during which I put about 1000km on the loaner vehicles during that time. Kia Canada ended up covering a new engine under warranty, which was completed by the sister shop, and I didn't have to pay for anything. They even reinstalled the block heater my regular mechanic had installed for us after purchase. 4/5 stars because Northside Mitsubishi took responsibility for the engine concerns, I wish it hadn't been an issue I had to deal with originally, but they handled it very professionally.

A credit union seemed like the sensible choice. This location and the one on 107th Ave are closest to our house. I usually go to this one because the parking lot is bigger. My husband prefers the 107th Ave location. When I get a load of change, I like to deposit it in savings when I get a minute. It's an easy way to try to build up a little backup fund. There is one woman here who seems to grumble whenever I do it. Sorry, I thought that was part of the cashier's job...counting money. I just have not gotten a warm and fuzzy feeling from Servus, and my main complaint is their security method. While I'm glad that someone is attempting to alert us of fraud, I'M still the one getting screwed, but it's by them and not the criminals. When you use your debit card at an establishment that has had a fraud alert in the past, or there has been questionable activity there, they de-activate your card and then inform you that this has happened. Later. Unfortunately, in my case, both times they've done it, I didn't get the phone call from them until a day or two AFTER I'd tried using my card for something and had no other method of payment, which is COMPLETELY embarrassing when you're out and there's a line behind you. Everyone assumes you're overdrawn. The first time this happened to me wasn't as much a big deal, but when I went in to find out what was going on, they couldn't tell me WHICH questionable business I'd been to. THAT made me angry. Why is it such a secret? Just tell me so I can avoid the place in the future or use cash there. The second time, I had bought a book that very morning at the Goodwill location in the West End and the card worked fine. When I got down to the Bulk Barn down in the South Common an hour or so later, the card would not work. I had $200 worth of groceries in my cart, and had to ask the cashier to please set them aside so I could come back for them. I then had to go to the nearest Servus I could find (the one on 99th Street), get a new card issued, and then drive all the way back down to the South Common. I was PISSED. So it was obvious that Servus has found something weird with the West End Goodwill. Not sure if there have been skimming incidents there or what. But now I know if I go in there I need to have cash with me. Yesterday, I needed to get some money for parking at the ATM at this location, and the ATM was out of service, so I had to go down to 104th Ave to the ATB for $. I'm getting more and more disillusioned with Servus as time goes on.

I had to get my Iphone fixed at the Ipod Repair Centre, which is next door to Loan Star. It didn't look too sketchy from the front as I walked by, so I decided to just stop in. The sign outside said "Edmontons' Favorite Pawnshop", and it didn't take me long to figure out why!! the store was very well laid out, with sections for tools, guitars, electronics, and what looked like 1000 dvds' and bluray movies. Everything in this place was clean and well displayed. I was greeted as I walked in, but then left alone for a few minutes as I gawked at the 30+ guitars they had well placed on the wall. Then i had a conversation with one of the owners, who seemed to know as much about the guitars as the manufacturers did. He told me I was more than welcome to grab a guitar off the wall and plug it into one the many amps they had plugged in and give it a go!! Well, in the end I didn't end up buying a guitar, but did walk out with a surprise gift for my wife. I hope she likes the diamond earrings I got her for $200.00. They even came with an appraisal from the same guy I get all her jewellery appraised from. The owner said they get about 50 or 60 pairs made up every year due to the demand for them. I'm still not a big fan of pawnshops, but I am now a HUGE fan of Loan Star!!! These guys know their business, that's for sure!!
