I've seen other chiropractic clinicians here in Anchorage and the lower 48 and I can tell you Dr. Mike is among the best. He is very knowledgeable and passionate in what he does. Had my first visit yesterday. From the time I walked in the door until the time I left I felt right at home. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. Dr Mike is amazing and very friendly. He took the time to explain everything to me and listened to everything I had to say. If you are looking for a professional environment along with friendly staff and yes that includes the dog that will make sure you are met as soon as you come in, this is the place for you. Skeptical? I was too. I walked around with unexplained pain for weeks, pain that stayed at a 7 while taking the max ibuprofen and Tylenol for over a week. I went to the ER multiple times because my back pain was making it hard to breathe and I got no answers. Finally because I had no other options and nothing to lose I came here. My only regret is not coming sooner. This practice has a great environment, welcoming front desk and the chiropractor was amazing. He knew his stuff, but was still able to treat me like a human instead of a patient. To say I feel better after going there would be an understatement! This is the same Erica as a previous review. I keep getting bills from this business, so I will add more information, as the review that I left before was very nice. Let me be clear, this was the worst chiropractic experience of my life. Days after the "treatment," I was left with significant, persistent headaches, and I could hardly stand because my low back was so bad (imagine this, at 9 months pregnant). I was scared to try another chiropractor, though. I did eventually find another, who was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled- Dr. Treeka Sullivan - and after one adjustment from her all of my pain was gone. The $20 I paid up front was too much. For every bill he sends, I will add more details as to how horrible this experience actually was. read more

We made an appointment with Dr. Michaud a week and a half in advance. We drove over 100 miles to his office (from Talkeetna), and met the friendly receptionist. We filled out tons of paperwork, and then waited about 10 minutes for the doctor. Instead of Dr. Michaud, it was his "stand-in". When I expressed concern, the receptionist said Dr. Michaud was in Hoonah and would one back next week. The receptionist asked if we were told of the change and of course I said we were not. The last minute replacement of the doctor, (who we had researched and hoped to establish a relationship), was not ethical. We will not be back. read more

In my first appointment, Dr. Mike had to adjust me two times for the pain in my left hip radiating down my leg and my right shoulder radiating down my arm. I was a mess. I expected him to say, " I need to see you three days a week for the next seven weeks." Instead, Dr. Mike had Charlee schedule me a week out with the understanding if my hip or shoulder started to spasm, call the office immediately for an appointment. That is Integrity. Dr.Mike is definitely the BEST chiropractor I've ever been to!! I was having Severe sciatica for months and in one adjustment, it was completely fixed!! Just have to keep up with it!! I'm giving two stars because I do feel looser and corrected, though sore, and the receptionist Chaz was so sweet, also Dr. Mike was very thorough... I can't include all I want to here, but I'll say this: I know what a good chiropractor is- my father and grandfather were great chiropractors, I've been to- as well as worked for - at least 14 chiropractors over the years, had some terrible, and some amazing. A good chiro can single out specific vertebrae to restore movement, and it does not need to be painful. The treatment I recieved today was mostly general, very painful (due to timing, not my condition)and very, very rough. I've never felt anything like it. I left feeling violated for myself and my unborn child, and I can't shake the feeling, which is why I feel compelled to leave a review. I was interrupted while discussing my issues, and my body was not listened to, either. I requested a different technique and was denied - also a first for me (pregnant women CAN be adjusted side lying - my two regular chiros do it every visit). Judging by some of his statements, I think he thought I was ignorant. If you really enjoy an ass kicking, this is the place for you. Some people swear by him, which is why I gave him a try. I hate having to write reviews like this, but one should know this Doc isn't for everyone. read more
