I hate to write a negative review because Dr Khalili is amazing and could not recommend any other…read moreneurology doctor. Unfortunately, his front desk staff have led me to write this review. The office staff are very rude, don't answer phones often and never return voicemails. I am on a few medications that require prior authorization every couple of months; however, I've gone weeks at a time without being medicated because they won't answer the phone or answer my voicemail or the pharmacist's request for a pre authorization for my refills. I've gone in person to make my requests and they assure me they'll do it but a week later when I follow up, I call my insurance and they say they haven't received anything. I call the office back and on a rare occasion, someone answered and she laughed and said, "I don't know what to tell you", we did what you asked. I then tell them I've already communicated with my insurance and have confirmed they didn't and then they tell me they'll do it "right now". Well here I am, third week unmedicated AGAIN because of them. I'd pay out of pocket if I could but my medication is thousands of dollars. It is because of this office staff, I have started the process in finding a new neurologist. I told myself Dr Khalili was worth putting up with the office staff but at this point, I can't keep putting my health at risk by continuing to be a victim of their neglect.

This is my second review after another surgery with him. My confidence in his skill speaks volumes. This time, I interviewed the staff, pre-op nurses, phlebotomist, surgical technicians, and the anesthesiologist occupying Mercy Hospital in Folsom. I asked each one, of all the surgeons they have encountered, which one would they would want operating on them. It was unanimous - Dr. Travis Loidolt. The nurses in the surgical unit during my recovery also attested that they have never seen a post-op patient recover so quickly. They also said they would choose Dr. Loidolt in a heartbeat as their patients who underwent his surgery recovered the best. These are truly amazing testaments coming from those who both work alongside Dr.Loidolt and those who witness his aftercare. With many qualified surgeons to choose from, Dr. Travis Loidolt stands far above the others. I'm so grateful for his care, communication, compassion, and expertise.

My husband had spine surgery here and this was 1000% better than going to Roseville Sutter surgery center with all their parking issues! The staff in pre op are very friendly and know what they are doing. 5 stars for that. My issue is their policy of allowing sick employees to work with and around patients including in the operating room. Patients who are sick, fever, coughing, are not allowed in and they would require the sick patient to reschedule. I was very surprised when the nurse who took me back to OR was quite sick. She had a very bad cough and such bad bronchitis, I had difficulty understanding what she was saying. I asked her if she should go home or to her own Doctor, considering how badly she appeared to feel. She said no she couldn't go anywhere because she had to be here at work. I had spent the last few weeks doing everything that I could to avoid getting sick, because I would have had to reschedule my surgery. Plus no one wants to be sick while recovering from surgery! I didn't think much about it until I began coughing, sneezing and feeling sick two or three days after my surgery. This is making my recovery more difficult than it needed to be. I believe that all the staff, including the doctors and nurses, should have the same screening process as the patients! You should not have to worry about getting sick from someone in the operating room!

He said I needed to do the dry eye drops they told me on my previous visit. However, no information was ever given to me about dry eye. Before I could say anything, he flew out of the room. I told his technician I wanted to see him again because I wanted to discuss my concerns. She left and told him and then returned to say he told her my problem probably was not related to dry eye and I needed consultation with another my general practitioner. This doctor does not take time with his patients to fully understand their concerns. He gives little to no information about his evaluation of your health. I left with many questions unanswered about the condition of my eyes. I wish I could give him zero stars.
