I am Hispanic and one of my coworkers was also Hispanic. When the children were doing a quiet activity and we would interact with each other we would speak Spanish, In private not to the kids unless a Hispanic kid spoke to us in Spanish and we had a few, well the new director of this place made it forbidden for me to speak Spanish, because she did t understand what I was saying to my coworker.. and on my down time I was caught speaking Spanish and she legit wrote me up for speaking Spanish!!!! I Of course excused myself and quit but umm do you really want to take your kids to a daycare where the director is so much of a tyrant that she forbids her employees to speak their native language when speaking with one another? But it's okay to speak Spanish when it's of convenience you!? Nope!!

The worst admitted student day I have seen after visiting many schools. A very nice campus yet the…read moreevent was severely disorganized and impersonal. Arrival and check in right beside a very loud band so you cannot hear the person checking you in and they cannot hear you. From 9:30-10:45 you have an option of taking a housing tour. The housing tour is about 30 or so people with one guide who takes you to one dorm room and tells you "all the wood things come with the room". No explaining which dorms are freshman or if there are any suites or how long students are guaranteed housing or any other information. We then wait for the president to speak for the next 45 min as there are no other events or tours scheduled yet. Everyone is piled into a foyer waiting. Eventually the doors are opened (30 min later than told) and we are guided into a room with tables representing various student activities When we talked to the person at the Greek life table they knew nothing about Greek like because the Greek life person didn't show...so they were filling in. Breakfast items were also offered during this time (it's 11am) but it's still a nice gesture. There are no chairs for anyone to sit and a few standing tables yet not nearly enough for the volume of students. The president gives a vague speech which is more like "hi" and lacks substance that tells students anything about the school. Then there is a prize give away for a few students. While waiting for a housing tour I asked if there were campus tours. A student working for admissions (we did not see any admissions counselors only students) said well if you come back I can get someone to give you one. There were no campus tours!? What? We went back as he had told us to do and he was not there. Walking around the campus yourself is not the same as getting information about the campus or hearing the student perspective. Honestly the whole event was run in this rote impersonal fashion. Next stop was the tables set up for departments. No faculty present at the major we wanted to talk to. The student present told us they never had to take a single math course and they are a current senior...??? That doesn't seem to be true. What weren't faculty present to talk to incoming students and welcome them or answer questions? Last stop as we guided ourselves through campus was a carnival. They brought in a very cute camel and a goal as well as a guy with a big bubble wand. Comments I heard were "if this is how they run their event then what would it be like to go to school here!?" "I can't go here", "this is chaos" "they put time into getting a camel but what about telling us about the education they offer or living here". It was chaos. And in truth we left feeling like it's a nice looking school that must have things to offer but we will never know because of how poorly they represented themselves.

I was forced to pick a random suite with people I don't even know let alone trust around my medication. As an animated arts major who loves to do fine arts in their free time, I could use a little more space AND QUIET to focus on my work since animations take a hell of o long time to finish especially if you want them to be good. Emailed housing, they gave me a bs answer and got nowhere. Now I have to search the campus for wherever the housing office is just to speak to them in person since email goes nowhere. ------ For some extra complaints: Don't trust the rice unless you like it as chewy as sour patch kids. The chicken has so much fat pieces and all that left on it when cut that it's practically all your eating. Sausage with a nice helping of ground up bones left in. The second floor of the south dining hall doesn't even have clean lettuce of any kind, I tried some with my taco and it tasted rubbery and dirty (but apparently downstairs they actually wash the lettuce). According to some people I've talked to, old main is full of black mold and asbestos and lytle hall has high radiation. At least from my experience, the dorms aren't safe from black mold finding a nice home all over your shower. They seem to lie a bit on the tours and I honestly don't like this school as much as I used to. Maybe I should've gone to SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) or RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) since those schools are actually respectable.

This is one of the most beautiful college campuses in the United States of America. For weddings, the chapel is breathtaking and there are dozens of spots on campus at which a group could take nice pictures. While the hillside setting is the envy of hundreds of colleges, it's been said that some of the freshman residence halls are at the highest elevation east of the Mississippi River. Daily journeys involve awkward undulating paths and hundreds of stairs (none with consistent spacing), and "seeing campus" is not a feasible quest for a huge portion for the median out-of-shape American. Regarding the food, dining on campus was controlled by Sodexo, the company that provides food to prisons. Pricing was extortionate and quality was awful. I recall a constant rotation of "breakfast for dinner" where the morning's food was re-heated for dinner, and a mad rush for basic foods like pizza when the main protein offering would be disgusting salisbury steak. I believe this terrible marriage began in 2010 or so, as when I started at Lehigh in 2012, older students reminisced on a slightly-better food scene that included an on-campus Chik-fil-A. There was an elevated tier of (Sodexo branded) dining options in the building where the Chik-fil-A used to be, which all charged a premium in "meal swipes" (of which students maybe received 250 per semester) and prepared passable ready-made dishes formed out of frozen, preservative-laden ingredients. You would be hard pressed to find an alumnus whose underclassman experience wasn't affected by how bad the food was. I was lucky to meet people at Lehigh who were similar to me in terms of their outspokenness, and one guy submitted a detailed complaint and suggestion sheet to Sodexo "management." They sat down with him and thanked him and then proceeded to do nothing. The extra meal budget I had to beg my parents for to eat mid campus-edge food (The Goose and Johnny's Bagels) was probably $400/mo, which really hurt back then. The school has some things going for it, just not the food.

It's a consistent thing and they don't have their act together. Their classes are not built for working students like they claim. Go somewhere with experience like Drexel, Lehigh or Moravian.
