Northeastern Window and Door does not seem to want my business. I have been trying for 3 weeks to get a windows replacement quote. They have taken my name and phone number at least 6 times over the last 3 weeks. They called me to come out, never showed. As I am writing this review, they called back and said Wednesday between 9 and 11am...we will see. History is not on the side of Northeastern Window and Door. read more

I'm a retired carpenter, I have been probably to a hundred hardware store/lumberyards. I love this place, great selection, prices are comparable to a big box store. I wish I knew their name, but the lumberyard employees hustle. I have had zero issues with customer service. read more

I bought 51 bundles of shingles from Northeastern Window and Door through a local roofer. As it turns out we only needed 46, we had 5 bundles left over. Todd one of the managers at Northeastern refused to let me return them for credit. He said I would have to return them to the roofer, the roofer would have to take them in, they would then give credit to the roofer, then the roofer would have to pay me. I paid for 51 bundles in my roofing quote, there is no good reason why I should not have been able to return them and get a credit on my credit card. My roofer agreed that the shingles were mine to do as I pleased; keep or return. The bottom line is that Northeastern simply does not want to give me a refund - I would not recommend Northeastern for any purchases - roofing or otherwise; unscrupulous.... read more

Nice on the smaller side home improvement/hardware store located on US23 in Harrisville. This store has a lot going on under one roof to include small greenhouse with plants/flowers, yard landscaping supplies, relatively large equipment rental area, hardware, tools, plumbing, doors, windows, siding, roofing, contractor services, and the list goes on..... Over the years I have purchased numerous products from this store and rented multiple equipment. Some of the bigger projects done at my house were the fabrication of large custom trapezoid windows with install and the purchase and installation of a new front entry door. Both of these experiences were top notch from the helpfulness and friendliness of the store personnel in helping select/order the products to the proffesionlism of their install contractors. I cannot say enough good things about these two experiences. From a cost perspective the prices are a little higher than their big city big chain counterparts with their bulk buying leverage but their contractor services are better and definitely much less expensive than the metro Detroit price gouging contractors. Overall, if you have a home project to work on in the Oscoda/harrisville area this is definitely a business you should consider for the reasons stated and the convenience of them being local. We are remodeling our home and have used Northeastern in 2 different ways; buying supplies and hired them to install windows. We were so happy to always get a return phone call, appointments were kept and employees are always so helpful, friendly and polite from the workers in the store, the warehouse employees and installers. This is a great and dependable hardware store with a broad selection of products and very helpful staff. They have almost everything a Home Depot would have with a lot more relaxed experience and friendly people. They have Windows, Doors, Plants, Tools, Gardening supplies, Home improvement ... Cleaning supplies...propane. Almost everything you could need up here. They have contractor business cards available also. I don't understand the 3 star rating at all. I love this store and have yet to find a bad employee. Everyone is helpful and if you need something that the sales person is not familiar with they put you with someone that is more knowledgeable. Prices are within a reasonable margin of the box stores and unlike the box stores u will always find someone to load your truck. read more

Good selection of lumber but customer service gives it 2 stars for impatience and indifference.

Thier products are the same you can get just about anywhere else, the difference is they are close if you live near town. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Do NOT deal with Fred! I was swore at, lied to, and treated like garbage. He is the sole reason I will never order anything from there again. If you choose to go -- good luck! read more

Have to agreed with Jennifer W. Customer service is terrible. I purchased an 8 foot slider only to have defective glass....took two months for replacement, and then the mutton bars in replacement were incorrect.....it's been another two months and I was told today that it's not their problem, I need to contact the manufacturer directly. Talk about passing the buck. Won't be doing business with them again. read more

I just want everyone to know I do not know any of the employees at northeastern window and door and I only tell the truth about my experience with them. We are from down state and were so happy to see how helpful and kind these people were,it was very refreshing! DON'T DO IT! They came to my house three times different times to get the sale. It is a scam, don't use this company. After, we agree on a deal and signed contracts three weeks later they wanted more money to do they job. They are unprofessional and a bunch of crooks. I cancelled my order. Don't DO IT! read more
