A-Ok to the locals - to anyone else it's pretty sucky. But as a kid it was one of our "meeting parks" and really close to home. I even had friends that lived across the road, all three adjoining roads in fact.
The council have changed the entire playground itself, including the flooring and edging, with a new more colourful one but that's all they've done in about 25 years. There is a little shade up the other end by the side. It never really bothered us as kids but then often we weren't in one place too long and we all lived closeby.
I remember I would walk past here on my way home from school sometimes and just stop and lay down on the grass and make pictures out of the clouds in the sky. I guess it's probably only a 2 star playground, as Amanda said, but I had to give an extra star as it is extra specila to me due to location and childhood memories. read more
