My only concern is its on a lake so the little kids need constant supervision as the playground is missing a gate, but the plus of this is the duckies, swans and other native birds. Close at hand yet out of the fenced playground is a table/chair area (shaded by trees), a BBQ and a drink fountain. There are also electronic toilets not too far away. What this area is lacking is some shade. My goodness I felt hot and uncomfortable just looking at the place. I would recommend adults to check the equipment before little ones get their hands onto equipment that is too hot. I even had friends that lived across the road, all three adjoining roads in fact. The council have changed the entire playground itself, including the flooring and edging, with a new more colourful one but that's all they've done in about 25 years. There is a little shade up the other end by the side. It never really bothered us as kids but then often we weren't in one place too long and we all lived closeby. I remember I would walk past here on my way home from school sometimes and just stop and lay down on the grass and make pictures out of the clouds in the sky. I guess it's probably only a 2 star playground, as Amanda said, but I had to give an extra star as it is extra specila to me due to location and childhood memories.

Gloria Jeans and The Coffee Club are right in front of it. The idea of this playground is for the adults to take a break from their shopping, enjoy a cup of coffee and let their kids play in a safe environment. Whenever I walk past I notice that it's always full of kids, and they're always having a blast! It's a great playground in a great location. Everyone needs a break sometimes.

There isn't a great deal here and what IS here is dated (as is the case with many City of West Torrens playgrounds). In saying that, there's slightly more to do here than there is on a two star playground. This is not a playground for those who are learning to walk or to climb. The only way to get onto the playground equipment is by climbing; chains, ladders, curved ladders etc so if your child is more confident with solid stairs, this isn't the playground for them. There are of course swings and bouncy things if they want something to do while older children are having a play. I couldn't get a photo if the swings because there were children playing on them. I guess that says something, right? The play equipment itself isn't anything to get too excited over. There's a slide (metal) and a bridge as well as some climbing-over thingys, some bouncy things and swings. Despite my needs, there's no way I could give this playground two stars when there were children laughing and having fun as well as some shade and drinking fountain.
