She has been cutting my hair for many years now and I always leave the salon feeling way better than I did when I came in and always rocking a refreshed new look. It's rare to find a stylist that truly listens and understands your hair goals, and I found that in Brittany she is willing to tackle any challenge I throw at her while provide expert advice-I know she would never let me get a cut or color that she doesn't think will look good or work for me. Full disclosure, I drive from Anchorage to get my hair done at Vibe Styling Salon & Day Spa by Becky and have referred at least 5 people to here who now drive from Anchorage to Eagle River regularly just to see Becky at the Vibe. Becky can always be counted on to know what the current trend is and know how to do it just as the same as you see in the magazine. She will perform whatever you would like; however, as every good stylist should her goal is to make sure that you leave looking like your best to you. Becky is a true artist when it comes to hair. I walk in and I just completely can trust her to make me beautiful like a unicorn and feel like a complete Queen when I walk out of the vibe. I look forward to every appointment that I have with her, and always know that I'm going to come out looking great. At this point, she always has a plan for where what direction we're are going to go with my hair. I have seen her perfect the blended natural look, and I have seen her perform magic unicorn rainbow books on others. The other stylists at the fiber are super friendly and get to know each customer. I have also seen unique styles and wonderful color come from each individual stylist. I have brought my boyfriend here to see the new barber that has set up a unique corner to do straight shave and unique men's haircuts. The barber has worked really hard and is a retired veteran and this is his second career after getting out of the military. The salon has a special place in the community of Eagle River and participates in many community events around Christmas time, and can always be counted on having beautiful decoration. As such there's always coffee, tea, and, cookies available during your appointment. read more

Went today for my first haircut here. Brittany was fantastic. There was a cute little girl also getting her haircut and so it looks like they are very good with children as well. Would recommend. The space itself was nice and open the staff was friendly, and there are other services offered here that I would like to try out. read more

Absolutely horrible service by Stephanie Moses at Vibe Styling Salon & Day Spa. I scheduled the service online, confirmed the appointment, and showed up. However, Stephanie did not. She claimed she didn't have my number and even tried to look me up on Facebook. When she didn't "find" me, she just decided to not show up for the appointment. Oh and I was texted multiple times to confirm the appointment, so it's complete crap to say you don't have my number. I will say I felt bad for her coworker, who was put in an awkward situation because of Stephanie's horrible customer service. Luckily I wasn't hateful to her when Stephanie asked her to reschedule me. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this shop. read more

Great place! Don't let the outside or location fool you. When you enter the salon, it's clean, modern, and the staff is outstandingly kind... save for the receptionist, who seems to be annoyed with herself for working there. I had a fantastic young lady named Tiffany wax my brows, then wash, cut, and style my considerably long hair. She was charming, listened to what I want, made suggestions, and when she was done, showed me the details of how she'd cut it to be sure it was satisfactory. It certainly was! And all for $35 for hair, and $15 for the brows. C'moooooooon, you cannot beat that price for that kind of treatment. I also had a spa pedicure scheduled, but if I may say so, skip having your nails done. The chair they put me was short, old, and wobbly. You put your feet in this lovely bowl with beautiful marbles, but there's nothing to keep the water warm. The girl that took me was sooooo very nice, but was sweating profusely. She didn't CLIP my toenails because she couldn't find the clippers (???) so she used a cuticle cutter to trim them down, then filed them endlessly. EACH OF THEM. My God. The other foot was freezing in the now chilly water. I also told her I wanted a french pedicure, and a flash of concern crossed her face but she was very positive after that. Turns out, she could barely do it. My white lines are misshapen, though not totally obviously. She made a little boo boo on one big toe, and instead of starting again, she simply went over it again and again with white polish. Ummm, now it's kinda chunky in that area. Honestly, if I wasn't pregnant, and literally suffering from cold feet, I would've had her do it over again, but I just wanted out. I skipped the "spa" part and just had her wrap it up. The stool where you put your feet was soooo short in relation to the chair, that someone tall like me (5'10") had to rest my calf on it. It HURT. And you couldn't extend it anymore, because it was all one attachment. It was ridiculous. And the stupid stool was loose! I kept sliding off of it. No wonder the poor girl was sweating so badly! What a mess. Go get your hair did, your stuff waxed, and skip the nails. You'll be glad you did on ALL counts! read more

Disclaimer: I have never received a hair service here-only spa treatments. This place should NOT be called a "spa". I went in for a massage and pedi/mani with a girlfriend. My friend was hauled away for her massage and I did not see her until we were ALL done. SO much for a fun girls day. The massage room is a room right outside the hair salon so all you here is the sound of blowdryers, phones and chatter over the "relaxing music" they usually play while you are being rub downed. The massage itself was fluff. Don't go here for a deep tissue or sports massage. I've had better from boyfriends before sex. After my EXACT to the minute 60 minute massage I was whisked away to another room (where the hell is my friend, I wonder?). I am told this is where I will get my "spa" manicure and pedicure. All I see is an office chair and one of those Conair foot baths waiting for me. I have given myself better pedicures and for FREE! Drive into Anchorage for spa services. If you are looking for a day of relaxing this is NOT the place. read more

Clean, clean, clean! That is the first thing I noticed, this place is clean! Very inviting. I called on a last minute wax. I had a big function to attend and noticed my brows were outta control, so I called and got right in. The esthetician was fantastic. I was very impressed with the business overall. Great service! They totally know how to manage my hair type (curly and dark). I'm glad we found a place that takes care of every hair type, and that can make it look great and vibrant but make sure the hair still stays safe. I go there every time, and never want to go anywhere else. They are completely amazing. Everyone is great and sweet with a fabulous atmosphere. I get waxed there too and I'm always taken care of and it's not janky or stretchy. It's a fantastic beauty salon with a lot to offer, and they're doing it all fabulously. No. Just don't. This salon reminds me of something from the show "Tabitha Takes Over"...before the make-over. The stylist I had kept yelling across the salon to other stylists and customers, having full conversations by screaming over the sound of blow dryers. My stylist also continued to pressure me to purchase a massage. I understand that it's typical for salon employees to cross promote, but she hounded me several times even after I declined. In addition to pushing me to get other services, the stylist spent most of the time I was in the chair prattling on about her financial troubles and her upcoming night out. The stylist also had her husband and young son show up at the salon while in the middle of cutting my hair. This wasn't just a quick drop-in, they sat at her station for at least 30 minutes. In general it was simply a lack of professionalism that completely discourages me from ever wanting to return, or recommend them to anyone. That's not even taking into account what she did to my hair. Then there is the end product. I have dark blonde hair and asked for a touch up on the subtle highlights and low lights that had begun to grow out. I also specifically said I prefer a more natural look and provided a photo to give her an idea. My stylist put 5 or 6 random chunky platinum blonde highlights in the bottom/back section of my hair. The rest of my hair she all-over colored light brown. It was awful. She also charged me for full highlights and full color. All in all it was a very negative experience--I do not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

My favorite place for color, cut and style. The salon is clean and not crowded. The prices are affordable enough to keep regular appointments even on a tight budget.
