In my 3 years living in their building in Rhinebeck I have witnessed drug overdoses happening in front of children, experienced multiple break-ins to my apartment with robbery, mailboxes have been broken into and mail has been stolen. When this was brought to the attention of Nat (operations manager), he ignored my emails for weeks. When he finally did acknowledge it, he could not have cared less. Simply said, "Get a camera." My stove has been broken for 2 years. The door to the oven does not shut, so i have to wedge it closed in order to cook. The entire control panel is burnt to a crisp as the door does not close completely. This is a fire hazard, but he still will not replace the oven. Nat is a prolific liar, and 2 years ago, he told me an oven had been ordered and would be delivered within a week. 2 years later, I let him know the oven was a fire hazard and needed to be replaced. Once again, he lied and said it was going to be delivered within a week. That was 2 months ago. I speak with a neighbor regularly who drives a taxi in town who has never had a working stove since moving in 2 years ago. He has never been able to cook for himself in his apartment. I feel fortunate compared to that. Nat told him to get a hot plate. Can you imagine the arrogant cavalier attitude when tenants can't even cook food? Also, even when a huge tree comes down in the yard, nothing is done. See the photos for evidence of all my claims. Last but not least, the creepy old man who lives in the house next door stalks around our building within 3 feet of the perimeter like some kind of peeping-Tom. He also regularly comes and sits on our front porch. I told Nat about it, and his response was, "There is nothing in the lease about where tenants can and can not sit. So, according to Nat, creepy old dudes can stalk around your home and look into your windows whenever they want. No big deal. This is what happens when the owner inherited the business, a spoiled rich kid with no discernable talent of his own. His reputation around Rhinebeck is that of a slumlord. I ignored the warnings when I moved here in 2021. Don't make the same mistake.

Their disrespect and unwarranted nastiness is truly despicable. And this Nick owner sounds like a disgusting individual you would never want to do business with regardless of how attractive the offer. Stay away.
