Nice people and easy access to fill your propane tanks. We bought a new tank and needed it filled. We went to that big book discount store and they said they couldn't fill it because it needed to be purged. Who knew?? So we were told to go here. Once we drove over they said no problem and no extra charge to do it and filled our tank. It took hardly any time at all. Friendly and fast. They really weren't that much more than the other place so we were very happy with the service and our propane. read more

I have now been on the phone to get a propane delivery for 55 minutes. You can reach them online if you have an account number, otherwise you are not able to set up an account. Is this the way to do business on a Monday afternoon? My daughter just walked in the room and said "are you still holding for those people?" We all have something more productive to do. read more

Three months ago I took a 30 pound tank to get recertified that several of us question whether or not it would pass just based on visual view of the in seal inside. It passed and within one month's time it began to leak and progressively got worse. Took the tank back to have them (Northern energy of kalispell) fill it 60 days after they certified it and when I began to leak they would fill it and when confronted about their integrity and ask for a refund they reverted to childish schoolyard response and said they I smelled like marijuana to distract the spot light off of their integrity and how safe is their inspection or inspectors. I own a dispensary that's my job if never been accused of smelling like Desal when I was a mechanic/OTR Driver. Now one must have to ask 2 questions 1,How important is the eyesight of an inspectors at Northern Energy as a whole and locally. 2 In Northern Energy eyes (SOP) what constitutes passable I myself will not be returning back to the kalispell location and question other northern energy affiliates not just because they became children in the playground but because they because they are willing to put my granddaughters in harm's way. I wish I could give no stars because I haven't mentioned the lack of company pride while all of the other businesses have updated there storefronts, the place there, still has not. The day we left for our trip to Florida we had a problem with getting propane to the fridge which had been working that night before. Went to Northern Energy and the Manager came out to check it out. I had pressure gauges on the tanks and he said that they weren't that necessary. He explained that when you opened the tank valve to do it slowly as if you do it will cause the check valve to close. The Manager is a very good at explaining how things in the systems work. Got the trip on a great start. read more

Northern Energy USED to be a good, home town company. Excellent customer service. At some point many years ago, they were bought out by Amerigas for home propane needs. Huh! Amerigas's on-line propane ordering is a mess! Try as you might, you will NEVER get a human voice to help you with that. The final straw for us was that we sold our house and moved one week after paying our annual tank rent. When we called to "disconnect" our service so the new owners could take over, I was told that we would receive a refund on our tank rent. That was three months, 9 different long phone calls to 9 different customer experience reps at their corporate offices, 2 service tickets (which they could not locate each time we called for a status update), and still no refund!! Ridiculous! Really? We all have wasted more time and energy than a $110 refund! Thankfully, we did not select this company for our propane needs at our new place and are giving our business to a small town company again, who care about their customers! read more
