We had a pipe burst in our home and xtreme came out the first week of October for work. Our insurance agent said to get an invoice asap and to stop all of the additional services as they add up quickly. The on site manager said he would get me the invoice the next week. I followed up with him repeatedly, nothing came. I followed up with the local manager several times, nothing came. We needed to make a determination on whether to pay for this ourselves or file an insurance claim. Xtreme was completely unprofessional, unreliable, and a total scam. Over 60 days later, yes, 60 DAYS later, we receive and invoice from their billing service, which was on a Thursday. I spoke with our insurance agent and decided to file a claim at that time. Our adjustor came out the following Monday and we were proceeding. The next day, Xtreme called me, emailed me in a most unprofessional way. Borderline harassment, asking for payment and said they offer a cash discount if it doesnt go through insurance. At this time, I had had the invoice for 4 business days. Now, I have had the invoice for less than 30 days. Our insurance is finalizing the claim and the expect to have everything ready in a few weeks. Extreme is putting a lien on our house because of the delay. The delay was because of them!!!!!!! I have records of each and every call, text, and email to everyone there. This is a total scam. The overall professionalism was lacking. The kid who came was clearly unmotivated, was struggling, and had an attitude. Because of that, the service took longer than it should have, there was damage to my walls, and I'm not confident my carpets were fully cleaned. They even left equipment behind! The literal day after I had the service done, I got a coupon in the mail for the package I had done. I called to see if I could get the coupon applied and the lady on the phone said no, which I guess is fine, but it was clear in her tone that the no came from a place of me being an inconvenience rather than policy. This was also after calling a few times over a couple hours with no answer after they opened. I should have known these folks were not worth their money and were sheisters because my slumlord recommended them. I agree with Ryan V. review. They are con artists when it comes to restoration and lip service. They are not endorsed by the Better Business Bureau, and are covert enough to still run under a Bozeman name that has been tweaked. There is another scathing review on the BBB under the other Xtreme name but it sounds like exactly the same game. Because of that they are hard to track or even find reviews under their current name and owner. A 5 man crew spent 4 hours in our basement tearing out flooded carpet, trim etc...The owner Brenden said they were done and left drying equipment. We asked them to remove it when we were told it would be around $15,000.00 and would go up based on days needed to dry. When they came to get the equipment I was told it would be $7,800.00 if I put it on my credit card?! The insurance adjuster said not to. They then billed our insurance $14,980.00 and had their lawyer threaten to put a lien on our mortgage if they weren't paid in full in 30 days. We had to hire ANOTHER restoration company to come in and finish THEIR almost $15,000.00 job. Xtreme left down buckled linoleum, linoleum tiles and a torn up mess everywhere. Black mold was growing under the linoleum by the time the other company came. They are XTREME alright...extremely deceptive, manipulative and fraudulent. Total SCAM! Run fast - they purposely use a 3rd party billing service (part of the scam maybe??) which delays getting any invoice. Ours took over 2 months despite calls, email, and finally a negative review to get the invoice. We couldn't file an insurance claim until we knew the cost of the Xtreme restoration. We couldn't even get a ballpark estimate from them. Fast forward to resolving the claim, Xtreme has the AUDACITY to say the delay will force them to put a LIEN on our home!!! This is a PLOY to get customers to pay directly vs go through insurance. We will fight Xtreme legally if this goes to a lien. Do not let this happen to you!! if you need restoration, go to your insurance first, they will recommend a restoration company that works directly with carrier so that you are not caught in the middle. We are not the first or the last to get SCAMMED by them. Hoping spreading the word puts them out of business. There are many other restoration companies. read more

I had an unlocated leak in my finished basement. Xtreme came in on a Friday and pushed very hard to do unnecessary remediation, including opening drywall, before the cause of the leak was determined and fixed. This would have resulted in having to remediate twice, which they did not state. I told them no and only allowed them to use to a dehumidifier, scrubber, and fans to dry the carpet over the weekend. Called them on Monday to come and get their gear out as it was dry, but they did not pull it all until days later. Received their bill for $4,221. Yup, over $4k to place a few fans all of which took their guy under two hours. I could have bought the entire equipment package they used for under $3k. Spoke to the owner and informed him that his bill was exaggerated, stated the time his guys worked etc. he seemed agreeable to adjusting it to something more in line with the work completed which he did not do. Avoid these rip-off artists at all cost! read more
