This company was working for a house across the road from me in East Lansing and parked in front of my house on the curb, during trash pickup the day after we got 12" of snow. This is all fine and good, but they parked so close to where my garbage bin is picked up by the garbage truck, the city truck had problems putting the bin back in the spot on the curb and ended up leaving the bin about 5 feet directly in front of the parked Milan Sasic Painting company truck. Enough room to probably turn sharp and pull out of their parking spot around it. So I'm inside, working from home and online meetings and such watching this play out. Wondering to myself, will this business do the nice thing and take a moment while cleaning snow off their vehicle to also move my bin the extra 2 feet to get it away from the front of their truck and replace it back on my curb? Just turn sharp enough right away to avoid it? It's empty and will take this guy about 10 seconds. NO - I watched this guy wipe off the snow from his windows and windshield, look at my garbage bin two or three times AND THEN CHOOSE TO RAM MY BIN WITH HIS TRUCK. Drove my bin about 20 feet across the snow until it fell over to the piles in front of my next-door neighbor. It managed to not crack the bin and the wheels still roll, the top works... so no real harm done. JUST A COMPLETE LACK OF RESPECT for the neighborhood and community as a whole. So I'm here, vowing never to use the company myself and telling the internet of their general lack of respect. I have no idea if this corresponds the level of detail and care it takes to complete interior/exterior painting... but I'm willing to bet the company cuts corners here and there. Or at least that employee does. You've been warned.
