Ceilings I paid $5500 for look worse than they were. Every single ceiling is awful. There is thick dried mud all over our crown molding and lights. Made them do the cathedral over again because it was the awful. My wife was furiuos that I hired them and caused us great stress. I'm writing because the contract stated they would do the garage in spring. They reneiged on the contract. Several emails sent to them were ignored. In summary, maybe they can paint but stay clear of any drywall needs. read more

They continue to be fantastic, easy to communicate with, and prepared to make sure that the job is done to the best degree possible. Blue Sky brings key services, such as carpentry, to ensure that all of our painting needs can be fully completed. I cannot tell you anything about their work quality. What I can say is that they never showed up for a scheduled appointment to give us an estimate on painting our house. Not did they respond to my voice message after being 30 minutes late for the appointment. Courtesy and respect are important. read more

These guys did an incredible job! We hired the crew to paint the exterior of our house, the trim and shutters on our 100-year-old home. The age of the home required a lot more attention to detail than a newer home and they did an exceptional job. They kept the jobsite clean and were very responsive. Blue Sky is one of the best companies my husband and I have worked with. We have done extensive remodeling and used a lot of companies in the area. Blue Sky was fantastic! They were on time, very professional and did a fantastic job. They painted our living room, foyer, office, hallway, doors and closets. Everything is beautiful. At the final walkthrough, they even noticed a few spots that needed touching up which my husband and I hadn't even noticed. They came back to fix it promptly without any question. Dave (the owner) was extremely professional and kept good track of the project. Our crew (Irving, Rick, Mike, Tony) were polite, efficient, and good! They cleaned up well at the end and we were worked in last minute just before Thanksgiving. We contacted several drywallers before we discovered Blue Sky Painting. Dave was the only one to ever return our calls. He and Irv came over to inspect the areas where we needed to have repairs done, and gave us a reasonable quote for the work which involved multiple cracks in our drywall as well as a hole near the bottom of our living room wall where the plaster had crumbled from what seems like water damage. Two subcontractors eventually came out, Francisco and Jesus, and they worked very quickly and took care to keep things clean (wearing masks and shoe coverings, using dropcloths, etc) and were very respectful. Later on, we had to add on a couple additional repairs which necessitated an extra trip to complete the work, but they worked with us to fit our scheduling needs and I think the end result is very good. We will definitely use them again in the future, and we highly recommend Blue Sky Painting to anyone needing drywall repairs. Thanks! read more

I do not understand how this company has 5 star reviews anywhere!! The owner is a sweet talker and smooth operator who never shows up on time to finish a project and sends people who do not speak english nor know anything about painting to paint. We hired him to paint the house and deck prior to us moving for $$$$. He promised two coats of stain/paint on the house and the deck. To my chagrin, I saw the guy scraping the "paint" off the deck with a hammer and chisel, thereby damaging every plank of the wood. What did Dave do....fill it with caulk and leave without letting us know that it was dangerous for anyone to stand on it or lean on it. And painting the house, well let's just say he diluted the paint and did not even do the whole house because it had mold less than six months later in the winter!! His paint job cost us $20,000 in repairs to replace the deck, and redo all the painting. Beware!!! read more

I hired Blue Sky for a large project that included plaster work and ceiling painting in a great room. Two bedrooms, ceiling and walls, three halls and two stairwells and one storage room. Because the home is occupied I specified with Dave that the work would need to go room by room as I had no place to put all the furniture. He agreed to this plan. There were two phases. Phase one was the great room plaster repair and ceiling while we were out of the home. When we returned the work was not complete. I withheld partial payment. They returned a month later to begin the second project, leaving my home in disarray for a month. In true industrial fashion Rick, the lead painter, proceeded to plan to paint all the ceilings at once. Then all the closets needed to be emptied to paint on one day. One closet was completed that day and I had to rehang and remove the same items the next day. Dave was of no help, indeed, he told my husband not to "upset' his staff when we tried to limit the number of spaces they painted. The storage closet had bedding and an upholstered chair. Rick agreed to leave that room alone. Then he entered it and began plastering without benefit of covering my chair or bedding. There was no trim work done. They did not respect my piano (water marks from beverages evidenced leaving their drinks on unprotected surface,) my sofa which remained in the great room had plaster chunks under the cushions suggesting it was not draped to protect; a new cherry desk had yellow paint on the legs and white paint on the top suggesting ceiling and wall painting did not protect this 4 month old desk, new carpeting in one room less than 3 months old has green paint from their drops and paint on carpeting in another room where the desk was also damaged. Drips on slate required using a scraper to remove. We have natural wood trim and they did not keep a good line between the wall and the trim. Some of the trim had paint when they removed the tape. They left the smoke alarm unattached as well as a cold air vent. They were more interested in meeting a timeline than in doing a decent job. I cannot recommend them. I bid this job between three companies and the price was the same as the others. I was mis-lead by Dave who said he would proceed room by room. Proceed with caution. Additionally, Dave and Rick made an appointment to come out and look at my concerns. They never showed and did not call. The cost in total was $4000.00 read more
