I had confirmed with my insurance that this office was covered, but it turned out they weren't. I saw a therapist for four sessions before finding out. NWW sent me something called a "Superbill," but then told me to ignore it because it might not be accurate. I still don't understand why they'd send something to clients that isn't actually useful. NWW said they would double-check my insurance, but five months went by with no update or bills. I assumed everything was fine, only to find out later that I still had a balance due. It took eight months after my last session for me to finally get an actual bill. The therapist was fine, but the insurance and billing process was an absolute mess. read more

We are an experiential, integrative, trauma-informed mental health clinic serving Wisconsin. We provide sliding scale services. Northern Woods Wellness LLC is a unique clinic as it is designed with a Hygge approach and mission. Hygge refers to the Danish concept of comfortability and wellbeing. NWW LLC is based in Eau Claire, WI and serves clients throughout Wisconsin via in-person and virtual appointments. All services begin February 5th, 2024.

Northern Woods Wellness LLC was established in Eau Claire, WI in October, 2023. It is owned and operated by Eau Claire natives who have a passion for the Chippewa Valley and beyond. Our services are tailored to client needs and integrative therapy processes are offered. Such treatments include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused CBT, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Meet the Business Owner: Timothy F.

I am an active practitioner for mental health and well being. I have extensive experience working with PTSD and complex trauma. My wife and I own and operate this business together and both are Eau Claire natives. We both are also practicing professionals within the helping profession. In our free time, we enjoy watching movies, playing video games, reading, motorcycling, running and spending time with our 2 huskies Aurora and Zelda.
