Regarding my experience yesterday at the Northfield Township garage shredding event:…read moreBefore we revert to a discussion about my unsafe driving to turn my one small bag of shredding in, I have to say that I expect these shredding events to last the full 9-1 time period. I understand that the small truck was full and had no more room for additional bags. I'm just wondering: with the few bags you might have received in the last 10-15 minutes of this and other events, couldn't there be a Plan B? A larger truck? Locked storage inside the facility? Or a secure area inside one of the vehicles to hold the last bags received? I don't know what your viable options are. I have been to other Township's shredding events where other accommodations have been made. Niles Township has held shredding events in snowstorms. In one case, there were so many bags that couldn't fit in the truck that a separate holding area was set up. Interestingly, I often go to these shredding events without incident. The exceptions have been when the Commissioner is present. This was especially true of the previous Commissioner, who was rude on more than one occasion. I was really hoping that would end when he left office. Telling me about other "options," such as the upcoming event on a Wednesday, is ingenuous. You do realize that some residents work and can't take off to attend a shredding event in Northfield? I was there at that time, on a Saturday, and feel that some accommodation could have made for me and the other drivers who came at the end. I don't need to call and talk to you about it, so please don't hand me your business card. Just understand that your new location, while more spacious and apparently updated, is further for many residents of the township. Please realize how far we've drive to drop our shredding off, and you go the extra mile as well. Thank you for hearing me out.

They let me do so and asked me to bring the cart back. When I did I didn't know where exactly to put it so I left in in the building near the front inside the hallway. So one day I called with a question and the person who answered the phone snapped at me and snapped at me calling me the lady who stole the cart. I tried telling her about me putting it in the building and she told me it was all my fault and now they are short 1 cart. Furthermore she told me not to return again. Offensive and ignorant person. Shouldn't even be working there. If she was working at a regular business she would be fired in a heartbeat.
