Most of my time this evening was spent in the meeting, but I was able to take a good look around. If I weren't so hooked on my digital devices and ebooks, I'd become a regular.. I still have my library card. This library is located very close to a elementary and high school.. had a steady flow of people going I and out, yet was just as quiet as I remember. Plenty of parking and off a major road.. very accessible. I'd return just to chill.

This branch is a lot more spacious than I considered it being, with a series of tables in the center of the library as you walk in, and a couple of rows of computer stations on either side of the library. A childrens section of the lbrary found on the right hand side is nicely sized, with rows of childrens books and tables for them, and on the left there are more study areas and rows of general population library books. I took a seat at one of the central tables, all the way at the back of the library, and there's a nice mostly glass wall that gives you a great look of the outdoors. Unfortunately, it didn't seem that any of these tables had any electrical outlets near them, although I didn't need one at the time. One thing that started to drive me crazy is every 5 or 10 minutes, a large crowd would come in, talking like they were in an amusement park. I.e. super loud. I was all set to give this branch maybe 3 stars until I left the library shortly after. When I left, there was a children's event going on in one of the private rooms to the right of the entrance, complete with music, lights, balloons and happy kids. Beyond that, there's so much more to do, like learning spanish, learning chess, having an ice cream social (Rhythm and Rhymes) and safety/reading with a cop. It's clear to see that the wesley chapel library branch is every bit a pillar of this community, serving children and adults alike! Is this place super duper loud? It can be. Should that stop you from coming? I don't think so....and if you live in the area, this is a great place you need to be, especially if you have kids. As the interior is spacious, so too is the exterior, having a decent amount of parking. Enough to hold more than 50 cars i'd say. Getting in is very easy. Getting out is a one way exit (to the right), so if you want to go left, you gotta go down a light and make a u turn....or simply cut across illegally....I don't judge. I did get some studying done, and while I was interrupted from time to time, this branch at Wesley Chapelserves a great many of people, and for that alone, I have to bump them up a star. Let me start off by saying this is nowhere near the largest library I've ever been in but it still is pretty cozy to me. It's bigger than the Sue Kellogg branch in Stone Mountain. Redan-Trotti has more computers, tables, and seating thus making it a comfortable spot to read and study. The bathrooms here are usually clean as well. There's also a copy machine but no fax machine. The only downfall is that I can't bring in any food or drinks... which is understandable because some people are messy and there's carpet, computers, and books that people could mess up. I still wish I could bring in my coffee though for my reading/studying sessions. With Redan-Trotti's humble size yet the right amount of equipment (and furniture,) this will be my go-to library as long as I'm living in DeKalb.

I entered and we both got new cards and bounced. Then someone put me on to a library app called Libby and now I'm checking out books from my iPad and never thought about entering one again. FFWD to 3 days ago when I ran out of ink for my printer at the house and it was faster (and cheaper) to go to the library and print instead of running out for more ink. So I went in this library with that one goal in mind. But... all of that was tossed aside when I was met at the door with a book display that blew my mind!! On my mama I found like 6 books I wanted and they just GAVE THEM TO ME!! Like all I did was show my card and that was it. This *ish seemed criminal!! I forgot how easy it is to get books at the library. I'm shook!! Dead a**!! I'm ready to get more and I don't even know what the limit is!! Anyways this is more of a general library review and not necessarily this library. I came to the Hairston Crossing Library on a Monday afternoon for studying, and quite honestly, I…read morehadn't been here in more than a decade, but it looks like several renovations have been done since I last stepped in. Computers are available front and center as you walk in, and there are tables for studying, large ones that can seat 4 people at a time. There's also smaller tables that line the walls that seat two people at a time. Each table has its own outlet if you have your devices that need powering, and while I did hear some beeping noises from time to time, it was pretty quiet. An entire section in the rear of the library houses a children's book area with a table for kids. Of course throughout the library are several rows of books and staff were on hand to help anyone who needed it. The parking lot is decently sized, having no problems finding a parking spot. While the parking lot was easy to find a space, it was a bit challenging to find a table. Library computers were all being used at the time of my visit, and every table had at least one person sitting at it, so sometimes you have to share, which is what I did. Smaller library with limited books, but it does the job for me, especially when i'm just trying to study. I'd happily come back.

Honestly very thankful for this place. When it comes to passports, I was last minute with everything. When I was looking up acceptances facilities, they were all booked until after Labor Day. The only place so far was the Superior Court of Fulton County, but I am not paying that 10-20$ parking fee (gross). Thankful for this place. The library itself is very beautiful with a self-service touchscreen kiosks, but also employees there to offer you assistance. If you are willing to make the drive to Lilburn/Stone Mountain, then please do. Amazing vibes, excellent customer service. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to apply for their new passport.

There is a strong chance they might have the show or movie on DVD! DeKalb County Public Libraries have now extended their DVD loan period to 3 weeks, same as books, which is much appreciated. I actually came to this Clarkston branch since they had a particular disc that I was looking for; you can check the online catalog to see what's available. The main parking lot is behind the library, and the entrance is to the side. The driveway to the lot is narrow so drive slowly. The building shows its age and it's not the biggest location, but it's still a pleasant library. The restrooms were clean (though there were some empty cigarette packs at the back of the building), and the other patrons were well-behaved. It was easy enough for me to locate the DVD area and find what I needed. The guy at the circulation desk wasn't the friendliest, oh well. Don't forget your mask since they're required. If you are a monster who doesn't like books, periodicals, and multimedia (kidding), you still should stop by the Clarkston Library to admire its enormous stunning hibiscuses! Whoa, gorgeous.

Nice library! I came…read moreto the Dekalb county Public library in Clarkston to study on a Friday afternoon, and this was one of the better libraries i've been to. Nope, it's not as technologically advanced as other locations, but it is clean, there is space for studying and it's actually quiet! If anyone has kept up with my reviews on libraries, my biggest beef has always been someone was loud and disruptive, but on this day, I was relatively undisturbed....outside of the guy next to me who asked me if he could borrow a pen. The library isn't the largest one i've been to, but there's a respectable amount of books and computer stations, both immediately in front of you as you walk in, and to the left of you. The entire right side of the library is the children's area. All the way to the far left there's about 5 cubicles for studying, as well as a few chairs as well. Several Tables are also found while walking to this area. On this day most of the cubicles were empty, so I was able to take a spot in the padded chairs and get to work. One cool thing about the cubicles is they all come with their own individual lamps, for the late night studying ( only mon-wed...they close at 5pm thurs - sat), a nice little touch I haven't seen any other library branch do yet. 30 minutes before the library is to close, they alert you via loud speaker, and continue to do so every 10 minutes until it closes, so you don't have to worry about not being alerted of it's closure. Parking at the library is interesting. There is a parking lot to the left of the library, but the actual "library only" parking is at the rear of the library itself (turn right into the library lot and follow the road around). It's a smallish lot, being able to hold less than 20 cars and likely less than that. Getting in or out of this lot in either direction isn't too tough. I definitely like this library. It's small, not the most technological, but it does what a library should do....keep a quiet atmosphere and for learning. What can I say? I'm a fan!

The newest library in GCPL's line up. I love this location. Is it is smaller as far as libraries…read morego, but the building is huge as it used to be a high school, now converted to a museum. There's plenty of private work spaces and communal work spaces, but the best part for me are the two pods that they have for parents with Little kids. If you need to get some work done quickly, you can put your toddler or infant in the pod and lock the guard while you sit and do computer work. The only con is that because there are so many windows facing the sun, it tends to get a bit warm inside the library during the summer months. It is great for the view, but a bit uncomfortable at times.

Nicely sized library at the Stone Mountain - Sue Kellogg Library. Some libraries I've visited have…read morebeen light on books but not the case here. This library is split into two areas, one being a general library, complete with tables, computer access and shelves of books plus chairs. The other area is actually a decently sized children's area with a few desks, several shelves of books for kids and a children's play area. It was the children's area where I decided to sit, mainly because it was the only area with a desk area without a computer where I could sit and study undisturbed. Be warned...being in the kids area means you'll at some point have to be okay with kids ignoring the "quiet in the library" rule, but hey, it's THEIR area, not yours. So why the three stars (I didn't ding them for the kids being kids)? Really it was because I had to sit in the kids area in the first place. True, I guess I didn't HAVE to, but there were only tables available for studying in the general section of the library which were shared. Areas where there were individual places to sit seemed to only be computer stations, and I didn't want to take someone's computer privileges by sitting there, not using it. Parking was not a problem in this lot, but as it's literally steps away from the free lot in downtown Stone Mountain, there's always more parking if needed. Located in visual distance from Weeyums, and maybe a half mile from Stone Mountain park, you're very close to a few good restaurants, coffee, and some exercise if you want it. Decent library in a nice location that generally provides A-okay studying for you.

The service was pretty fast we signed up for a card at home then went to go pick it up and browsed around for a while. The guy at the entrance was really nice who was actually checking us in and helping us get our actual card. he provided a lot of information and provided us with a couple of pamphlet that was very helpful. they look like they have a few events that take place there from time to time it is currently still summer. They have different summer programs going on , plus you can tend to register to vote here as well. Anywho my daughter enjoyed herself playing on the computers they had set up for kids in like the kids zone she was able to play games that were already set up on there just as well as they had lots of books to pick from. We would definitely be back. They made a great first impression only downfall that I could say is none of the books that I really wanted to check out was available somewhere on Libby available to be audio read but I actually want the physical book so right now I'm currently in line waiting to get the book that I want.
