WTH has been the ideal fit for us. All the teachers have at least a bachelors and many have a masters in teaching. Most have also been at WTH or teaching for many many years. When you step in WTH you can immediately tell that it's a real school environment-- they even have a library and lunch room. In a short period of time, my four year old is advancing really quickly. With in just a few weeks he's already holding a pencil correctly and writing his name (both things he didn't do at prior preschools). This was my two year old's first experience at preschool. I was a little nervous because he's never been cared for outside of our home. With in just a week he would detach with no problem and walk away with a "bye mommy." He's also becoming really independent through their encouragement. He'll bring his own things into school and put them away. It's also worth noting that the director is almost always present and is fully immersed in the activities at the school. I see her all the time from drop off to pick up. This preschool is absolutely top notch. Great teachers, strong curriculum and a really nice facility. We're happy to have found WTH!

Coming from Germany only 5 years ago, the size of the public high school was an issue which we did not anticipate. Cunae is in comparison a lot smaller, but that was in our case exactly what we were looking for. Our son absolutely thrived in the last two years. The IB program was what attracted us in the first place, but the whole concept at this school is fantastic.

I toured 4 schools before deciding to start him at Northwood and I'm really glad I chose this school because of the fact that they are only one of two AMI accredited schools in the greater Houston area and are really committed to maintaining a true Montessori style classroom and environment. My son flourished while in Ms. Regan's classroom. I cannot say enough good things about Ms. Regan. She is an extremely devoted teacher who takes time to know each child and work with them as individuals. This is part of the Montessori method of learning but Ms. Regan goes above and beyond to create the best individualized plan to help your child succeed, she's truly amazing! I also LOVE the playgrounds, it's set in a wooded area with lots of space for the children to run around and they even have a little walking/biking trail. The campus is absolutely beautiful -- surrounded by pine trees, calm, and clean. It's a fully gated property with video cameras, so I always feel confident that my child is safe. Honestly, I wish I could stay there myself all day -- it's that peaceful! The teachers -- Ms. Nada, Ms. Dixie, and Mariah -- are truly amazing. They quickly became our friends. Every single day, they take the time to share how my son is doing. He came from another country, but now he's learning English so fast -- he can count, name colors, and even sings songs at home that he picked up at school. One of my favorite moments is every morning: as soon as we arrive, my son lets go of my hand and runs straight to his friends -- completely forgetting about me. To me, that's the best sign of a truly great place for mu child.

In the infant room babies are left to cry it out (even two months olds) and in the toddler room kids are forced to become independent before they are ready. Montessori is all about following the child but there they want a 18 months old to be able to dress themselves and leave them to cry out of frustration for up to an hour. I have picked my daughter up in soiled diapers several times and In numerous occasions the diapers leaked through her pants. If you have special dietary restrictions be sure that they will be ignored even if you specifically write them out. My vegan daughter got dairy and eggs for 2 months until I finally found out about it. They will put children in danger. They put my daughter into an adult sized chair during a meltdown and let her fall off TWICE and did not even repay the unused tuition for that month when I finally took her out of the school. Tried to meet with them for a month but it never ended up coming to a meeting since the owner insisted that 2 other employees should be part of the meeting which shows that she doesn't even truly care about the situation. Stay away from this place if you care about your child's wellbeing.
