The amenities are great. So is the location. But that's about it. Management is so hard to work with and will charge you for absolutely EVERYTHING. They don't care to understand a situation, like for example when I told them in January that I needed to cancel my spring lease (starts in April) they charged me a $100 fee to cancel. I even explained I was leaving on a mission for the church, but they didn't seem to care. They make clean checks unrealistically difficult to pass. The apartments are old, our room even flooded 3 times in a single month, and every time they'd say they couldn't do much about it. It's a money pit, the proximity to the campus isn't worth it. I've spent more on fees and clean checks than on a parking pass (which is already ridiculously expensive). Save your money and your sanity and live somewhere else. read more

HORRIBLE apartment. Management chargers student for anything possible, for example, a small tear in one blind that could have easily been there last semester, and now charges $42 for a "Blind-Fee" which will most likely not get repaired. Clean checks are over-the-top difficult to pass, so they can charge you more. And lastly, charged the entire apartment a $111 fee because 2 trash bags were left after moveout. They do super fun activities like food days and events. The gyms are sooo awesome and the location is the best! I wish I would have lived here all 4 years!! This is honestly probably one of the WORST places I have ever lived, management is full of the WORST people imaginable, the only good worker in management is Katie, and that's about it everyone else should be fired. I love my apartment so much. This is my third semester and so far I've haven't had any bad experiences. Management is amazing, they respond to any concern I have with lighting speed. I couldn't be more disappointed in NorthPoint Apartments Management Team. I spoke with one young lady in the office who said, "if you look around online and try to buy a parking space and can't find one then you can always terminate the contract and live somewhere else. We looked for a month but couldn't find one. Now that it is winter and parking is brutal, and scarce, we went back to the management to tell them we wanted out of the contract and would be happy to pay the nominal fee. Murray, one of the managers was not the least bit helpful and said we could not get out of the contract because it was within 61 days of class starting for winter semester. So now my daughter has no where to park except by the temple. If I could find a lower rating than one star, I would have selected that! FIRST OFF: the pictures above are only renders of what Northpoint was supposed to look like. It is much worse than what you see. I lived at Northpoint while they were under their old management and LOVED them. However since they have changed it's been an absolute disaster. The A/C system became shotty and barely worked in the spring. If anyone used the oven the apt automatically reaches temps of 78°. It became pretty gross to be in doors when the promised A/C system had to be turned off for three days so the system could "thaw". The management sent emails to help us understand the situation however when we went to "open the windows" half of them don't open... kind of ridiculous. On top of this the washer which we had replaced was a P.O.S. and the people who take out the trash are subpar. However on the flip side. The apartments themselves look pretty nice and the amenities are cool, but management here is awful and they take every penny from you they can. They put charges on your account without telling you and then make you pay all these unknown fees at the end of the semester. The poor maintenance guys don't get to your maintenance requests for at least 2-3 weeks. I have lived at three different apartment complexes in Rexburg over the last two years. I can say confidently that North Point is among the very best. You'll fall in love with their friendly office staff and will feel comfortable in the spacious and clean living quarters I moved to the Towers last Fall to see if I'd like it better, but no. I moved back to North Point the semester after with regrets of having ever left. Management even got my brother and I back in a room together after having been completely booked. They always put the resident first. If you are looking for the best housing in Rexburg, I'd highly recommend getting a tour here and trying it out for a semester; you won't be disappointed! read more

Awful management! This place just wants your money! It started when my checkout date for my old apartment was a week before I could move into NorthPoint. They charged me $15 a night and I had to pay my first month of rent even though all the other apartments check out dates had ended. They also refused to give me the $200 off they advertise for new signers. The apartment I moved into was filthy... and when people came to clean it, it was still dirty. There was a girls stuff everywhere and she wasn't even on our floor plan. Then when I was out of town for a few weeks I noticed I had two more charges for a failed clean check... I wasn't home. When I explained it to them, they refused to take off the charges and never got back to me. I also had a "payment plan fee" of an extra $50 because I had to pay every month instead of all at once because I am a working college student. I requested an early checkout because I was losing money living here even though I had finished paying my rent. When I checked out, someone came for my white glove and told me to redo some of the cleaning. So I spent hours recleaning and requested them to come back and recheck it. I received a completely different person who, instead of rechecking the stuff I missed, started my whole white glove over again and charged me with stuff the person before already passed me on. When I checked out, they charged me AGAIN for not having an envelope that they could send my deposit back in. Why is that my responsibility? I have lived at several other apartment complexes at byui and this one by far charged me the most, was most expensive rent, and was not even close to being worth it. Apartment was filthy. They just want your money. If I could tell every student at byui to not live here I would. NorthPoint is the best apartment complex ever! I have lived here for 6 semesters and I don't plan on leaving. The only time I would is when I graduate or when I get married. The management is amazing! They love to help you and want you to feel comfortable. The amenities are on point as well! Horrible management this is my first time using yelp just to warn people oh how shitty northpoint is. So quality wise it is horribly built place is run down even though it is 8 years old. Ac and heat sometimes don't work and most the windows are incorrectly installed leading to air leaks. Sadly that is not the worst part the management will try and screw you over. I reserved a spot for spring 2022 bc the are really bad at making you and your friends in the same room unless you sign up ridiculously early. So I got a job out of state and I told them two months in advance I wanted to cancel and they told me to sell or pay the full 1.6K they didn't negotiate a cancelation fee or anything and this is 2 months before spring 2022. I tried selling it thought it'd be easy but I couldn't even sell it for half price because there's a bunch of rules and fees they have for selling which made buyers cancel on me. So here I am and they keep charging my account even though I'm out of state and not using it. And this is without signing a contract for spring and giving them a 2 month cancelation notice so hopefully they won't come after me but if they do I'm taking them to court. -10/10 run from northpoint. read more

This place has it all. I have now lived here three semesters and could not imagine living anywhere else. From the big open closets, two fridges in every apartment, personal washer and dryer per apartment, open kitchen, vanities outside the bathroom so you can brush your teeth while your buddy is doing his business inside the bathroom, extra study rooms on every floor, covered parking for the winter, and great staff. That's not even to mention it's amenities center which has the latest and greatest food choices of rexburg, with the sweetest gym in rexburg, and then two floors full of fire pits, study rooms, movie theaters, and entertainment above all of that. Not to mention it's right across the street from campus so you don't even need to buy a parking pass for campus. This is the place to stay. Did I mention all the babes stay here? It makes dating so much easier. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. So don't be a clown sign a contract here. read more

Overpriced and Terrible Service I was there for two semesters and did not care for either. They have raised their prices to ridiculous amounts; however, their quality has decreased. They try to charge you as much as possible. Pros: - It is on the north side of campus (which is closer to town) - You get a discount at some places - The apartments are newer Cons: - Service sucked. I was charged $25 because the roomates didn't clean a thing and they refused to remove it. They told me they got rid of it, but then took it out of my deposits. - Their price is just about the same as your tuition. - They have amenities, but are either broken/gross or are being used by an awkward couple - The people they attract are terrible. When you have an exam the next day, nothing is like hearing snoop dogg at 3am. They are 18 year olds, straight out of high school, and expect their parents to pay to fix all their problems. They think they are entitled, I had several occasions were people just walk in, and you don't even know them. No matter the time of day or night. Someone walked in took my lighter and said "i'm gonna borrow this"....never saw it again You know what just over all they are overpriced and people assume that with the high prices they will get a better service and quality, but in reality they get a terrible bedroom that is small, roommates and neighbors that are so confused and angry when they hear the word "no", and a management that lies about fixing your problems. There are alot more issues I had, but at this point it shouldn't matter. read more

Let me get this out here. Yes, the Building looks nice, and the photos on their disfunctional website look nice, but there is little sunshine and no rainbows around these apartments. I have called multiple times to attain a visitor parking pass for the the weekends I drive two and a half hours from Utah to visit my girlfriend who lives here. Never have they answered and not being able to get ahold of them over the phone, I asked my GF to try to get one for me. The office was always closed every time she went over, even though the sign on the door said they should be there. I stayed one night, past the curfew of 1am and I went to my car around 1:17am to get something from my car, and the next morning, I had a boot on my tire (which scratched my wheels up) with a violation time of 1:19am!! Now I know NorthPoint doesn't do the parking enforcement themselves, but really guys!! $90 because I couldn't for the life of me get ahold of you!! Also, the signs that tell you you are going to be towed and booted, you have to be at least a foot from to read because the text is so small, and they are half way up the pillars. Every time I have come up, the stairwells and hallways have been dirty, and once there where three lights out in the stairwell. Maintenance has always been poor from what I've noticed, as there is alwady skmesomet wrong. I know that the oven in often doesn't heat to the temperature you set it to, and the thermostat has no consistency. Also in the amenities building, one set of bathrooms has been out of order two weeks in a row for some undisclosed reason. Another complaint I've heard from both my girlfriend and a long time friend who lives there too is that one, the mail is never in time, and that if you are expecting anything that needs to be signed for, management will magically be there to say that you don't live in the apartments, and will make the item disappear. read more

If I could give this apartment complex zero stars I would. Although the amenities, and look of the apartments may seem nice, management makes my experience here terrible. I have been trying to get out of my lease, but all the other apartment complexes for fall are full, so I am stuck here for another semester. We had issues with our roommates last semester, and they ended up moving apartments during the middle of the semester. Northpoint management was quick to hear this information and blame me and my roommates, when they don't know the story at all. Our new roommate told us that she heard them talking bad about us. There are so many times when they add on ridiculous charges to your account, overcharge for every, etc. You may have ac, but don't be fooled, it doesn't go past 70 degrees and you'll find yourself sweating all day long. Management is not understanding one bit. The dryers don't work, the windows don't open, the blinds are crapy, the ac is terrible, the sinks are shallow and don't have a disposable. The place is great! To name a few of the things that make me a returning resident is the prime location for my work and also how close it is to campus, a great place to live in the winter. A couple other things that put this place above some of the other apartments I have lived in is the management, who are like second moms to me. They are always willing to help and work around you as a resident. They have a great amenities center and also these are the closest apartments to some great food! North Point Apartments are beautiful and classy. That is where my good opinion ends. The management was very kind and helpful when getting me INTO the apartment but when I had financial trouble before I even got there, they were very unhelpful when it came to getting out. They made me several promises when it came to cancelling and selling my contract, but I was naive enough that I never wrote the promises down. They did not keep a single promise that they made and kept after me for money that they swore I would not owe. They also kept saying they would call back and never did. In the end I had to pay the money or I could technically get kicked out of school. I loved the look of the apartment, but I may have to wait until a whole new set of managers come in, and next time I will write up contracts signed and dated. read more

Northpoint is an EXCEPTIONAL place to live for BYU-I students! It is so close to campus, and when the cost compared to all the perks you get, it is no contest! The apartments are cleaned prior to move in and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful! Julie and Chantell in the main office are so sweet and want to make you feel taken care of. They will also take out your trash FOR YOU, all you have to do is tie off the bag and leave the bag by the door! They also have awesome theater rooms you can reserve and an huge gym that is free to residents. Such a great place to live, I highly recommend! read more

I have not enjoyed my stay at northpoint at all. The rooms are too expensive for what you get. The bedrooms are on the small side and the living room only has one couch. My experience with management has not been very helpful ether. They tried to up sell me on a L lot parking pass. NorthPoint Apartments are so beautiful and spacious. The people are exquisite and very social. The management are great. I had financial trouble with paying rent, but they were very patient with me and they helped me when I needed help outside of their business. they are ready to listen to their tenets with whatever problem they face whether money, friends, or roommate problems. I loved every aspect of NorthPoint, however I think that a lot of a persons experience depends on their attitude towards it. Right now I am on my 4th semester as a NorthPoint resident and I have signed up for next semester and I honestly have to say these are the best apartments on campus. The management is super friendly and attentive to any. The location is really convenient right next to campus. The Amenities building has the nicest lounge area with theater rooms, pool and air hockey tables, fire pits and an amazing gym. The apartments are big and very comfortable. The kitchen appliances and TV are all brand new and the living room is big. The parking garage is the best the school has to offer. The wards and social life is excellent and I highly recommend anyone who is thinking of living here. read more

Northpoint ok apartments, decent parking, and good location, but has the worst management I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I lived there Fall 2014, and opted to make rent payment in installments (which, by the way, is RIDICULOUS. BOTH of the first "installments" of rent are due upon check in... so it's not really a payment plan, its 2/3 up front, and 1/3 later... very frustrating for me. When I was touring the apartments before deciding to live there I was told there was a rent payment option, and assumed it would work like every other complex. Very misleading.) I wrote a check in OCTOBER for an installment of rent. I lived there for the remainder of fall semester, and went through THE ENTIRE CHECKOUT PROCESS. I checked out, got my deposit back, and was told MY ACCOUNT BALANCE WAS $0.00. Then, IN APRIL 2015, I was called up by northpoint and told that $700 was owed on my account. I was confused, seeing as how it had been month since I had lived there, and that I went through the checkout process and was told my balance was $0. A housing hold was put on my student account. I had the $700 in october 2014 when I had been paid for my summer job from the summer before, I had it in december, I had it in January, and I even could have paid it in february. In late february, however, I got married, and after those expenses and extra $700 out of the blue wasn't an option. THEY WAITED SIX MONTHS TO TELL ME A CHECK FOR $700 HAD BOUNCED. Everytime I call they are unhelpful. They are required to be patient and polite, but neither of those attributes help me register for classes. I was able to borrow money from my parents so I can pay the $700 to northpoint. I paid over the phone with them, and the money has been taken out of my account, but they STILL WILL NOT REMOVE MY HOUSING HOLD claiming that the money needs to "settle". Northpoint was unhelpful and unprofessional. I recommend that you avoid living there at all costs. I regret ever stepping foot in that building. read more

I made an account for the sole purpose of informing everyone about the terrible quality of the Northpoint apartments and its owners/management. Northpoint will screw you over any chance they get. They don't care about their residents and will force them to pay exorbitant prices while refusing to accommodate or refund anything. They are inconsiderate and hey put people at risk several times during the current coronavirus pandemic by refusing to implement quarantine precautions in their apartment and knowingly exposing and introducing people who had been out of state (who refused to self isolate) to me and my friends. They have forced my friend to move from apartment to apartment and they refused to compensate her for it. The management has been terrible when I have tried to communicate with them. When I called and asked what they were planning to do to keep everyone safe and isolated during the coronavirus pandemic, they literally said "There is nothing we can do, people have their agency." The management has been willfully negligent and had me or one of my friends gotten sick because of their greediness and lack of planning, I would take them to court. Please please just don't stay here if you think you want an apartment and a team who wants to see you succeed and wants you to return and have a good experience.
