If my son had a bad day, he let me know and if he had a good day, he was absolutely celebratory. He also was always very positive and encouraging either way (to all the kids). He is (or was?) a school principal. When my son got moved up, everything changed. He hated gymnastics. He frequently complained about how mean his teachers were. I watched as the teacher made him sit through the class by himself. When his class was over, the teachers always had plenty of criticism about him. He would run out of his class every week sobbing and hiding in the locker room. My son is not a perfect angel. He has ADHD and can be challenging to teach. But he's in other weekly activities, like skiing, karate, and piano lessons. None of his other teachers have criticized him so severely and given me the kind of hopeless feedback that Gym World has. I think the teachers for the boys at my son's age are in over their head. They don't seem to understand what is developmentally appropriate for children at this age. I know Gym World has an amazing reputation and maybe they just expect every 6 year old to be interested in pursuing a professional gymnastics career. Whatever the reason, they ruined my son's love of gymnastics and I unenrolled him. His emotional wellbeing and mental health was just more important to me. It's also worth mentioning that I went here as a kid and in retrospect, I remember quitting at a similar age for the same reasons. I don't recommend Gym World unless your child wants to be a gymnast.

However, I've been here enough times to know a five star gym when I see one. The Ganims' "no nonsense" approach to training makes Gym World the elite of the elite, and they have the trophy wall to prove it. If your child is serious about gymnastics, this is the place to be. Children come from all over Ohio hoping to be the next Olympic gymnast. Which I can tell you, gymnasts good enough for that, come from Gym World. With 40 years of experience under their belt, you couldn't ask for a better place for your child to train. I personally have never seen a group more organized and ready to go.

Such a fantastic place!…read more My niece had her gymnastic spectacular tonight. All of the kids were great! The staff was incredible and the parents were your typical proud parents. Lol! The gym was spacious and very well lite. It was a bit warm. But, there were about 200 people in there. The staff offered treats and a 50\50 raffle. It was great to be able to see and hear about some of the more advanced students. A few suggestions. Air conditioning, maybe a better way to "check" in? Or instead of having people form a line, a ticket booth? It was so packed in the little front lobby. It was hard to breath. The pictures, shirts, roses and sweets may have been better placed some place other then the small front lobby. Its an awesome place to learn gymnastics. They offer many different things. Including mommy and me all the way up to adult. The staff was fantastic with my hyper 5 year old niece.

Little Gym was one of the few places open and accepting drop in visits over the weekend. The facility is like new, the space is sparkling clean. The staff is ridiculously nice and keeps everyone safe and cared for during class. It is wildly apparent that they love what they do and adore working with kids. I am a teacher and I recognize the difficulty of working with a group of kids of different abilities. Coach Nash is exceptional. I forget the name of the other coach, but she was awesome too. They offer a first class free trial which was greatly appreciated. I cannot imagine finding a better facility anywhere. Best facilities, best equipment, easy parking, talented staff and reasonably priced. They clearly appreciate their clients and make post class announcements to caregivers about what they learned that day. Nice seating area with glass to watch your kiddos if you have them in a class that is without parent/guardian. They also have an impressive mini library of books to keep siblings busy while the classes are going on. They have thought of everything to make it user friendly. I know they are a new business and I wish them great success. It's a true hidden gem. (Honestly, I am NOT related, nor am I getting paid for this review...just a super impressed customer). We have two boys (6 & 8) who go there for their "Gymkata" program - basically the kids (mostly…read moreboys) do obstacle-course-like lessons, running and jumping and tumbling and bouncing. The boys love the physical activity and the low-formality approach to gymnastics. The instructors are great, and the prices are good. The facility is great for how they use it. We like the staff in general, and we're very happy with our experience overall. Today we also just had a birthday party there, for both boys, and the party was so great it prompted me to come write this review. They were great with helping us get it scheduled, and super-nice each time we called because our kid-count had gone up. In the end we had 28 RSVPs and 23 actually show, and everybody commented on how great the party was. The instructors were *amazing* - attentive to us and the kids, proactive in taking care of nearly everything, the kids loved them, and they (the instructors) were clearly having fun, too. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. (And the price is as good or better than comparable places.) Overall, I'm thrilled we found this place - it's been great for us!

Scheduling for privates is ridiculous. I even advocated for this gym to other parents letting them know that SURELY their kids privates would not be jeopardized. I WAS WRONG!! For over a year I have had my daughter at the same day and time, however they decided to make it a free for all, EVEN THOUGH there's an option to make a recurring option, it actually does not. So, after paying over $2k in the last year, and my daughter being dedicated to her one day a week time, I am now having to check the site and choosing random days and times to make sure my daughter doesn't lose her skills. After this went live, Karen promised to make it right, but then did NOT. She actually said "I think it'll work itself out" and did NOT take care of my issue. Instead, she said "well I guess I could call the parent and ask if you can have your time back"..... what a real manager and leader would do is say, "You're right, I did promise that and I will make the phone call and let the parent know those times are actually unavailable." If my daughter did not absolutely LOVE her coach, I would go elsewhere. Poor management like this leads me to believe it is not all about progression and dedication to the gym. I'm extremely shocked and disappointed at the response, or lack there of, of this issue. Privates are important to athletes, as this is something they look forward to weekly... or whenever you can snag one on the site.

He is very assertive & stubborn.. so I was nervous he was too young for a class, but this structured class is teaching him listening skills and how to follow instructions (there is an obstacle course each class). His coordination and balance is also improving. We got lucky with a small class size, so he gets a lot of attention! Dominique comes over to encourage the toddlers as well, which is so sweet. She runs a great gym & we have had nothing but great experiences there! Highly recommend. :)
