Located just off downtown Chagrin Falls, its a beautiful, large spot with multiple rooms. So, why not 5 stars? I would LOVE if they could better advertise how they heat certain classes. I took a Basics class once and the room was at 80 degrees and it was way too hot (I was right next to the thermostat). Combined with the body heat of a packed class, myself and a few others felt physically ill (we had to leave in spurts to cool off) and the instructor didn't want to adjust the temp. I wasn't looking for a hot yoga class with my specific health needs but that is what it felt like. However, the meditation classes with Claire are 6 stars. She is so amazing. She has a soothing voice and an excellent sequencing for her meditation. She's also such a kind and warm person and I always look forward to seeing her. Dawn's Slow Flow class is also outstanding. Dawn is a great instructor that was super helpful to my physical limitations and inclusive and accepting of all. She made me feel capable without isolating me. They also have a WONDERFUL store. Be careful if you go in with your purse - so many beautiful scarves, accessories, yoga clothes, mats and other zen-inspired pieces. Its honestly my favorite!

She is an excellent instructor who is disciplined and emphasizes form, teaching you to be thoughtful and aware of your body. What really sets her apart is that she is both yoga teacher and life coach in one, without being too self-help or corny or inaccessible. I'm not at all new-age-y, but her classes really transcend your traditional pose/ stretch/downward-facing dog, and leave you with both a refreshed mind and body. The studio is small but cozy, and you get a feel for a sense of community as the classes are a good mix of long-time veterans and first-time drop-ins. I've also taken some classes at the Yoga Room which is an amazing facility in one of the converted Little Italy school-houses, but the quality and the level of detail of teaching at Green Tara in one of Karen's classes is unmatched. I've only ever done Iyengar yoga (minus the yoga class I went to at a 24hr Fitness once, which was so UNNATURAL and weird), so I can't compare it to any of the other yogas, but the perfectionist in me loves the slower pace and an almost cerebral emphasis on form. I have been to other yoga places, most recently the place on W. 25th St. in Ohio City. Green Tara Yoga is the best experience I have had by far. If you are a teenager or a cheerleader, or want to listen to calming nature sounds and smell incense, you should not come here. But if you honestly want and need to feel better--if you have body aches and want a place that takes these issues seriously, Green Tara is your place. Karen took me and my issues seriously and she knew what she was doing. This woman is an expert. I thought I'd try it for one night, and ended up signing up for eight classes this evening. BOOKING CLASSES -- Use their website. I had a ClassPass membership back then so I used my ClassPass credits to book the Reformer class. As of the writing of this review, in July 2026, BeFitness is no longer on ClassPass so guests will need to buy a single class package or a membership directly from BeFitness. A friend told me that they got rid of their Class Pass contract a while ago now. (Side-note: ClassPass is an app that allows members to book classes at different fitness studios and have the option to also access gyms and spas across various cities). REFORMER CLASS -- Anyone that has done a Reformer class knows that it is challenging, especially at 5am. The instructor was good because she provided understandable cues of what to do for each move/exercise. The instructor was enthusiastic as well. Having now taken other Reformer Pilates classes at a different Pilates studio in Avon and Bay Village, I definitely do not think the Reformer Pilates class at Be Fitness was as hard as the others that I've taken elsewhere. Nonetheless, I still recommend BeFitness if you live in the area and are looking for a beginner and intermediate friendly class. The Reformer Pilates class that I took at a different studio was a more advanced class. TIP (Reformer Pilates) -- The good thing about Reformer Pilates is that you can always adjust the resistance straps to increase or decrease the amount of resistance (weight) that you are pulling. SERVICE -- I remember the check-in process being smooth when I entered and the front desk woman greeted me (she was also the instructor). Overall, I enjoyed the Reformer Pilates class. Similar to many fitness studios, they sometimes have deals/sales so join their email list or visit them on social media to stay informed with current discounts. But they hired one of the best Aerialist in the city and I wanted to resume my practice. In addition to restarting aerial myself, I decided to get my niece involved. The studio made it very confusing and did not communicate to me how to register my niece. This resulted in me receiving an email that my registration was canceled, and we missed class. To this day, I have not received any follow up communication from the studio and the instructor was let go. All of this leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I was going to wait until I ran out of class passes to post my review, but this has been on my mind for days. My niece was making great progress and looked forward to attending. Sadly, we will not be members anymore.
