There are benches, shelters and tables and they recently installed rest rooms and a water filling station. Oh yeah, plenty of trash cans over the course so please don't litter. The lake is scenic and there are many things to do and see around the park. One of the best features is the ability to camp wherever you want, unlike most festivals where you have to camp in line with everyone where they tell you to. Camping under the trees feels like a true camping experience and you can even have fires here. Water spigots are plentiful so getting water is a breeze. In the venue there's even a regular bathroom with flush toilets which is a really nice touch. I've been here for two events: tipper and friends as well as Hulaween. I love this place so much I can't wait to come back again

Located in Live Oak, way down upon the Suwannee river, the crown gem of this park has to be their natural amphitheater stage built right into the woods. It's a sight you have to see to truly believe, but since I'm writing a review, I'll try to paint you a picture. Imagine you're standing in a forest that starts to dip low, like shallow bowl. Follow wooden steps down to the center, through the trees, to a clearing where hundreds of people are gathered, waiting. Suddenly.. LIGHTS! MUSIC! Yellow, purple, blue and red shoot out and spread wide, illuminating the dark woods and filling the crowd with excitement as the music starts bouncing off the trees, reverberating back to the crowd and out to the furthest corner of the park. It's a concert like no other, and all who have experienced it become united by the memory. Festivals here go all night as attendees run around like kids on the loose until 5 am and later. Hop from stage to stage and see who's making sweet music, or romp around the campsites to see friends old and new. It's an adult playground made of nature; a blessing to enjoy. During the day, you can hang on the beach and swim in the river. If you're feeling brave go for the rope swing; just hold on to your tops ladies! :) I've never had the pleasure of camping at SOS on a non-festival weekend, but I can't imagine a place more peaceful. After attending six festivals here, I have to say I'm a lifelong fan. This is a must-see in the wild and wonderful state of Florida.

This is a fairly new and great little park on the side of Eustis where there isn't much in the way…read moreof recreational areas, except nearby Carver Park. A paved path surrounds a retention pond. The path is about a half-mile around, good for walking, of course, and even for biking. We live close to the park, so we ride it when we have less time to spare or as part of a longer ride. You will see long legged water birds there, and occasionally a small alligator, especially in winter when they like to float in the sun. So no swimming allowed! There are also exercise stations every fifty feet or so, and recently they added a set of 18 disc golf nets for tournament or individual play. Some are near the pond while other nets are in the nearby woods on paths. There is also a fine rest room building with plenty of parking next to it. I believe there are a couple of picnic tables near the rest room building, as well as benches on the trail. If you go there to walk your dog, I would suggest using a leash as sometimes a dog roaming free wanders around and you will want to be able to control your fur baby. You probably won't run into a kitten with a fish hook in its side as we did. But I can report a happy ending as the little rascal is the latest member of our cat family.

A Jacksonville Gem I've Loved for Years…read more As a Jacksonville native, Ed Austin Park has been one of those places I've enjoyed for as long as I can remember. It's one of the few parks in the city that truly offers something for everyone, and it's only gotten better over time. The walking trails are peaceful and well‑kept, the open fields are perfect for families and community events, and there's always some kind of activity happening. They've got great frisbee‑throwing areas, well‑maintained baseball fields, and plenty of space for casual sports or just relaxing outdoors. Every now and then, you'll even catch fireworks in the area, which adds a fun, unexpected touch to the atmosphere. I've always appreciated how clean, spacious, and welcoming it feels. Hogans Creek flows through the park and connects it to what will hopefully be Jacksonville's "Central Park" one day. Named for architect Henry John Klutho - a man that left his mark on Jacksonville - the park is a reminder & a vision for better times in this neighborhood. They've recently added a sculpture walkway as you enter the park - curated by a UNF sculpture professor and featuring some Jacksonville artists!

We are beginners so I can't give technical disc golf review. It was an enjoyable walk. Watch out for the treacherous vine roots. They'll trip you if you are not careful. My only complaint is the lack of a decent sign directing you to the start.
