Nothing to be proud of.. The place is a HAZARD.. your vehicle might get damaged just entering or you could get hurt when the guys are using torches to break off metal fragments and you get to inhale all that toxic dust because you cant move anywhere until its your turn...its disgusting.. the ground is littered with sharp fragments of metal and trash and the attendant makes you stand and take your drivers license and a photo like a criminal and then ushers you with a white piece of paper with you car info and you give it to some guy in a front loader that took another 30 minutes..but before that you go to the office with your little paper and drivers license and the lady behind the bars tells you give them your finger print like a criminal and you get treated like one too.. they "hold on to" your drivers license while you wait for the attendant to get the weigh in.. The guy working on my stuff did NOT care at all.. he took his time and you could tell they are all over worked and underpaid because the work ethic reflects it.. he let most of my cans fall to ground not getting accurate weight then did not even bother to weigh the tin...the weight was at least 20 lbs but when I went to get the payment, they cheated me and gave me a few dollars.. Not only do they get all your information they are NOT secure with it.. the lady had all these drivers licenses just laying on the counter and the cameras can capture that info and anyone can use it. The entire process for two bags of aluminum and tin took over an hour and half and felt like being herded in a cattle call.. never again.. they did not even pay the .85 a lb rate they mentioned. I think they are thieves and could treat their workers better. Loss of time and energy and do not recommend!

Everyone I spoke to was helpful, patient (I was a 1st timer) and spoke English (even the guys on the forklifts spoke enough English to communicate). Scrap at the south entrance, aluminum at the north. I took a trailer of mixed metals (tin, steel, aluminum) and believe that I got a fair price. The office where you get paid is too small so it was crowded and confusing -- you have to fill out a form, then go to one window to get your estimate, then go to a window on the other side to give your signature and thumb print so that you get paid. That was the worst part of the whole experience, but overall a better experience than I had hoped for. I will be a return customer.

Since the items required equipment to unload, my daughter and I were asked to wait In A separate area (still in clear view of my vehicle and trailer), signed a liability waiver, and 4 guys came and unloaded my trailer. The gentlemen were very nice and waived the $80 per hour labor fee since they were only here a minute, but there is also an option to tip, which I did since they waived labor fee. All in all, very expensive. I could have had the refridgerant removed for like $50 and had the city take it for free. Lesson learned.
