We were moving from a large house into an apartment, so we had a lot of stuff we wanted to get rid of. I made an appointment to have them come between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The showed up late, at about 9:30 PM, quoted me a really high price that we were willing to pay just to be done with our nightmare of a move. They then told me they couldn't do it that night and they couldn't do it the next day (the 31st, when we had to be out of the property) because they were already booked up. The minimum cost is $169.00 for an 1/8 of a truck load. I had a wine fridge and was going to throw in 2 club chairs that were in my garage just to make the minimum, but that put me in the next tier which was $200+, like expensive, so I didn't do it. The gentlemen were very nice and waived the $80 per hour labor fee since they were only here a minute, but there is also an option to tip, which I did since they waived labor fee. All in all, very expensive. I could have had the refridgerant removed for like $50 and had the city take it for free. Lesson learned. read more

Had a great experience with this group! The two men who arrived were friendly and efficient. They hauled away our old mattress and the whole process was quick and easy. We have never used a service like this before, but they came out with an hour or so of submitting the request online, showed me the pricing when they arrived, gave me a fair quite, loaded it up, took the payment and were on their way. I will definitely consider this again for things we can't donate or can't wait/don't think the trash men would haul away. read more

I had a crew here to clean out my garage. The crew did a good job. My issue us with office and billing. Crew charged me $800 for job which I paid on completion. When I received the receipt it included an additional $100 for removal of tractor tires. I live in city - no tractor - no tires. When I spoke to office he confirmed mistake with crew. Was very gracious and apologetic and said I'd get a refund. Did not happen. Very, very expensive service. read more

We have been trying to have someone come and take away 1 LARGE couch & 1 oversize loveseat. Not an easy task; most companies want an arm & a leg to just come and quote. My wife called 1-800 Got Junk; they came out on the same day she called. 2 young men came in, and evaluated the situation, quoted us a FAIR price, and worked very hard for well over an hour, removing the furniture, and cleaning up! 2 stars for service and efficiency but asked the price when they got here they said something like $380 and $419 after taxes based off what they saw. ended up paying $600 with all the "fees". i just paid it as i didn't want to fight but will NEVER be using this price gauging company again. vultures. read more

They called once to say they would be here in 45 mins, and was it OK the be 15 min's early. 15 minutes later they called to tell me they would not be able to make it until about 2:30. They refuse to give a quote before hand, and waste your time with calls. Next they called to see what was the matter, and I cancelled the job. read more

The removal staff were over 2 hours past the time on our 'window' to expect them; then they tried to charge us $650+ when we called the day prior the phone rep said it would be max $375. Instead of working with us, we had to have multiple back and forth conversations between the remover rep and his manager on why they couldn't do it for less than a '$35 credit' off the new $650+ before they agreed to do it for $400. The delay of waiting on them to get there also delayed us being able to make it to a donation center in time to donate our reusable items. Would not recommend on multiple fronts. Would give zero stars if that was an option. read more

Man, I'm really split on this rating and probably won't be calling them again for service. Extra stars for showing up on time but I couldn't see a price beforehand to pick up my 50" tv (they have to be recycled). When they got here they quoted 59.00 (huh?). I said no, and even stated that Bestbuy will do it for 29.00 and they said "well, we can do it for $25". Just give me the real price beforehand. Lastly, I hate it that everything comes with a tip now. I was shocked when the phone was turned to me and it said "how much do you want to tip your drivers". You feel so obligated at that point since they are right there. I really ended up not saving anything after tip and it would have been easier just taking it to BestBuy. read more

This is the 2nd time I've used 1-800-Got-Junk. I made my appointment this morning around 10:ish for the 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm window to get one full size bed & box spring w/metal frame and two clunky end tables disposed of. Alec and Xavian called around 3:45 and arrived around 4:15. It was very quick and they were very professional and polite. Yes, I could have called my city (GP) for bulk pickup for free, but then I would have had to haul out the same things from my house to the curb, and that hassle wasn't worth free. $185 plus $25 mattress recycling fee (had no idea you could recycle the components of old mattresses) was Well Worth It for same-day no-hassle no-worry service! If I need anything else bulky disposed of, I will call again! read more

Excellent service and extremely efficient. I had a last min spring cleaning happening where I ended up throwing away some old furniture (bedroom set) that was still in good shape. Called these guys in the morning (9am) and by mid-morning (10:30a) had two gentlemen come by and provide me estimate. The estimate was a bit higher than I wanted it to be but considering how efficient these guys were - I looked past the cost. Both Kyler and Reggie were extremely professional, organized and self aware- they made sure to take their shoes off when walking in the house and ensured no scratches against the walls or staircase as they carried the furniture away. A big WOW and Awesome kudos for those guys. Summary - all in all - great, fast, friendly service - a bit high in price but imo the service and professional courtesy makes up for it. -------- Update on review! If I could give these people less than one star I would. I have a storage in Ft Worth that I have been paying on for several years even though I no longer live in the state. My wife got in touch with these people to make arrangements for them to meet us at the storage to clean it out. We made arrangements to fly to Texas and rent a car and hotel room for a few days to get this cleaned out. It cost me over 3000 dollars to kennel my dogs and make this trip. Once we arrive at the storage two guys from this company came out and quoted us a price of 0ver 800 dollars plus to clean out a small storage. I declined this service. This was about three or four times what they told us before we made the trip. I could have paid this amount but I did not appreciate the lies and deception. This was no where near the original price. These people are liars. I would never recommend this shady service. read more

If you have a tight time schedule (I was moving from an apartment complex that did not allow use of their dumpster or city pick-up), do not bother with them. When they got to my house, they told me "mam if we take this load today then we can't grab the next 2 appointments because our truck is too full, so we have to reschedule you." TERRIBLE BUSINESS. We were contacted the next day and offered earlier service as our team had cancellations. Chancey and Kristoff were friendly and very efficient! They did in minutes what would have taken us days. Let's just start by saying these people are crooks. The guys that showed up asked me what my budget was before even looking at my trash. I got quoted $1,800 for half a living room of bagged trash. Said he needed 3 trucks! Lol.. ( all the trash could have fit in my truck) then after I said no freaking way, that's more than my rent!! Worst customer service experience ever. The guy that showed up arrived with a truck that was half full. He looked at our items (the amount of items, types of items and details were all provided to the company at the time of our booking. The guy looked everything over then said that the second truck (we booked two) was also almost full so he asked if they could get a few of the boxes today and then come back later in the week. We said no, we discussed all of this at the time we booked and said we weren't going to take a day off work since they required someone be home during the process. (I want to stress, the young guy who arrived wasn't at fault, he was on the phone with his manager, Jason, relaying messages.) The manager told him to put it on speaking phone and then said, we're sorry, but you'll just need to take a day off work. This was a waste of time. We described the items we needed to dispose and the size (2-car garage full- which it wasn't quite), and we were told the maximum amount would be $598. We had to wait for the onsite meeting to determine the exact amount. The drivers said it would be two trucks (=$1,196), which was twice the max quote we were given. I explained the volume of the trash on the phone to have an understanding of price range prior to scheduling a meeting. The person on the phone was insistent on getting an appointment, disregarding what I explained on volume. I was later told by customer service the phone operators cannot provide quotes - if that were the case, he should not have offered a maximum, only a minimum. At least the onsite quote was no charge for the appointment. For our situation, a garage full of junk and carpet after a tenant moved out, it was a waste of time to wait for the appointment, never mind 45 minutes to and from the property for the appointment. read more

Pretty disappointed... We called on Saturday to have some construction trash (2x4's, sheet rock, cabinets) removed. Were told it would be, at most $600. They show up to give a quote, yesterday, and said it would be $1226. Today, they showed up to remove the trash and told us it would be $1630. We cancelled their service because that is shady. Called to have a king size bed picked up. The bed and box spring ONLY! They should warned me about the cost. $427.00 ... It was a ground level apartment next to the parking lot. They said since it took up half of the small truck they brought is why it was so much. I just thought this was ridiculous. I had 27 large moving boxes, 2 wardrobe boxes, 2 night stands, large dresser, 4 side chairs, and some miscellaneous items.
