Have had to visit Northstate Cardiology on quite a few occasions. Only one interaction was satisfactory. Dr. is very dismissive of prior diagnoses from other hospitals. She walked into the room saying I don't think you have "this." This was despite the fact that extensive testing had been done elsewhere. She did not touch me during my visit yet my chart reflects that the contrary. I had to have a holter monitor test. They did not approve it with insurance first and I received a bill for $900! Overall poor care and no help. I saw a PA on one of the visits. She has absolutely no training in Cardiology having worked in women's health previously. read more

This is a horrible place !!!! My son went there after having a major event in another country and was told he would see a doctor, but instead was seen by a PA that told him he had nothing wrong with him. He was then scheduled for an event monitor and a few days later EKG then follow up with the doctor. He was scheduled for the EKG and went in with the monitor on and was told he couldn't have the test with the monitor still on. It had been 2 months since the initial visit. I called to ask if his appt could be moved up due to all the chest pain he was having and was told No. On the morning of his appointment. My son was told I could not come to his appointment with him which again was scheduled with a PA not doctor. I have worked with 2 Cardiologists in the past and NO office can ever turn away family !!! The errors with his care was awful and office experience worse. I know for a fact with my 35 years experience in the medical field that everything he went through was WRONG !!!! Hopefully by being consumed by Enloe they maybe able to get rid of the staff and make it a better place for the people that live in Chico read more

Went in for a clearance I needed for surgery and Dr. Wolve was really attentive and super nice . The nurse who did my EKG was very kind and gentle , the only thing is the front receptionist on the left hand side seemed kinda rude . All I had for identification was my passport since my ID was stolen and I've been waiting for a replacement and she very rudely said "oh I'm not scanning that" , it's a legal document I would hope she would have , I get it probably not a huge deal , but it legit cost nothing to be kind to others . The one when you walk in towards the right side is super nice but the other receptionist did not pass the vibe test at all ! Over all there kind hearted people . Love the relationships the Dr.'s have with their patients you can tell they take pride in what they do :) that was my only complaint. read more

Dr Prince seemed rushed and dismissive during my appointment. I felt as though she wasn't taking my symptoms seriously (chest pain, tachycardia & sudden onset hypertension). Then during my stress test she acknowledged that my heart rate went up too fast but she claimed that I was probably just out of shape. The one test that I really needed (a tilt table test) she said was outdated and not used anymore. Wrong!!! I decided to go to UC Davis instead. They gave me the test that I needed and I got my diagnosis on my first visit- Dysautonomia/Hyperandronergic POTS. I will never recommend Dr Prince to anyone... she is a negligent physician. read more

Think meat market and go else ware. First visit was a 10 minute chat, no exam. Then I had $3,000 worth of lab tests that they had no record of, but ordered. I received them from the lab later. Came back (60 minute drive) for echo cardio gram. Never saw the doctor. When I tried to make an appointment to get results of all the tests, I was told " we will call you if anything is wrong." As a RN of 35 years, this is not good medical care and will look elsewhere for mine. read more

Today was the worse treatment I ever received as a patient at any clinic or doctor's office. After waiting 6 months for my appointment for chest pain( I was a prior patient but because I had not been there for 3 years I was classified as a new patient so I had to wait despite my symptoms. I was advised by NCC staff to get as many tests done as I could so during the wait time I had received diagnostics at Feather River and Enloe by my primary care doctor and by seeing an Enloe cardiologist because my symptoms were worsening. The Enloe cardiologist ordered an angiogram which was done on 4/2/18 at Enloe. I was ready to meet my new doctor and discuss my treatment options for my symptoms. The nursing staff was great, very kind and efficient but the woman PA came in and started grilling me as to why I was there and not following up with the Enloe doctor. This woman was as cold as ice, distant and uncaring as I explained how i had done everything i could to take care of myself to get to this appointment. She had already made up her mind I was a histrionic hypochondriac. After listening impassively to my explanation, she listened to my chest and said Dr. Wolk would be right in.. Maybe 10 minutes later, my door was cracked opened and I could hear her discussing me with a male which I assume was Dr. Wolk. I heard her say something about being having to be a bitch to me and then she came in alone and said she was phoning in a script for new blood pressure medicine and to meet her up front. There was No explanation as to why I did not get to speak to the doctor or he did not examine me. She walked away from me half way to the door and did not say another word, not goodbye, not thank you, nothing. I stood at the counter waiting for my paperwork I felt completely shunned and discounted. I was so upset and humiliated by the PA and ultimately the doctors treatment of me and my concerns. I will be lodging a formal complaint. Terrible treatment. I will be going to a real practice in Sacramento. It is a shame to treat people like I was treated. read more

After spending the night in the hospital because of a TIA ( very scary episode) I made a appointment at Northstate cardiology with Dr.Prince. The hospital wanted me to wear a heart monitor for 14 days and they set me up with one. They booked me out 2 month's to see Dr Prince. When I went to the appointment Dr Prince came in wearing a dress that was so short I saw her underwear as she sat on the exam table. She told me all results were fine and when I mentioned that while wearing the monitor I had a lot of irregular heartbeats that took my breath away. She told me they were premature beats and that they were nothing. I mentioned I had been diagnosed with MVP , she then said oh you don't have that,they over diagnosed that back then. When I questioned why I had a TIA she said we all have plaque and some probably dislodged causing it. She was dismissive and uncaring and did not take anything I had to say seriously but told me to come back in 3 months. No thank you, I'll take my chances with "plaque" dislodging and save my money and time. read more

My first treadmill was seven years ago; age 70. NCC seemed efficient, but was not particularly friendly, and was jammed with patients. The two techs that administered my test were abrupt, and very impersonal; I had the feeling that they were poss. over-worked and unnecessarily hurried. I didn't get the feeling that they cared much for old people; curt, no eye-contact, no help with knowing where to go, what to do. My test wasn't particularly great, and I got the impression that the the two men's attitude was 'what did you expect; you're ancient and obviously overweight (about 15 lbs. by my MD), and lotsa luck! Since we have been going there the past several years my husband has had a new and different doctor every year. It's hard to establish a good repor with your doctor if he or she changes regularly. He likes most of them and they were ok. The surgeon of 6 years ago was great. Long gone. He really liked Dr Alonzo we found were she moved to and followed her to that location. She listened to Nob and respected his opinion and heard what he was saying. I will give her 5 stars and 10 if I could. Glad we found her. read more

Had a really bad experience with my prior cardiologist there. Enloe doesn't work with them directly, so I was told to call the manager (Melissa) and file a complaint as a grievance cannot be filed through Enloe Medical Center. Just went ahead and did that and all that is being done about a legitimate issue is that they are putting that I was unhappy with that visit/provider. It is upsetting and frustrating, I would go to a different office if my insurance would cover it. read more

I have been a patient for six years, had quadruple bypass and I am dissatisfied with current service. After passing of Dr Moore the place has gone downhill. I will no longer have anything to do with this office. receptionist are less than satisfactory. I will find another cardiologist and recommend you do the same read more

Dr. Yhip is a gem. His office staff lacks professionalism. They are rude and insolent when dealing with patients and their families. They need to realize, without patients, you wouldn't have a friggin' job. Get over yourselves, you're office staff, not doctors. If you want to be the doctor, go back to school. Went to see the cardiologist and had a nurse practitioner ask me all the questions, then the cardiologist came in took his stethescope and listened at just one point on my chest. The dr asked me one question looked at the nurse and left. What the heck. Told the nurse practitioner that I was moving out of town, trying to sell and get an apt and I was very stressed. This young gal told me she had just moved and her blood pressure wasn't high. Well excuse me I'm probably 50 years older than she is and I'm stressed about a few things. Not happy with them at all. The front desk was very nice. read more
