Subject: Discrepancy in Vehicle Features/Online Advertising…read moreDear Phil Spady, I am writing to again bring a significant discrepancy to your attention regarding the 2017 Prius listed on your website. The listing explicitly states the vehicle includes Heated front seats; Power driver seat; and other features of a prius level Four, however, I confirmed it is not equipped with these features. (The sticker in the glove box lists it as a Level Three) These were primary factors in my purchase. Please let me know how you intend to return the vehicle or if you have an identical model available that truly matches the advertised description. Regards, James Bell

They also quickly tried to sell different packages that we declined. It had also supposedly been detailed. Worse detail job I had seen. Dog hair everywhere in between seats etc and tons of broken glass was discovered in the spare tire tool compartment in the cargo area after we got home. Then we've had broken glass show up constantly ever since from what appears to be the back window being broke out at some point that was unbeknownst to us. Not impressed with the service department. We purchased our vehicle here and of course were heavily sold on the fact that their service department was amazing and that we needed to purchase the extended warranty. It was winter when we purchased the vehicle (don't normally use windows) - we noticed a while later that when we went to use the front door windows that they were extremely slow - when it was really cold the passenger one wouldn't roll up at all (it would roll down but not back up). So I took the vehicle to our local Ford dealer (we're a little over 2 hours from Yankton) - they were great - looked into it and contacted the warranty place, submitted video etc but unfortunately the warranty company (the great warranty we got sold) wouldn't cover it because they hadn't completely stopped working! Our local dealer DIDN'T CHARGE US ANYTHING to check the windows or for going back and forth with the warranty company. Fast forward a couple months - we were planning on being in Yankton for a week so I thought I would have the dealer where we bought the vehicle and the warranty look in to it. The vehicle also needed an oil change so I scheduled that also - including a tire rotation. Go to pick up the vehicle - get told the tech couldn't find anything wrong with the windows, get CHARGED $99 for that (which I'm sure was just him rolling them up and down a couple times!!), and my tires didn't get rotated. All it said was the tech didn't think they needed rotated. No phone call asking if we still wanted them rotated (which we would have)!

BATE, LIES, AND INCOMPETENCE from sales manager JASON BARR at the Lennox SD location. (LEMON -…read moreWhite 2012 Prius V Five - VIN JTDZN3EU8C3031943). Read on to hear our experience. BATE - We worked with a nice salesman who was lovely. He even sent us nice places to eat in the area since we were from out of town. We drove 5 hours from the twin cities to look at a car that was a great deal for the year and miles. We were assured it was in great condition and that the salesman could not find anything wrong with it. He even sweetly offered a small discount because I am a teacher. I was excited to buy my wife a nice car. LIES - upon arriving, I immediately noticed countless small rust spots along the entire passenger side of the car that did not appear in the photos. Not only on the passenger side, but also on the front, inside the doors etc. The nice salesman was clearly new and incompetent, so went to get his manager Jason Barr. Jason then proceeded to downplay the situation and tell us "all cars in Minnesota are like that" (not true), "clay bar" solution could fix it (temporarily), and that even our car had rust (ours has 200k miles with two dots, not the same). Basically all around sleazy sales tactics. Luckily I have a friend who owns an auto body shop, called him, and he told me to run as far away as I could. The salesman was clearly lying, it was always going to be an issue and would get worse. INCOMPETENCE - After we clearly said, "no", all the pressure and lying stopped and Jason was suddenly very apologetic and kind. We had put $2500 down on our credit card as a down payment to hold it until the weekend when we could drive down. Instead of refunding our money, he instead put an additional $2500 on our credit card! It took half a week to get all our money back while they maxed out our credit card. He clearly wanted to avoid this negative review so he offered us gift cards to a place that was closed and to another that was only good in Sioux Falls. Smooth. LESSON - they might have a car you want to buy. Get it checked out by a mechanic and don't trust ANYTHING they say. Also, they probably found a way to hide all the rust on this car so they can sucker someone else into buying it. I hope you read this post before you do.

I placed three separate phone calls wanting specifics on vehicle to make sure car was worth looking at knowing the distance and none of these problems were mentioned. Car was not disclosed properly. No return call to sales management after messages left. Had to call owner to get resolution and those calls faded with no resolution.

I asked mark about it and he assured me it was residual oil from having it serviced and he would have them wash it down. I agree, buy the car and let than 6 months later massive coolant leak. I take it in and a shop quotes me 4k for oil leak and new radiator. I spend about another 2 grand on oil, wipers, tires, and what not. Last month the ac stopped working and the last week the air suspension craps out. I take it in and ask if they could tell me what's going on with the suspension. Brice agrees and I get a call with a quote of over 14k worth of repairs. I talk with Mark and explain what's going on and he says that I bought it "as is". I drive to get my jeep from SF and when I get there brice tells me it will be $200 for get my car back and I tell him he never told me I would have to pay 200 and I couldn't until Friday.
