I had a colonoscopy at Oro Valley Hospital. The procedure was done by Dr. Michelle Dodman. I was relieved that all went so well. The staff at the OV Hospital were all great. Special thanks to Tori, Sammy, Kelly V. RN, Luke, and Anesthesiologist Mutnele. Also, staff at Dr. Dodman's office, Tricia, Assistant Barbara, and of course Dr. Dodman. Dr, Dodman was so patient and kind to me. She walked into the procedure room with a big smile on her face and just made me very comfortable. Doctor turnover is frequent. Scheduling is difficult. You'll be rushed through appointments. They do not have time to really listen. I am looking for a PCP for the fourth time due to turnover. It must be a dreadful organization to work for. read more

The Drs and Nurses are fine. It's the incompetent management that needs to be fired. They go through Drs who can't stand working for them. Mandating 15 minute appointments so they can make more money! STAY AWAY. I don't even grove them one star. Should be minus 10. They make me puke and vomit. Please do not go here. Dr. Dodman is one of the worst, if not the worse doctor's we have ever had the displeasure to see. She was rude, unprofessional, condescending and inept. I wrote a letter of complaint to the head of Oro Valley Hospital and the GI practice and received a letter in return basically saying they will take my review under consideration which meant nothing, as it appears she is still practicing there. I was very disappointed with my appointment and first visit with Dr. Michele Dodman. I would not recommend her. I am new to the area and was referred by my primary care doctor to establish a new relationship with a gastroenterologist. The first thing she said when she came into the room was, "I don't know why you are here and seeing you is a waste of my time.". I was flabbergasted! I explained I had been referred to her to establish a new patient relationship and she told me that seeing her was a waste because she didn't have my past several years' of records. I told her they were sent two weeks prior to my primary care physician and she told me that I should not have done that, it was my responsibility to get a hard copy and hand-carry them into her office! Apparently she and her staff are not able to use computers! She lectured me about the size of the colon, how much water I drank and said my prior colonoscopies were not accurate. She said the chronic condition I have is not something I should have for my lifetime! She wanted me to take a test and I left soon after and will not be returning! read more

I had a first time visit with Dr. Dodman, needless to say, it will be my last! I am again on the search for a doc who actually cares about their patients! The doc specializes in gastroenterology, she came in the room, with her mask below her nose, then proceeded to berede me about my religious choice not to get the covid vaccine. Then she advised me that she would do nothing for me. she wanted my medical records first. I get that, but I had the appointment booked for 8 weeks, had I known that she wanted them prior to treating me, I would have had them. Though nothing was said to me when I scheduled my first appointment! I've had other physicians who either preferred to run their own test or would have me sign requests they would send to my previous physicians. It was worse than the experience I had with my two previous docs Dr. Peterson from Adobe Gastro who told me "by law I had to submit to a procedure with in 30 days of my doc visit" OR my last visit with Dr. Taliban from Banner who shushed me for attempting to express to him that I had no plans of getting a vaccine that was not FDA approved (at the time) by religious choice. Which she acted like I was not being honest about my previous issues. Be ware who you ask for do research for your medical care, be informed and knowledgeable. read more

My husband and I had a first time visit with Dr Dodman and experienced the same exact thing as Wendy R,no records yet appointment booked months in advance with a referral. She offered basic solutions to a complex problem and was argumentative and challenging,very upsetting to a person already experiencing enough symptoms to go to a specialist. read more

GREAT care--VERY POOR billing practices. Was sent ONE bill and a year later I was turned over to a collection agency. Would a follow up bill or reminder call been that expensive for Northwest Allied? When a bill is turned over to a collection agency, it is done so at a very discounted rate, which means Northwest Allied lost money here. For the price of one phone call they could have received the entire balance directly from me. No wonder healthcare costs keep going up. read more

Do not allow Corbin Ballan to be your primary care physician. He has no concept of what a doctor is. He hides behind his laptop reading to you rather than listening and being a provider. Went to see him for the last time with a cactus thorn in my thumb causing an open wound. He looked at it from six inches away and stated he could not see anything and I should see a "skin" doctor. Then to his laptop to talk about blood pressure. I am now going to urgent care. Please look for a qualified physician. read more

Northwest Allied Physicians have some great Doctors, but as an organization they need to go back to the drawing board. Inefficient, overstaffed with unqualified people doing nothing, never answer their phone or return calls. I had a primary care physician years ago who had a staff of 3. She was very good, but felt overwhelmed by paperwork, etc. She finally closed her office and went wit NW Allied Physicians. Almost immediately she was in an office overloaded with staff, who spent more time talking to each other than doing their work. The phones were basically shut off to patients. They never returned calls. They even had an office manager. In the end there were more staff per Dr. than before she joined. They were so inefficient she ended up calling me in the evenings just so I would get a timely response. She was conscientious. In the end she quit. I have been through 3 other Dr's since and they have all ended up quitting. They have a voice answering system that is a joke. I can't count the number of times I have been i an office when none of the computers are working. The "organization" not the Doctors, treat patients like dirt! read more
