HOWEVER; I unfortunately suffered from a dental emergency and needed 3 root canals or extractions. I was in extreme pain, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, and had never been to another Dentist. I had an appointment booked and they gave me some freezing to help with the pain. Unfortunately since I hadn't slept in weeks I slept through the appointment (with all the other pain medication i took i was out cold). They refuse to accept me as a client now. - bc I missed one appointment (kind of understandable though and would have paid their cancelation fee or missed appointment charge or whatever it was they want to charge) but of coarse now they have tossed aside one of Dr. HITZOU'S favorite patients. I'm extremely disappointed, and was taking my daughter to the office also, but now I'll be going elsewhere. I found this very disrespectful - especially for a very loyal and long term patient of Dr. HITZOU. I don't feel like anyone in the office cared at all about my health, or about my teeth. I also don't feel like I was treated professionally. I dont think that they even bothered to try and accommodate me. I think they could have been a little more empathetic and a lot more understanding. I think with all the years I had been coming to that office - they certainly didn't appreciate me as a client the way Dr. Hitzou always did. Im never one to look for pity, and I'm not one to make excuses. But this has made me realize just how greedy, and selfish some people really are. I'm very let down, and STILL haven't had my teeth fixed.

We were going by the clinic so we stopped in to ask if anyone was available to do the work that day. Amber was at the front desk and she was excellent. She made an appointment for that afternoon and gave us some dental cement to help us in the meantime. Fortunately we were able to put the crown back on ourselves and cancelled the appointment and made one at my own dentist for when we got home. On a side note, there were a lovely lady in the reception area who overheard our problem and graciously said she would rebook her appointment so we could take her place. I do love the people in SK.

My family has been going to enhance for many years, unfortunately I don't feel the service is as good as it used to be. I called and made an appointment in Aug because I thought I felt a tooth break while eating and a week later had really bad tooth pain. I explained all of this to reception, so when I went in for my appointment I assumed they would fix the tooth. I was wrong. I was given X-rays and a lecture on proper care, I was given a 'plan' to showing all the teeth they figured needed to be fixed. One of which was not the tooth I thought the pin was coming from. I was mislead into believing that there were three fillings and a root canal to be done on one side, so I booked an appointment for the fillings. When I went in for the fillings, the girl who put in the freezing needles was inexperienced and unsupervised. Unfortunately I felt every needle prick and move while she was inserting the freezing. Then the dentist came and she guilted me the whole time about flossing. A few days later I was still in a lot of pain, it actually felt worse, so I called and asked them to look at the work. I was fortunate to get in right away and seen a different dentist. He told filled a cavity that had been left as a hole in the side of the tooth that the previous dentist had filled, and checked the tooth that I felt the pain was coming from. Again I was told there was a root canal needing to be done and that there was one other tooth that may need a root canal in the future. After healing from the needle holes, I noticed I still had the initial tooth pain and throbbing so I made an appointment to do the root canal. (Insurance maxed out by this point so this was coming out of my pocket). I get in and see another dentist (owner) who tells me I need more fillings and another root canal done, I told them they did the fillings already and so he had a dental assistant explain to me things I apparently had already been told - but I had not been told about the additional fillings they seen needing to be done on that side of my mouth. Thankfully, the root canal went well and seems to have healed, but I will be going to a dentist who listens in the future. It seems one of the fillings needing to be done is on the tooth that has been aching for almost three months now. I'm sad that I had this experience, but I don't feel I can continue to go here any longer. (Also, no direct billing or payment plans avail unless you pay in advance and have a credit on the account).

My dad was having some difficulties and the fit him in which was nice, also did his ECHO at the same time as office visit, saving us a trip. ```` Negative, the tech performing the ECHO was rude and unaccommodating. My dad has dementia and would have been extremely co-operative with her if I could have stayed in the room during the ULTRASOUND. (no reason not to let me stay, not an surgical procedure, it an ultrasound--plenty of space in room for more than one person to accompany patient) About 10 minutes after I was kicked out of room I hear her loudly CHASTISING my 85 year old father with dementia for resting his hand on her arm. His hand was cold and he was trying to warm it up. There was a waiting room full of people who could here, and very unprofessional behavior on her part. When I heard this going on I just entered the room and stayed, she did not remove me but this unprofessional behaviour was horrible.```````Due to the shortage of specialists in the city this will not have a negative effect on the bottom line for this physician. (patient volume--$$) but wanted to point this out for people who have a choice of who to see.

He is a great dude with positive attitude and really helped me feel better from serious pain. I had one adjustment with him a few days ago and even did a float. A "float" is a salt tank with heavy amount of epson salt and your body floats and heals while you cognitively drift into the "before sleep" stage. I would highly recommend this place and small business. The decor is hip, vintage, and cool. Waiting room has really cool classic movies on and a nice beverage selection accompanied by cozy chairs.
