I noticed I got 1 wart on the bottom of my left foot and 2 warts on the bottom of my right foot…read more The 1 wart on my left foot started paining so I decided to stop by the Chicago Foot Care Clinic and have Dr. Thimesch check them out. This practice does not accept Medicaid and unfortunately that is the medical coverage I currently have so I had to pay from my pocket for my treatment. For the initial consult I paid $150 where Dr. Thimesch looked at the warts and explained what they were and the fact that they have to be removed via laser treatment. A week later the staff of Dr. Thimesch got me on the schedule for laser treatment. On the day of the laser treatment I paid $525 and was called in shortly to receive anesthesia via a syringe around the warts so my feet would temporary loose sensation for the laser treatment. The Anesthesia Injections were painful - my left wart area needed anesthesia more than the right side due to the location of the wart. The treatment went smoothly and my wounds are in the healing process - Dr. Thimesch and his team did a great job! After the surgery the staff wrapped my feet up and dressed the wounds with the medical socks for easier management of the wounds. I was told not to shower, stay off my feet as much as possible and the possibility of the wounds bleeding due to the depth of the incisions. About 24 hours later I have had very minimum pain thanks to the antibiotic which was prescribed by Dr. Thimesch and Tylenol. Dr. Thimesch called me yesterday as well to follow up which was nice and to see if I have any questions - great customer care! This morning the staff called me as well to see how I was doing as well! Very amazing customer service from the Doctor and his staff. I have my follow ups for the next 6-8 weeks so Dr. Thimesch can clean my wounds and make sure my wounds are healing well. Definitely recommend this clinic to all Chicago Public for amazing care and service. 5/5

He was (and is) kind, knowledgeable, and skilled. All aspects of my treatment were thoroughly explained to me, and the office staff was pleasant, efficient, and helpful. Then things changed, more than the treatment David had been receiving for 2 years. The previous doctors took a wait and see what happens attitude. Dr Kalk immediately assessed the situation and began treatment that has solved the problem. Office visits are always friendly and helpful. The staff at his office is terrific. Knowledgeable and friendly. David has also recently had some skin cancer removed from his head leaving a large wound. Every time we have seen Dr Kalk, weekly since David's hospitalization, Dr Kalk inquires about the head wound and looks at it. The last time David was seen at the Northwestern Hospital dermatology surgery clinic, we were told to come back in three months. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Kalk except that I wish we would have found him 2.5 years ago. I sincerely doubt that David would have undergone the two years of trouble he had before meeting Dr Kalk, maybe not the 2 surgeries he had, and the 2 emergency hospitalizations for sepsis that almost killed David. From the initial call with the receptionist Vicki who was very thorough polite attentive and knowledgeable the friendly receptionist who greeted me upon arrival and Dr Forni himself everyone really made me feel good about going to the Dr. This practice was night and day compared to other medical specialists I have been to lately. I'm so tired of going to physicians and getting five to ten minutes of a specialists time being treated rude and like the provider is doing me a favor. I can't tell you how often I've thought how can a person who has to be making 300k plus and is their own boss be so miserable . Dr Forni is not that type of Dr he spent over and hour thoroughly examining talking to and explaining things to me. He seems a genuinely happy down to earth professional with a wonderful personality.
