My sister booked an intensive course and after a short amount of time, took her test and passed. They only let you do 3 hours lessons at a time as it is a lot to take in but they explain things really easily and keep you calm when you stall in the middle of a large junction etc. My sister, although passing is still a pretty awful driver so she's going to book one of their refresher courses soon.

I would like to tell you about my experiences as a student and learning the BAST way. As sound therapy goes, there is a growing pond of training providers out there that teach sound therapy/ sound healing over a weekend. This is something that certainly cannot be done with a course of this nature. The BAST way is the the right way to teach sound therapy, not only are you learning to play new instruments that you would require in a sound therapy session you are learning the fundamentals as to why we play the instruments that way and the effects it has on the person recieving the treatment. The BAST team are so incredibly passionate about sound therapy and it being delivered safely and efficiently and that is why the training takes longer than a most. The course is value for money and not only gives you and week of intense learning, you have an online portal for all your learning materials and coursework submission. The teachers are always available via email and even phonecall if you feel you need further support. In my eyes The BAST way is the only way to learn sound therapy and so much research has been poured into the BAST methods, you only have to look online at some of the newspaper articles that BAST has been named in and how effective BAST method sound therapy is. Yes it is an investment to set up with all your Instruments, but for people wanting to do sound therapy professionally you have to expect to pay for quality instruments and the course is a quality course that offers you life time support in your business as a sound therapist. I would absolutely recommend The British association of sound therapy to anybody who is looking at training in the field.

It always has achieved well compared to other schools in the surrounding area with P.C.C. being the normal secondary school to attend which enables many people to keep friends for life. 2 of my best friends still, I met at Mile Oak. They do so much each year with some type of pantomime performance being the highlight. My brother was involved in the Pied Piper of Hamlet Performance whilst I was involved in Oliver and Joseph and the technicoloured dream coat. My mum has these videos now. The balanced teaching here which is in line with the curriculum gives young people a good chance to start their own path in life. I have ended up at university and am the 1st person in my family to do so. The school football team is always competing to win the leagues. Each year 2 of the best players are chosen to trial out for Brighton Schools Boys who play other counties.

In the early years I had a few fall…read moreouts with certain teachers as I was immature and didn't have enough respect for certain member of staff. However, later on during GCSE's, when I really needed help in my studies and personal life the very same teachers were the ones who were most approachable for help and support. I can not comment on all the staff but there are numerous teachers that have been there over 2 decades! I stayed on for college as the teachers I knew I would get I had a lot of respect for. With many courses for adults running in the evenings this is essential for the community and great if you want to do something different in the evenings and want to get some type of qualification.

Its on the 1 bus route and the principal of the Adult Education bit is making a lot of progress after years of LEA neglect (fair comment). I went to Yoga class and its was staffed by an excellent teacher and the hall was fine, it did not have a swanky cafe but the course was good quality and the staff at the centre friendly. It is in a school but I say give it a try and they are trying to do things for the community. They have also taken over Foredown tower and that is set to become an activities centre for Education. All the political parties have done over the last twenty years is inflict their weird policies on Hove/Portslade either to chop the Carnegie funded library, make all the secondary schools sink schools or not provide enough primary places. The Ron Aldridge foundation have put money in and want whats best for the people and parents in Portslade/Hove not petty provincial failed politics. Worth a try for basic evening classes and basic fitness. 1 Bus or car its possible to park locally and maybe on site in the evenings. There is a bar (untested) for sports club members. The site also integrates the local branch library and there are plans to re-develop the school, which with better sports facilities should be a winner. Well done to the staff and principals!
