I'd be happy to pay their hourly fee." I booked both of our cleaning appointments with Patrice (owner) in October. I solidified everything two days prior via a text and phone call. The first job was to simply help with some deep cleaning of the house we were moving into. Lauren and Kenny showed up, on time, and did a fantastic job. They personally receive 5 stars from me! ***I would hire them again in a heartbeat...if they were NOT affiliated with Maid in Whidbey*** The second job, helping to provide a lite cleaning of the house we moved out of, is where Maid in Whidbey completely let my family and me down. Our appointment was scheduled for 10:00am on Sunday, November 5th. At 9:45am I got a text from Patrice asking "how flexible" my schedule was because they were running behind. Changing the time wasn't an issue, so we re-scheduled for later that day (1:00pm). At 12:50pm I received a phone call from Patrice stating that they weren't going to be able to come at all that day because they were so far behind. Not wanting to completely cancel, we once again rescheduled; Monday morning at 8:00am. Now, normally I wouldn't mind nor stress about the rescheduling, however, our move out inspection was scheduled for that day at 3:00pm. My husband arrived at our old house at 7:45am, just in case they were a bit early. He was there until 11:00am cleaning by himself because MAID IN WHIDBEY FAILED TO SHOW UP AND PROVIDE THEIR SCHEDULED SERVICES. My husband and I called and text Patrice, to no avail. I reached out over Facebook Messenger and received no response. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt before posting this review, thinking maybe she would touch base and explain why she didn't show up. However, it's been 48 hours and we've heard nothing. I attached pictures of our final conversation. Patrice, you ended up being such a letdown. This meant leaving our new place largely unattended through the wet season. We had a post closing inspection that revealed gutters with big issues yet we weren't there to address the problem. After pestering a well reviewed service provider in Sequim who was backlogged with others needing help, he passed my info along to Dan at Clear and Clean. I've never been so thankful that I was passed over by a contractor!! (In fairness I'm so happy Dan took over my request and responded so promptly. Dan was able to get our job done promptly and without our being present. He sent pics of before and after and reconnected/repaired the gutters where needed. Thankfully we were buttoned up and good to go before the atmospheric rivers hit! Dan gave us tremendous peace of mind, reduced our risk of water damage considerably all at a very fair price. Next up were the windows this spring, inside and out with a last minute addition of a fairly sizeable pressure washing job that involved two sets of stairs as we're on a slope. As before Dan communicated thoroughly, arrives on time, worked efficiently and offered a very fair price. He was able to point out some issues our inspector missed as an added bonus. It just feels like Dan is more of a partner and advocate for us as we tackle our midmod restoration. Couldn't be happier!!
