The services are small and intimate with a great choir and pipe organ. The members range from 0-100 years in age and come from all walks of life. There is free child care during services. One of my favorite things about Crossroads is it's global involvement, ranging from Kiva loans to mission trips. The true spirit of volunteerism is apparent at the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, Haitian Health and many other local charities. Despite my not being of his typical community, he was welcoming and warm. He didn't even mind my asking him questions that challenged some things I believed. He was happy to answer, patient in listening, and kind in his response. I was happily surprised to learn how knowledgeable he was without being too preachy or judgmental. The church itself is beautiful with it's 13 pews on each side and well equipped for a lovely ceremony where everyone can hear and enjoy the ceremony. The woman (Tanya I believe?) who assisted along with it was wonderful as well. She was gentle but firm and did a great job orchestrating it.
