My daughter's first year in 6th grade went smoothly, with nice and helpful teachers. But as she transitioned into 7th grade it started to get horrendous. These teachers don't actually teach ANYTHING, all students are always on the Chromebooks and never get assigned any worksheets, or any real work, this specifically goes to all of the new teachers because all the old ones left. Lots of past teachers were leaving without anybody knowing why which made the learning for my daughter's second year drop. This school also does portfolio 6th-8th, but for my daughter's experience in 7th grade they had no portfolio help and the teachers were barely present. Beware, your children wont be learning in this school.

I work for the state and my coworkers told me about this place. after the first tour with the incredible director, I actually cried. this place was a breath of fresh air. it was so much better than my kid's previous daycare. the director was so loving to myself and my son. they have taken impeccable care of my son since the day he started. he struggled immensely over potty training at school. the director took so much time to work with my son one on one. she completely respected and saw what he needed to feel comfortable and made that happen. this school has a great app where pictures and notifications are constantly posted. they are always in communication about food that was or was not eaten, potty time, nap time, everything. and they are always just a message away with a very very quick response time. the first few weeks and even month of drop offs were so hard to see my son cry but I was always relieved seeing pictures within 20 minutes of him playing and smiling. it was the most comforting thing to me. I couldn't be happier that we made the change to go to this school. they have truly been a godsend to me and my family, especially my son. I would recommend this care facility to anyone.

Anyway, fast forward to 2023... my daughter and I attended a special event held in their school theatre. We watched a Hō'ike 2023 performance by Kūhai Hālau O Nohea. The size of the auditorium was very big and was nice that it's air-conditioned too -whew- because it got up to a sizzling highs 107° today. Cushioned seats were available on the first half of the theater closest to the stage which we were able to snag. This made it pleasant and comfortable to watch the show since the performance was three hours long. Non-cushion wooden seats on the second half of the theatre. I don't know what the capacity of the theatre was but it was a full house. Vendors were set up in the spacious lobby area of the auditorium. Bathrooms were spacious too. Nice venue. Review #3078
