I came to Norwood Urgent Care on jan 2025. I had very fast heart bit (170), chest pain and was concerned about heart attack. I was taken fast, EKG and chest x-ray were taken. PA came and told me that I don't have hear problem and I was dismissed. Very next day I was hospitalized with A-fib and tachycardia. I am very dissapointed that I was dismissed so easily with heart problem. The PA should have being more concerned because even though my EKG was normal, but the heart rate was very fast. He should have being more careful and, perhaps, recommend me to go to the ER at least. Please, be careful with those urgent cares. They can only diagnose a very simple diagnoses. read more

Came to pick up an X-ray disk for my husbands knee. My husband called ahead and they said the disk would be ready for me to pick it up. When I arrived I let the lady at the registration desk 3 know I was picking up an X-ray disk already ready for me to pick up. She informs me with attitude that she can't get up to get it and that I have to put my name in to wait. After waiting 15 mins she calls me over confirms DOB and gets up to walk 5ft to grab the disk. She could have just given me the disk at the time of arrival. It literally took her 20 seconds. She has poor customer service and shouldn't be interacting with patients. read more

I was visiting from another state, I felt ill with a barking cough and burning in my chest and immediately knew what was coming :((( My physician doesn't do telehealth, if I am in another state. Liability issue. Norwood urgent care was a life saver. I walked in on Sunday, I was seen by a PA 5 minutes later. I picked up my medication from the pharmacy 30 minutes later. My chiropractor suggested I visit these folks for a disc issue I developed after falling on my back as a result of a stepladder incident. I walked in bent over and in tremendous pain and, 45 minutes later, walked out feeling 100% better. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and efficiency of their operation. I was registered promptly, triaged by a nurse, seen by the doc, x-rayed, given my diagnosis and discharged by the doc - all in 45 minutes. Most importantly, their diagnosis and recommendations made perfect sense to this layman and the medications they prescribed will have me back to myself in a week or so. I was super impressed with the professionalism, attentiveness, efficiency, and kindness of every staff person I encountered. My only feedback is to ask all prescribers to please address drug - drug interactions when prescribing meds. I was not informed of the Paxlovid interaction with statins,(which should have been on my med list when while my vital signs were being assessed). Other than this I would say this urgent care is quite a large cut above any other I've been to. Keep up the good work. read more

I went to this urgent care today for a tick bite, I checked in and when I was called to the window, the lady told me I had a $400 balance on my account (which I had no idea of) and told me that she would need $200 for me to even be seen. I explained to her that I am not working and I am on state insurance, she told me that the only way the doctor would even see me is if I paid $200 up front. I honestly think that this is a horrible way to treat a patient seeking medical care, denying them to be treated unless they pay in advance. Thankfully there is an Urgent Care center in Dedham who was able to give me the proper medical care I needed. read more

my 88 year old father with asthma, copd and admin went in because he was having trouble breathing. he needed a breathing treatment. he didn't have his credit card with him and because he could not pay the co pay right then and there he had to come home to get his card. instead of treating him and sending him a bill they sent him home and he had to go back. the man was having trouble breathing. I came in with glass stuck in my foot. I tried my darndest to get it out myself but I needed a professional. Pros: -I arrived almost immediately after it opened on a Monday and waited less than 5 minutes -They accept walk-ins -Easy check-in that accepted my insurance without a referral -Clean -They were able to do the xrays and "digging" around in my foot fairly quickly. I was there less than an hour. -The P.A. I saw was compassionate and conversational during the "digging around." I was understandably anxious to know they were going to take a scalpel and needles on a sensitive part of my foot. They numbed me up (which hurt REAL bad) but once that was over the P.A. kept me distracted and comfortable. Meh: -I had driven past this urgent care a number of times and always thought it looked a little... unwelcoming and no frills. However, the Yelp reviews convinced me to try it and overall it wasn't sketchy or anything once inside. -No private exam rooms, just curtains like an ER. Not a huge deal in this situation but perhaps if my medical issue was more delicate I'd want more privacy. read more

I don't usually leave reviews like this but I am irritated. The doctor I saw there told me that I wasn't sick enough to have covid as I was profusely sweating with a fever. He continued to touch me without using gloves and told me my covid rash meant that my body was healing from whatever sickness it had. He gave me antibiotics that would've ended up doing more harm than good. I ended up testing positive for covid. read more

Let me start by saying I am an emergency room nurse and several of the nurses I work with have come here and rave about their experience. We tend to have high standards seeing as this is what we do for a living, so I knew if I needed it this was the place to come. Some urgent cares are very limited but are good for quick & easy things like a sore throat or a cough. This place is much more involved - it has a lab for blood work results, X-ray CT scan and ultrasound!! I can't believe how many patients come to the ER I work at sent from healthcare facilities without CT and ultrasound and this place has all three! Unless you need to be brought in by ambulance to an emergency room, this is the place to come if you are sick and need blood work, imaging, IV treatment etc ! read more

I have had the news on a few occasions to need an urgent care facility. I have had several experiences with them "name brand" clinics and they've ranged from marginal to terrible. I'd heard good things about this clinic and so I went there when my knee swelled up and started giving out. My wait for a room was less than 5 minutes. A PA, Kevin, examined me and was familiar with the retype of treatment I recently had - that was encouraging as it is the new cutting edge treatment. He a ordered an X-ray which was only a few steps away. Then he drained the fluid from my knee, gave me instructions and a script and sent me off. We were there less than an hour. He provided the right treatment and advice in a prompt and respectful manner. What more could you ask of an urgent care? The icing on the cake: I called to ask for a copy of the X-ray and they had it ready that afternoon. I will definitely use this facility in the future if I need urgent care. read more

Let me start by saying I'm a nurse and I've never been a fan of urgent cares. I've always had bad experiences. I've been pretty sick, but I'm new to the area and couldn't find a doctor who could see a new patient anytime soon. Saw the reviews for this place and figured I'd give the a try. I'm so glad I did! Parking is plentiful. You walk in and the receptionist is right there. You sign into the computer just before it. I waited maybe 5 minutes before I was called for registration. The girl who took care of me was so sweet and pleasant. Told me she hoped I felt better. I sat another 5 minutes and was called back to a room. The nurse took vitals and asked questions. She was also very pleasant. The PA then came in. She was easy to talk to. Was very knowledgeable. Listened to symptoms and concerns. Told me her thoughts. She ordered a breathing treatment to be done right there. The nurse set me up. After, the PA came back with my prescriptions already called in, to make sure I felt better. I was in an out in about 45 minutes and that included a breathing treatment. Great experience. Very clean, friendly and efficient. I will definitely go back. read more

I went in for a minor tick bite (or something related) and I do have my parent's insurance, so that may have contributed to my experience going so smoothly. In and out in about an hour on a Sunday. Much, much less expensive than a hospital/emergency room visit and more convenient than having to schedule a doctor's appointment just to get some simple antibiotics. Yeah, it took awhile, but what do you expect from urgent care? It could be even longer waiting in a hospital ER if your injury is minor. I came in, registered, waited about 30 minutes. The nurse knew exactly what was wrong with me, then I waited for the doctor (actually a PA). He knew what he was doing, was quick, and explained everything clearly. Then I waited again for "paperwork". This was the only wait that was kind of annoying- I was in pain and basically waiting around for them to print a document for me to sign stating I understood my diagnosis. I was there for under two hours total though, and it cost the same copay as a doctor visit. Absolutely worth it- saving time and money over going to the ER. And my prescription was ready at CVS when I got there. read more

I went the day after Xmas - and they said it was going to be a new "record" for them re: how many patients they've seen. I went in after twisting my ankle - and you would have never known it. Went here on a Sunday morning in terrible pain; the woman at the window was cold, talked over me. As soon as she found out it was NOT a workers comp injury, and my plan was backed by MassHealth, she cut me off by refusing to let me be seen. "We don't have a contract with them, if you want to be seen, you have to pay $120 up front." No possibility of a payment plan, no discussion, just pay up or get out. Obviously, the almighty dollar is more important than a patient in crisis. If I win the lottery tomorrow, I would STILL refuse to ever go back there, just because of their attitude. read more

I was here yesterday and I can't say enough how great this place is, along with every single one of the people in it. From the front desk, to the nurses, MA, PA, doctors, and X-ray techs. Everyone is nice and friendly. They're fast and they get you treated quickly. I have been here many times before, and I have to say out of all the urgent cares I visit (due to a compromised immune system for being on biologics due to an auto immune disease I get sick often. However the norwood location is the best. I would wait over an hour just to be seen. And I say this because I had to take my son to the dedham urgent care and it was one of the most awful experiences I've ever had. After being sick for a week, I went to the urgent care today. It's so hard to get a doctors appt that I figured I would try this instead. There was no wait. I was seen in less than 3 minutes. The nurse, Brooke, was kind and helpful. She did a fast strep culture- fast!! Chris, the PA, gave me a quick but thorough exam and prescribed the needed medication which was called into my pharmacy on the spot. This was my first time at Urgent Care Norwood, although I had seen the location many times from Route 1. My issue involved a Kidney Stone, which I would think would be one of the more complex things to diagnose. There is a CAT scanner on site, and once we got that done, everything became clear. Kevin the PA and all of the nurses and attendants were great. They have simplified health care delivery and made it sensible again. The staff was extremely nice and capable, they have the right level of equipment, and take care of people quickly. I would not hesitate to go back again and recommend Urgent Care/Norwood highly. read more

I have been a patient at Norwood Urgent Care since it opened, I loved the place the second I walked in, it was and still is squeaky clean, the entire place. I absolutely was happy to see two of the drs I had seen in Rhode Island at different hospitals and I remembered the and I had very high respect for both and still do as well as many new faces . I always get good care never rushed and one aspect that I fully appreciate is not getting overloaded with unnecessary tests or medications. With some issues they know that I know my body and they don't lecture me if I decline on a test , by the same token if they feel it's very necessary they give it to me straight & I know it's v important. I take my entire review back . This place is ridiculous- I was seen on Sunday and prescribed about 5 medications and here I am on Friday with worse conditions . The front desk tells me they would want to see me again but i'm subjected to my copay/deductibles . If your doctor did everything correct the first time , i wouldn't be coming in 5 days later with the same/worse conditions . I won't pay them another dollar . They get you in and out but that's what they want to be known for . I will not recommend this place to ANYONE read more

I have been battling a "cold" for over a week. Finally I gave in and went to urgent care. The women at the front desk are lovely and Dr. Scott is wonderful. He has a wonderful bedside manner and listened to all the symptoms I have been having. He diagnosed my sinus infection, called in my prescription and within the hour I picked up my prescription and was back home. And today I received a follow up call from them to see how I was doing. I will definitely return to this location if I find myself under the weather. read more

I went here today and was seen for a medical reason .I had an Xray and blood work I was in and out within 90 minutes .I have visited this office a few times in the last couple of years. The staff was absolutely the best from the front desk to the nurses to the doctor.They are very concern for your well being.I left with instructions of how to proceed with my condition plus the doctor puts his number on there for you to call him if your condition worsens.That is great care! read more

I was in terrible pain from a back injury. I was headed to the ER, but a family member recommended I come here. I walked in, used the computer screen to sign in and was called over to the receptionist immediately. After quick paperwork I sat down for less than two minutes and was called in. Everyone was super nice and personable. I was out if there so quickly and got a shot, X-ray and prescribed medicine in less than an hour. Very efficient, skip the ER and come here if you don't have anything major. read more

I couldn't have been more pleased with the treatment I received at this facility. From the time I walked in (unannounced) until the time that one of the nurses started taking my vitals was only around ten minutes -- and during that time I had completed all of my paperwork and paid the entirely reasonable $75 fee. Within the following five minutes the doctor (Dr. Tim Sullivan) arrived. Dr. Sullivan's examination seemed careful and thorough. And even though I was in a bit of discomfort, I enjoyed the experience because I really received the impression that the Doctor cared about helping me with my ailment. When the Doctor prescribed an X-Ray ($35), this process took only about another ten minutes. Although I could have elected to have this additional service billed, I chose to pay it before leaving which took only another minute or two. I won't say that I want to get sick just so that I can go back again but I will say that if anyone reading this review has a non-emergency issue, he can expect rapid, professional and courteous treatment at this facility. read more

My 4 year old has trigger finger and her thumb was locked. I was skeptical because it's such a unique, uncommon issue. They far exceeded expectations. They were gentle and cautious with her thumb, took X-rays, taught me a trick to unpop it with less strain, came up with a short and long term plan, gave me contact numbers, etc. What felt like a hopeless situation was all solved in under an hour. read more

Stay away. called for timing of covid test. was told 1/2 hour. Went , registered and waited, and waited and waited almost 2 hours. sitting next to receptionist who continued to give misleading information. had been there an hour and she is still telling people 1/2 hour to 45 mins. after waiting 2 hours, she was telling people "if you walk in right now, it will be an hour". after about 2 hours they took me to an exam room and i waited 50 more minutes. staff asked me to call management to complain about wait times. was going to but it doesnt end there. I try to log in for results an lo and behold, my name or password is wrong. I call the office and am told i need to gpo in to the office to straighten it out. BS. told CS person i wont but i want my results. she said someone would call. my thinking is maybe in a month! i tell her i want a copy. she says person calling me will mail it to me. i want it on my computer so i can print as needed. will deal with that IF anyone calls. They just moved to Walpole... maybe they need patients. They take your insurance and CC information so if you leave, its getting billed. stay away update next day: JUST THE FACTS JUSTINE let me start at the end. Justin is wrong as he is about so many things. When you walk in, you enter your name into their system. you wait, then are called up to one of the, in justins words "secretaries", who are supposed to set you up. During this process you are asked for ID, and Medical card. After they check your med card, THEY ASK FOR AND TAP YOUR CREDIT CARD. You are handed your cards and your CREDIT CARD RECEIPT long, long, long.... even HOURS before you are tested. I have still not gotten my results yet Juntin has told me i need to go to the office to get my password reset. So i am in government mandated quarantine yet have been told i need to go out in public to reset my password? Why dont i have a password? the overworked secretary hand wrote it incorrectly on the paper she handed me. I asked is she wanted my email address and was told "no, its all on this form". Justin told me they cant just reset my password because i didnt give an email .. but wait, i offered, but wasnt allowed to give one. see where this has gone? its all my fault. I caused the overworked secretary to give me the wrong password. i must have offended the secretary by asking if she wanted my email address. I lied about the credit card receipt. I guess i am lying about being told by staff including doctors that they are not given enough staff to handle the volume. i must be lying about my wait time. IF SO, why did justin thank me for my valuable input. BTW, he has said he will mail my results. i asked hm to give me a flashdrive with the file. he wont. says he cant email it to me because of security yet will mail me a copy through the mail yet WONT send me the file through the mail and that i need to break government rules and go out in public possibly with covid. Thats my fault too i guess. STAY AWAY Final update. only the facts. my wife looked at the hand written password and suggested while the first character looks like a 6 i should try a lower case B. It worked so i have my negative results. Justin, if reading, yet another issue to fix. write clearly and repeat the password to patients. no need to mail my results. read more

The receptionist/intake person was a bit rude which is the only reason I won't give 5 stars, but the medical staff was fantastic. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and didn't have to wait too long and they really treated me great. They even followed up the next day with a phone call to check in on me.
