BUYER BEWARE: Marisol Gullo seems to have a habit of committing Contractor Fraud and does not possess a valid General Contractor's license. Illegally performing high-end un-permitted projects charging her clients as a General Contractor adding Overhead & Profit to her subcontractors price as well as using unlicensed and even illegal alien employees and subcontractors. Her lead warehouse and installation manager, Israel, is an undocumented illegal alien, and she pays her direct employees under the table annd as 1099 subcontractors against Federal & Florida labor laws. She has been reported, investigated and even sanctioned multiple times along with multiple lawsuits and pending lawsuits that are not only from clients but also ex-employees. Florida Department of labor has found her guilty multiple times and fined her, yet she just keeps on going... like she's above the laws that are in place to protect the public and employees. That may be how they do things in Costa Rica, but very frowned upon at many levels here in the United States. She then changed her marketing strategy after the last run in with Authorities to be a so-called "construction consultant" and even has a video on her website, talking about a High-End project in Seaside, that there was no General Contractor on nor did she act as a consultant as well as had illegal subcontractors doing illegal trade work and Shawty craftsmanship without proper permits. Marisol has no formal license or construction training or understanding of building codes etc. Santa Rosa Beach is inundated with well-to-do Clientele who have been ripped off and overpaid for unlicensed and illegal general contracting work that she coordinates as an unlicensed General Contractor without Permits. You will see if you search the Florida State Board Of Contractors website that both her and her husband Antonio have both taken the General Contractor's test multiple times and cannot pass it and have not been issued a formal GC license, still to date. If your house burns down by her using unlicensed, electricians or floods because of using unlicensed plumbers or her doing the project as an Unlicensed contractor, good luck, trying to get your insurance company to pay for The damages.... You'll likely be stuck, holding the bag, and having to chase her in court like everybody else. I'm all for immigrants, like Marisol and her staff, if they want to use the correct American laws and licenses for the public protection, as well as if they want to go through the immigration process the legal way rather than jumping the border in her hiring and sheltering them illegally. There's too many quality interior decorators and general contractors in the area to risk being caught, fined, overcharged, And ending up with Shawty Craftsmanship inside and outside your home or business. We purchased a "Turn key" furniture package for our new home that was valued over $50,000. We were promised it would be done in 10 days and it took over a month. We live out of town so when we finally made it back here to see our home we were very disappointed. Not what we had expected. Paid for pillow top mattresses and got bottom line cheap mattresses. We also paid for complete beds and just got cheap headboards and frames. We never got our blinds and had to pay someone else to install them. This place is a complete ripoff. Cheap televisions, cheap furniture. We had everything appraised by 2 independent furniture experts and both said the furniture new valued at about $25,000 at the most. The other $25,000 the enjoyed while that laughed at how bad they screwed us over! The only "Turn key" about this was turn the key and realize we got screwed. read more
