I applied for a background check, and they insisted I send my SSN and D.O.B. to their third-party vendor to complete the screening via an unsecured email. This was extremely unsettling; however, the owner was forthcoming in explaining how an automated process had initiated the requirement, which was beyond his control. I took the class online. It was cool as a new notary coming in things are not always posted visually so you have to ask questions. Asking questions seems to be a problem with their online organization. First I finished the regular class and then took the loan signing class. I merely asked the question of does loan signing agent need to be printed on my seal and the man that responded had an attitude. This was the first issue. Now fast forward to almost two years later. I recently changed my last name and needed to amend my bond. I have been calling and emailing for the last 2 weeks. Someone finally contacted me 5/3/23 asking for the new paperwork. She also stated she would get my bond done. Well here we are another 2 day later and still no bond no update after another email and phone call that constantly goes to voicemail. My paperwork is due Monday and guess what I can't submit it because of a company not returning calls or emails. I had to purchase another bond from a different company just to try and get my stuff in on time. Not to mention I had to refer 6 clients to someone else because of this. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone if my life depended on it. read more

If I could, I would rate Notary Rotary here as a "TEN" star company. NR has been my go-to source for notary supplies and services for almost 16 years. I joined in February 2003. NR sells very high quality notary stamps and journals, and if you're a premier member, the prices are discounted. I love the Vision stamp, and the hard cover MOJO notary journals take a lot of abuse. The site also offers free efax, page separator and rescission calendar for signing agents. There is no other notary site like NR where you can network with notaries all over the country. It's a great site for all notaries, whether general or loan signing notaries, and the membership cost is nominal compared to other expenses notaries incur in this business. Over the years, I've met many, many wonderful liked minded individuals here. I highly recommend NR! As long as I am a notary, I'll be a premier member of this site. The Shoemakers are a class act. This is a horrible company with a whole horrible, unprofessional and disrespectful culture of doing business. Traci Shoemaker has no respect for other entrepreneurs and her employees learn from her example. I had issues when I first got commissioned and got my E&O policy through them but I brushed it off as maybe they were having a bad day because of the pandemic. A year later, I have learned quite a bit and now want to upgrade my insurance and apparently, in the whole company, she is the sole person that can handle this.... yet she does not care to return calls at all. I called on a Tuesday morning to raise my policy so I could apply to title companies, I was told she was on lunch and to call back... a few hours later, I do and she's on the phone... she never did take my call or return it. So I email that I want to cancel my policy because their customer service is just consistently garbage. No response. The next day, I call and explain why I'm calling and I'm told that even though I already emailed them requesting my policy be canceled, that I have to write a handwritten note requesting cancellation and that I may lose the remaining premium. I said I don't care I just want the policy canceled. I send the email and called back to speak with the same MYA or MIA and instead had the displeasure of speaking with Andy. As I was explaining my ordeal I guess I offended him also by expecting professional service because he decided to tell me to calm down and that it seems that I'm having a fit because they did not respond when I thought they should and that they have more clients than just Ms. Parker. He seemed offended that I dared to report bad service. They never did respond to any emails or return any calls and I ultimately had to call Travelers Insurance directly to get cooperation on canceling my policy with them. I regret ever wasting any money with this business. They are utterly disrespectful, rude and unprofessional. read more
