I wish it was much closer to me as I'd buy all my cards from here; so many to choose from and all super cute in design! They carry honestly a limited amount of journals and planners which I was surprised by. Tons of accessories are here though, from washi tapes to stickers, pens, inks, and more! read more

What a sweet sweet store with the cutest selection of greeting cards, journals, planners, different types of gifts! The staff at the store were so friendly and kind - especially to all the pups that came in to visit! You could tell that the curated goods in the store were thoughtful and perfect for any patron. Definitely great value for the selection that they have and some unique finds that would serve as great gifts for family and friends. I stopped in here very briefly on Saturday at mid-day and the small shop was pretty packed with customers. A pair of employees behind the desk were chatting among themselves. I knew I needed individual assistance and I wasn't comfortable asking in a crowd so I ended up coming back mid-week during my lunch break, and the shop was very quiet at that time. Just me and one other customer. There was just one person behind the counter and I asked for help buying a gift for a friend who 1) loves stationary but 2) is Japanese and lives in Japan... which is famous for their amazing stationary. She admitted a lot of their stationary and products were made in Japan, so those might not be what I'm looking for. I asked if she had stationary that was local, and she pointed me to a selection of notecards made in Santa Barbara and a couple of card sets made in Ojai. These particular cards weren't my favorite aesthetic, a little simple, but I did end up buying them because they were still pretty and they were local. She also helped me look around for other things that were not from Japan. We found a small notebook made of recycled stone, which was just so unusual I had to get it. The only thing was the price. I ended up buying the Ojai note cards (with pixie orange on them), SB note cards (with debossed horse) and the stone notebook and it came to ~$80 for these three things. Yikes! I may have to spread these gifts out over a few different holidays for my friend! I really hope she likes them. Not sure if I will return, based on the cost, but the selection was good, I usually love buying Japanese products, just not for my Japanese friends, and the shop was clean, well-lit and very cutely curated/organized. 4 stars due to cost and staff initially seeming distant and insular while the shop was busy. 5 stars for the rest. read more

Beautiful cards and writing accessories, but I was shocked by the service. Upon entering, the two women who were working were deeply engrossed in some hushed gossiping and seemed annoyed to have to say hello. I noticed another customer come in after me, they just glanced up at her and didn't say anything, it felt so weird. I didn't need any help, but the environment was so unwelcoming, so I got one card and left rather than taking some time to wander and admire the large selection. read more

I'm really glad we stopped by here! The staff were really nice and I found a Reiki Japanese Alarm clock that I've been wanting forever but didn't want to pay the shipping from japan on. To my surprise and delight there was no markup on it at all compared to the product on the designer's website. Stationary is super cute and I totally would've bought some if I'd needed it at the time. I will say you can probably find better value on the stationary specifically elsewhere, but not by a whole lot. read more

I always make sure to visit Noted when I am in Ojai. They have a great selection of stationary, cards, and other gifts. I purchased a beautiful handcrafted poster of Ojai for a friend and he loved it. The owner is lovely too. read more

This place is super cute! It's a bit tucked away behind The Nest and Pinyon but it's totally worth stopping in. They have really high quality stationery products. I bought one of the "Concept Planners" there which I'm using for work and I love it! I came back later to buy a notebook and brush pen from them which I'm now using to journal. The owner is super friendly and helpful. The prices are a little above my usual means but I think it's worth it for a stationery splurge now and then. Plus, it is the ONLY place in Ojai I could find that sells planners! read more

What a surprise and treat to visit and explore this store. I had just stopped to get frozen yogurt at Bliss and was sitting down eating it, when I spotted a sign, saying notes and stationery. So I decided to go check it out. It's a hidden gem. I never would have discovered, had we not gone to Bliss. You walk in and you are AMAZED with all the special and unique stationery items, and even cleaning items and plant scissors, etc. It's all perfectly laid out and displayed and it really is a treat for your eyes, if you love special stationery. Some come from as far away as Japan. There's even special water color sets from Japan. It's a place where you can find something special for yourself and also will find special gift items. Things you don't find just anywhere. I haven't seen a store like this, since we were in Seattle. It's a place you should check out. It's very much a hidden gem and a place worth seeking out. read more
