I also love that they have large glass windows/walls which allows you to get some natural sunlight and also see outside. They also have vending machines that are filled with drinks and snacks. It's a perfect library because it's quiet, but there are also snacks that you can buy and enjoy. When I walked in, I saw a bunch of ear plugs! No more having to listen to people around you type loudly on their keyboards! Parking can be very difficult though that only street parking and it fills up quickly. That's why I came on a Friday during the summer time because there was hardly anyone there in the afternoon.

We did some more walking around and staff in the science building were just as welcoming.

My daughter was charged for a book bundle that she opted out of and she never used. They refused to remove this charge from her account even though they lost zero dollars. They are the worst in customer service and could care less about email and school reputation. They are a Christian school without christianity.

I have been to this facility twice in the last month for Zulu krewe parties. The Zulu Social Aid…read moreand Pleasure Club is the largest predominantly African-American Krewe in New Orleans which was initially a benevolent aid society. The origin of the Zulus dates back to the early 1900s when the Mardi Gras celebrations themselves were segregated. In 1949, Louis Armstrong was chosen as King and saw it as an honor despite the belief by some that parading black face further influenced racial stereotypes. Anyone who has been to "the parade" on Mardi Gras Day can attest the krewe of Zulu, their elected characters and riders REALLY know how to have a good time. The partying, though year round, typically intensifies 60 days before Fat Tuesday. The convocation center has quite the reputation as well. This renovated gymnasium was formally known as "The Barn" at Xavier University. There are three nearby parking lots and the building is rather spacious. The last event (1/16/16) was easily able to accommodate more than 2,500 guests with tables, chairs, dance floor and a stage. A good time was certainly had by all. It seems, the building is rented out for private events including concerts and sporting events. I would not go so far as to say it is nicer or as nice as renting hotel space for a cocktail event, but it is undoubtedly a more affordable option. Particularly if you can stomach looking at those black and gold chairs up top.
